It is a good sized parking lot, but you may need to go a little further if there are a lot of cars. I purchased my tickets in advance through the Regal website and it was fairly easy to use. The IMAX theater, which is theater 2, is a great size, but the seats do not recline. The movie was amazing and the sound and picture quality was very good.

We have not been to this theater in years even though we see it each time we go to BJ's. Grateful it was open even after the major storm yesterday. Yes the theater was empty so that was nice for us. Hubby bought a bucket of popcorn because he loves movie theater popcorn. We usually "share" but it was way too salty for me. I know I have less tolerance for salt than most but I still thought it was too much salt, even for the average person. We had tickets to the IMAX 3D, we have not seen a 3D movie in a while and truth be told, the movie we saw wasn't elevated because of the 3D, I would not have been happy if I had paid for that upgrade. I guess that is more of a review on the movie than the theater. The one complaint I do have is that apparently the IMAX theaters do not have reclining seats. Instead, the seats rock back-and-forth unless you are in the last row of the bottom section which leans against the rail, then it doesn't move at all. The seats did look new, which was nice since we were used to going to the theaters at the Broadway mall before they shut down. I guess that's why they never invested in upkeep of the seats. All in all, I gave four stars because they were open on a day where everyone else had a snow day, the theater was clean, and the seats felt new. Hubby and I may have to start coming here now, especially since the theater at the Broadway mall is now closed. Just wish the popcorn was less salty...

I enjoy the option to have two flavors of popcorn. They also have a full bar and can serve alcohol you can drink during the movie. Seats are comfortable and well maintained. I've only watched the Laser AMC movies, but so far so good!

Anyways, this theater is much better than Lynbrook's for two reasons. Number one- it's AMC so they have Coke instead of Pepsi. Number two and most importantly- the seats and atmosphere. Lynbrook is very pretentious with their luxury reclining leather seats and swivel tables. Those seats are powered by a noisy electric motor that disrupts your viewing experience, and are bound to put you to sleep if you're not careful- you don't want to pay for an expensive nap. That is something you will not find in this theater- AMC Raceway 10 is the real deal with true auditorium seating. These chairs will keep you sitting erect and immersed into the show. I find the atmosphere in this location to be truly what going to the movies is all about. Grab a bucket of popcorn and a soda, it's time to go to the movies.

No fancy bars but clean concession stand in the lobby area. I went for first showing of the day, but being Tuesday and during summer vacation, there were plenty of moviegoers. I didn't realize from the seating chart that the back row is against the wall and doesn't recline as much as the regular recliner seats. I also sat right under the projection booth, so the whirling can be distracting but I thought it was also pretty cool. But the seats are very comfortable. I'm not sure about if the film screen quality is really that much different for IMAX, but i did appreciate the sound quality and overall cleanliness of the space. Overall, I realize the tremendous privilege of living near a theater that even has the IMAX 70mm screen. The parking is ample, the staff are nice, and I will be back if I find another film I want to watch in this format.

The North Shore Towers Cinema is so obscure that I never went there during my Queens years. But that the glorious era of the Utopia and Bayside theaters before AMC destroyed the locals, prior to suffering its own injuries in streaming times. (No I didn't consume chocolate egg creams on Ave. U and never saw the Brooklyn Dodgers but I do miss the old bagel place on Union Tpke.) I did check the theater out once to see Richard Gere's Time Out Of Mind. The frequent chatter was above Times Square levels. Yeah, I could have asked for a refund but I was here because it wasn't playing anywhere else. This time, the noise wasn't non-zero but it was far better than before. And after a hallway here and an elevator there, you may be surprised by this giant single-screen theater. Important for a movie about Springsteen, there was very good sound quality too, (minor spoiler ahead) helping to delineate the difference between an amateurish home recording and a rousing rehearsal of Born in the USA. The staff was friendly. Full disclosure/geography note: I am a public-transit advocate but it was a bit more convenient on a winter day to take Lyft from Little Neck. Express buses run to North Shore Towers but that only helps from Midtown. I have no insight about the on-site restaurants. There's nothing else in the immediate vicinity but if you're up for 29-minute walks or Lyft there are good options on Union Tpke., Northern Blvd. and Hillside Ave.

After going to another theater that advertised "reclining seats" to find that wasn't the case, I was more than happy with the seats not only reclining, but much more comfortable than the other place. There are two levels to the theater, some of the rooms being a bit of a distance to walk, if that's an issue for anyone. As for the food, of course it's expensive, but you're able to fill your own soda at the Coca Cola freestyle machine. I've only gotten the popcorn & soda combo (sometimes with the special movie themed souvenir popcorn bucket) so I can't speak for any of the other food that they "cook" on site. I know some theaters you can order food from your seat & have it delivered, but I don't believe this theater offers it. I probably wouldn't utilize that feature, I'd rather get up and get it myself.
