1914 is the best bakery! They made us the most perfect wedding cake. From the first inquiry to our tasting appointment, everything was perfect. Their cakes & desserts are some of the best I've ever had. Michael and the whole family are so sweet and helpful! Thank you again 1914 for making our beautiful wedding cake!

1914 Bakery goes above and beyond from the staff to the amazing cakes and desserts we were blown away. The bakery was part of our son's wedding venue and from the first meeting the staff took their time to introduce all their flavors and answer any questions and requests. We added some last minute dessert trays and the staff was so accommodating and helpful. My only regret is I didn't order more! Our guests couldn't stop talking about the taste of the cake and desserts. I highly recommend this bakery for your next event.

We couldn't have picked a better bakery for our wedding!!!! We had a Covid wedding that was pushed a year so we had a lot of time to sort through bakeries trying pasteries, cake, etc. and came across this gem looking for Italian desserts. We got both our cake and dessert table from 1914 bakery and they did not disappoint. The table included chocolate strawberries, various cheesecake, cake pops, tarts, etc --The cannolis are FANTASTIC!! My husband doesn't like lemon and loved every lemon pastry we tried. My biggest Issue with most bakeries is they are too sweet, but 1914 hit every flavor perfectly. We were also able to rent stands from them which really helped with the display set up. They were the most straightforward and easy to deal with vendor of any for our wedding and set everything up smoothly. We got so many compliments on both the set up of the tables and the quality of desserts. We've also started getting birthday cakes from them too, the cannoli cake is top notch!! Also got a chocolate cake since we didn't get to have some at our wedding and that was also excellent. Consistently going above and beyond expectation; I will certainly continue to recommend!!!

All our desserts were amazing. From the day we had our tastings until our wedding day the team at Gruttadauria's were fabulous to work with. Our cake was delicious and they completely worked with us on design as we had specific ideas on our layout. Everything was delicious and completely gone by the end of our wedding night.

Gruttadauria's 1914 Bakery (1914bakery.com) is located below Temecula, California's sun-drenched foothills. The photo features three delectable, bite-sized treats (the other 17 included eclairs): · Pastry: Golden, flaky, crisp pastry that easily crunches while blending well with the filling. · Filling: Fresh, cold, sweetened, light ricotta cheese bursting with subtle hints of spice that's very nice. I also tried their Cannoli with ends dipped in dark chocolate (also epic!) The chocolate was smooth and blended effortlessly with the pastry and filling. WHERE TO FIND THEM You won't find Gruttadauria on Temecula's main street or tucked into the endless wine country surrounding Temecula. Nope. This little bakery is hidden from view. Here's the catch: They don't ship orders or allow storefront visits (they meet you at the car if you are picking up your order). HOW TO GET THEM The next time you are in Temecula, give Gruttadauria a call. Gruttadauria is strictly a phone order, pick up, or cake consult appointment. Phone a day or two earlier if you want something, then pick it up. I called one Saturday morning at the opening, and 1000 pastries were on they're way out the door. ON THE CANNOLI SCALE... For me, Gruttadauria's Cannoli is a perfect ten. When you think about a Cannoli, Gruttadauria sets the bar high.

1914 catered dessert for our wedding in Temecula, July 2023. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! From the beginning, Linda and team were responsive and super helpful. Linda walked us through all of their amazing options during our tasting appointment, and guided us in choosing our pastries. I called/emailed them multiple times before the wedding to ask questions and make adjustments... each time, the team at 1914 was professional and gave us what we needed. Day-of delivery was seamless; the desserts were on the tables and in our guests' mouths before we knew it! In addition, when there was a miscommunication and we weren't able to freeze our wedding cake, 1914 worked with our venue to get us a replacement cake within hours. Overall, 10/10 recommend.

Had our wedding cake tasting appointment this morning and Linda was so helpful and lovely. We had a lot of cakes to taste and gelato and sorbet and pastries! Everything we tried was fantastic, it was so hard to choose just 3 cake flavors!! Truly appreciated all of Linda's help, experience and knowledge of the wedding industry. She made our hour long appointment so easy and fun and packaged all of our treats that we couldn't finish so that we could bring home with us. Really looking forward to our wedding so we can eat the delicious treats and can see their cute wooden pastry displays that we are renting for our event in action!! I cannot recommend 1914 bakery enough! We used them for my daughter's wedding in October and were beyond satisfied. Linda was extremely helpful during the cake tasting appointment. She helped us figure out how many additional pastries to order without being pushy or trying to sell us more than we needed. Do yourself a favor and add the gelato cart! It was a big hit with our guests. Not only were the cake, pastries and gelato delicious but 1914 went extra mile to ensure a smooth delivery after the wedding venue was changed at the last minute. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

We came here for a tasting to select a bakery for our wedding. Gruttadaurias exchanged one email with us before failing to confirm the tasting. We finally called to confirm. Based on the positive reviews we had decided to move forward with the tasting even though it was the only one we had to pay for. $5 a slice. We picked 2. Come time to pickup, we waited a while. When the cake came out, it was two of the smallest slivers of cake ever. We opened it up hopeful that it would be great. 2 of the driest slices of cake EVER! The chocolate slice was dry and chalky and tasted like a box of cocoa powder with some crumbles. The Italian cream was just as dry. But by far the worst part was the frosting. It was exactly like eating from a tub of Crisco. It was very greasy and has a slick fat like texture. Yuck! Worst cake ever.

This place used to be called Jodee's Bakery but they changed their name a while ago. It's really tiny inside, just 2 or 3 tables for cake tastings. Ordered our vow renewal cake from them in 2017 and it was divine! I also ordered a strawberry groom's cake to be extra, lol. I'm not a fan of strawberries but the mister is. The cake was moist and the flavor combo was delish! I can't remember exactly what I ordered, but it was chocolate cake with the best ganache filling between the layers. I normally don't like buttercream on cakes, either, but theirs is perfectly done. Not too sweet and very light and fluffy. I didn't feel as guilty eating it as I would have with a regular buttercream frosting. When I went for the cake appt, the owner was really nice. She sat me down and had a few different combos for me to try. There was a little hair in one of them, which was off putting. However, the cakes were all moist and tasty. I don't like dry crumbly cakes---who does?! Last time I went in was about 3 weeks ago. I ordered the same thing for my aunt's birthday. They keep your order on file and you can re-order it every year to get a fresh one on your anniversary. I like that they do that because most bakeries make you a cake to freeze for a year. Ummmm... no thanks! Service was a bit slow because the owner was with a couple doing their cake tasting. Her son was assisting another customer in front of me. I wasn't greeted when I walked in and stood there for about 10 min before her son could help me. Overall, I would return because they make other yummy things like cannolis which I have yet to try! Parking is plentiful in this industrial area.

Gruttadauria Bakery just relocated from its home for just shy of 100 years in Greece, NY. After all of those years of faithful and loyal customers, Gruttadauria closed their doors without any warning, communication or thank you. To those who had placed future orders and paid up front, they were left with nothing. No refund. No apology. No cakes or pastries. No matter how good the baked goods may be, how could anyone do business with a bakery that would literally sneak away, close their doors and stiff their long-time loyal customers with the bills of goods never provided. ***PLEASE DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BAKERY*** read more

We just had our wedding cake tasting and we couldn't be more pleased. The whole process was so amazing, they made it so easy. We went in really having no idea what we wanted for design or taste, they worked with us to show us their work and explain the process. My fiancé mentioned he wanted an order of cannolis for the wedding, I had never had one so I didn't really know. Upon hearing this the owner went and grabbed us two on the house to try. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS, we couldn't pick one flavor so we ended up choosing three. I feel at ease knowing they will be making our cake for our special day. I even plan on ordering for my bridal shower as well. read more

Gruttadauria's has come to California!! I can't believe it, pinch me! I grew up near the Rochester, NY area and my family and I always made the special trip to Gruttadauria's Italian Bakery in Greece, N.Y. They make the most amazing assorted Italian cookies in the world! I've searched all over San Diego county(where I currently live) for Italian cookies like Gruttadauria's. They don't exist. Not even in Little Italy in downtown San Diego. I know this bakery will do so well here in Temecula! If you're getting married, or having a special occasion, or just crave delicious Italian baked pastries, cookies, cakes, cannolis, etc...this place is the BEST! read more

Gruttadauria's 1914 Bakery made the cake for my wedding and all of my guests said it looked beautiful. I needed a smaller cake for 35 people that was going to be both beautiful and taste great. They delivered the cake right on time and quickly placed the flowers and ornaments I had ready. I called here only 2 days before my party to order a cake and they were so nice and accommodating. I described what I wanted it to look like, taste like and the colors I wanted, and they nailed it. It was a delicious and moist coconut cake with raspberry, and lemon cream filling, with buttercream frosting, fresh coconut and fresh raspberries, with a pretty lemon drizzle dripping down the sides. Malinda is just plain icy, and I was playing sweet bride because I desperately wanted an appointment with her because her strawberry cake with bavarian cream and choco shavings had been keeping me up at night after I had sampled it at a wedding show. It is surprising, because as a bride, you get used to overly effusive "so happy to meet you please give me your business" types. Malinda is a business woman, and isn't as personable as other bakers we "auditioned" were. Her cake designs are cliche. Typical stuff you could find anywhere so you if you want an Ace of Cakes style cake, this is NOT the place to go. They totally purchase their pastiage flowers, they don't even do it themselves, they just paint it. Her daughter, or a younger assistant was who I met with on a second meeting. She was sweet and everything Malida was NOT. Pleasant to talk to, accommodating, and helpful. Granted, we had had to wake up at 4am to drive the 3 hours out there and make their very earliest meeting, but inspite of that the girl was nice. So now you're wondering why I hired her and why I gave her 4 stars right? How could a terrible toad of a woman who has zero customer service have scored so high? Especially because I totally agree with Alice H.'s assessment of Malinda and her inflexibility. Well you aren't going to be spending much time with your baker, maybe only 1 hour total during the whole process. Who cares if cake looks good, you are just going to tear the fondant off anyway. What matters is the cake. The delicious, delicious cake. You know how wedding cake has a tendency to taste like cake from a box? They are all bland and really you pay for the outside? Well that is just stupid. You're gonna eat the darn thing, and you might as well enjoy it! For all that Jodee's lacks in customer service (and I seriously hope they read this and that woman changes her attitude) they make up for in product. Cakes that taste like they are made from scratch, not dry and reminiscent of cardboard. You don't sit there and go, Oh I could have just made a Pillsbury cake that tasted better than this. Jodee's has amazing cakes. The most delicious, chocolatey red velvet outside of a family member's house. The most amazing strawberry cake. This amazing orange cake that is her "specialty". And her frostings are light with just the right amount of sweetness; not cloying and heavy. What I have to say I really did like about Jodee's is that they include a freshly baked small cake for you on your one year anniversary. You don't have to freeze your top tier, you can eat it all. I also have to say, they are quite the value for your money - as long as you don't get some crazy design. We had a simple cake, simple frosting, no design, and we came in under budget for our cake. So amazingly delicious cake on the cheap? Hell's to the yeah-e-yeah. If like me, you can overlook extreme prissiness and diva behavior for value for your money and amazingly delicious cake, then by all means come to Jodee's. Just try to get an appointment with Malinda's daughter/assistant. read more

We used Jodee's bakery for our wedding cake and not only did it look beautiful, it was absolutely amazing. We had 3 layers all different flavors and all were delicious!! Our favorite was the Italian creme cake with coconut and pecans and cream cheese filling. So yummy! All of our guests enjoyed it as well, in fact so much that there were no leftovers, which according to our wedding coordinator is highly unusual. Absolutely LOVE this bakery! We picked up our free 1-year anniversary cake today and it had an adorable bow on top in our wedding colors and tastes just as good as we remember. Malinda, the cake designer, is so talented and such a joy to work with. Everyone at our wedding thought the cake was the best they had ever had. Top notch. We hired Jodee's to make our wedding cake in 2010. If you buy a wedding cake, on your first anniversary they gift you a 6 in two-layer cake with your flavors. Here it is 7 years later and we stopped in to buy a cake for our anniversary. Malinda was able to rustle one up, short notice. Also, she looked up our account and surprised us at pick up with our original decorations and colors! Quality, through and through. read more

We had Jodee's Bakery for our wedding and it went great. The whole process went very smoothly and the end result was beautiful and tasty too. We had three layers to our cake; carrot cake, chocolate with salted caramel and white cake with strawberry. All delicious. We did a few tastings before we picked Jodee's. We choose her because they were moist and very tasty. We were going to design our own cake but the samples she had were so beautiful we went with on of her designs. I would recommend her for a wedding. read more

I'm writing specifically to disparge Laurie P.'s review. I'm not sure if you caught Melinda on an "off" day or what, but my experience was completely the opposite. My husband and I did last minute cake shopping for our small, intimate wedding this last December. We had one bakery in mind, Sweet Layers in Murrieta. But when my husband called to ask some questions, the woman on the other line, was so rude and snobbish that we decided to not even step foot into the establishment. So, I googled other bakeries in the area (as well as looking on theknot.com), and came across Jodee's. What drew me in were her lovely creations, and the fact that they highlight their butter cream frosting. My husband and I wanted to stay as far away from fondant as possible. Score! So we drove down late one afternoon, about 2 weeks before our big day. The store was very quiet, but the gals were busy working away. Malinda's assistant (please forgive me, I forgot her name) was first to greet us and ask us what we were looking for. After a quick run down on pricing, different fillings and a few tastes, my husband and I sat down to look through one of the cake picture books. Because we had such a small wedding, we only wanted a 2 tiered cake. And we have a little saying between the two of us, " I love you lots like tator tots and even more than polka dots", so we opted for a round two tiered cake with Tiffany Blue Polka dots and a silver ribbon encircling the bottom of each tier. When we made our decision, we went back to the front counter, where Malinda graciously greeted and asked what we had decided on, and if we had any questions. We were still thinking about the fillings and the type of butter cream, so she let us sample their two most popular flavors; French butter cream and Malinda's butter cream. I'm stumped right now on which one we chose, but it was the sweeter of the two. Then we decided on having the bottom tier white cake with raspberry and white chocolate filling, then our top tier (which we froze) was the chocolate cake with the Black Forest filling (my hubby's favorite). Needless to say, our bottom cake was gone in two days, and we've yet to try the top, but I'm sure it's going to be just as yummy! We appreciated the customer service, the way they were able to accommodate on such short notice, and not to mention our cake was perfect and so delicious. We will be returning for our One-year anniversary cake (if our frozen one isn't so yummy), and all birthday/big celebration cakes from here on out. I ordered my wedding cake and grooms cake from Jodee's last summer! Nothing but good things to say. The cake tasting is wonderful, they were very helpful and let me tasted what I wanted. I got a 4 tier cake, one layer was almond cake with white chocolate & raspberry filling (my favorite), chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream, red velvet with cream cheese and german chocolate (my husband's favorite). And I also had a grooms cake. They did an outstanding job on both of the cakes. For the quality and taste, I think they are very reasonably priced!!! Oh! And for your one year anniversary, they give you a small 8 inch cake, your choice of flavors!! read more

I placed a same-day order for a birthday cake for an elderly relative, getting their 6-inch Lemon Berry Cream Cake. It was a beautiful cake with a smooth white frosting surface and very elegantly decorated with a red ribbon around the base and four small decorative red frosting roses. Much more prettier than I expected and tasted delicious. The price was reasonable and great curbside service. read more

Our wedding cake was part of a package deal we had with our wedding venue Monteleone Meadows. We had a 3 layer cake and Malinda allowed us to choose as many flavors, one for each layer if we wanted! Even though they are working in contract with Monteleone, the service and the quality that we received was superb. I had expected it to suffer a bit but thought it was fine since it was a free cake anyway. We were expecting 100 guests for the wedding and only 80 or so rsvp'd and that meant a smaller cake which ended up being problematic for our cake topper that wouldn't have fit in the smaller cake. Malinda made the cake larger despite this hiccup at no extra charge to us! The cake was absolutely delicious, the service was totally awesome and hassle free! The cake was a totaly show stopper! Jodee's Bakery has great cakes! We used them for our daughters wedding and it was incredibly unforgettable. As a matter of fact I still dream of the chocolate cake with salted caramel! I just wanted to said how beautiful my wedding cake turned out, the flavor was to die for and Jodee's team was top notch. They arrived on time and prepared. From the cake tasting all I can say Malinda was awesome. She helped us with picking the flavors and she even adjusted a last week request; my husband was totally surprised. If you are looking for a no-fuss vendor, Jodee's Bakery is for you. My husband and I were married in August of 2013, and we are not a fussy couple. As a former 5-star restaurant bakery assistant, I AM very particular about cakes and fillings. This bakery was straight and to the point and did not waste our time by fawning over us. Our tasting and design appointment were pleasant and stress free, and the cake tasted just like the sample (perhaps better because I was so hungry by the time I got to eat at the reception!). Some describe Malinda as an "ice queen", and I disagree. She was very professional, no nonsense, and told us what exactly what we would get on our special day. The cake was delicious (bottom tier: chocolate cake with salted caramel buttercream!! DELISH!!! top tier: white cake with bavarian vanilla filling. buttercream frosting, I hate fondant) and many people have asked me where we got our cake. Pricing was excellent, and they worked very well with our strict timeline. read more

Lovvvvvvvvvve Jodee's Bakery! We are getting married in November at a winery in Temecula, and Jodee was one of their preferred vendors. We checked her out on Yelp and based on reviews decided she was the cake vendor for us! We communicated with Malinda, the owner, via email prior to our tasting date. She always responded in a timely manner and said she able to make a cake that was similar to one we fell in love with on Pinterest. We set an appointment time with her for a Saturday at 11am. We arrived at 11 and Malinda was ready and had 5 different cakes for us to taste. OHMYGOODNESS! Amazing!!!!! They all tasted SO good it was hard for us to decide on only three for our three layer cake! Malinda was delightful and easy to work with. Our appointment took about an hour. Had our wedding cake made here!! First let me say the tasting before hand was so much fun and the cakes sooo good! We ended up with square three layers. Top was husbands choice of red velvet and cream cheese , middle was my pick of white cake and lemon cream filling and the bottom was a hit with all ,chocolate cake with chocolate mouse and salted Carmel mouse. Now she makes you a fresh 1 year anniversary cake of you liking, we got the above mentioned chocolate. read more

DO NOT USE THIS BAKERY. If yelp let me use 0 stars, I would. This place charged me an EXTRA $90 for a design I requested. All well and good because that's what I really wanted. The design was edible pearls that were gathered at the top and became fewer by each tier. The cake arrived on my wedding day, but no one knows when. No one notified anyone in the venue. They dropped off the cake and left without a word, so it was an unpleasant surprise when we saw the cake. No edible pearls in sight. Instead, white poc-a-dots (and very bad ones at that). The cake looked nothing liked the one I ordered! Not because I'm picky and not because my design was difficult. When my mother called, while I was on my honeymoon, to get back the $90 extra we paid for the design we didn't get, here's what the manager said. (1) "I thought it was pretty enough the way we did it." (That's nice but that's not what I wanted, paid for, nor did I care for HER option of how my cake looked) (2) "The pearls would hurt people's teeth." (A decent point, but that wasn't her call since I paid for the pearls and she could have told me that when I ordered the cake, actually showed her the design and told her about the pearls, or called me when she thought about that point). And when asked about getting just the extra money back she was very rude, unhelpful, and did not refund us one cent. Overall, this place thinks your opinion is irrelevant, does what THEY think will work best, and charged me extra money for posing an idea. read more

My wife and I had our religious ceremony on December 2015! We were recommended to look into Jodee's Bakery in Temecula. We fell in love with the variety of flavors and custom work. Our wedding cake was delicious and well presented. Nothing to extravagant (dimple just as we wanted). I will definitely make future purchases at Jodee's Bakery and advise anyone looking for a bakery to give them a shot! read more

Haven't been to the store in Temecula, but grew up on the west side of Rochester, NY and went there all the time. Had a party here in southern California and had people coming from Rochester bring Gruttadauria's so I could make a cookie cake. Am going to your new location within a week. read more

WARNING!!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS BAKERY!!!! I picked up my order and it was appalling how they did not do anything I requested. When making the order I had to call SEVERAL times to make sure they even received it. I sent them pictures of what I would like which included the colors and details that needed to be on the cake. The order was the COMPLETELY WRONG. The color of the cake and everything was not what I requested. I was horrified. The owner proceeded to say it was my fault. He said I should have checked. He was very rude and very degrading. I believe it was their responsibility to make sure the details are exactly what the customer is requesting and expecting. They have HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT GO TO THEM!!!! The previous owner of the bakery is named Jodee. I went to her for years and never had these issues. The compensation of this issue was only a $25 discount for a cake that was over $300. I was extremely disappointed and won't be returning. read more

Jodee's Bakery came highly recommended by my venue, and another vendor I had hired so I decided to use them for my wedding October 4th. I LOVED my cake!!! It was absolutely beautiful, and it tasted amazing. I met with Melinda to show her pictures of my ideal wedding cake and it looked exactly like the picture. It was a Pinterest cake! Had a June wedding and our cake was SOOOO DELICIOUS!!! I'm a huge cake fan and I was delighted to have found Jodee's in Temecula (especially being an out of town bride). The cakes were moist, flavorful, and light! We had 2 flavors the Neapolitan and the Chocolate with hazelnut praline. They were both a HIT at the wedding and we got many compliments from our guest about how good the cake was. Customer service was great too. Jodee's Bakery made our May wedding cake. It looked like a cake you'd see on Pinterest and tasted amazing. My husband loved it and he doesn't even like cake. I never even saw the chocolate layer as guests ate it so quickly. They were in contact with our florist as we wanted flowers on the cake and I didn't have to worry about anything. If you want something done right I do not suggest going here. The outside of the cake was exactly what I wanted. But I was very disappointed when my newly husband and I cut into the cake and instead of seeing a nice pink from ordering strawberry buttercream filling we received a Carmel filled cake. When I first called and talked to the owner and told her what happened she apologized yes, but was not offered any type of compensation or real answer on why it was wrong in the first place. For a wedding cake to cost $390 and to be as simple as it was, I expected it to be done right. When I spoke to the owner the second time she was awful. She clearly does not know the first thing about customer service and accused me of lying. Not only that but had the nerve to hang up on a disappointed customer! When I called back to resolve the situation she purposely ignored every attempt. I will admit I wouldn't be so upset if it was even good but it wasn't, it was very dry and hardened extremely fast . So if you want your wedding to be perfect and most importantly the CORRECT cake you order, do not come here. We just celebrated our 50th Anniversary at Menifee Lakes by Wedgewood and were fortunate to have Gruttadauria's 1914 Bakery provide our desserts. The cannolis were delicious-not too sweet! The shells were crunchy, just like grandma used to make! The other sweets were so fresh, tasty and beautiful! I was pleased to see the table almost empty at the end of the night. read more

I was looking for someone to do a princess cake for my daughters first birthday. We found Jodees on yelp and seen how beautiful her cakes were. I went in there to see what she could do and it was awesome. She gave me samples and they where awesome. It tasted so good. When I went in to pick it up the day of the party I was so BLOWN AWAY! At the party everybody asked where the cake came from and when we cut it to serve, people thought it tasted so DELICIOUS!!! THANK YOU!!!!! We will be back again for sure. Not sure what bad customer service people talk about because they where super friendly! read more

I went with the Vanilla Bean Sea Salt Scone, and it was delicious. They warmed it up for me, and for being gluten-free, it was surprisingly soft, moist, and full of flavor. If you have celiac disease like I do, I would consider this more gluten-friendly than celiac-safe. The gluten-free scones were displayed next to the vegan scones. They weren't touching and were spaced apart, but there is still a possibility of cross-contamination. The staff wore gloves when handling the pastries and seemed to take the proper precautions. They were very upfront about their food handling practices, answered all of my questions, and provided excellent customer service. The café itself was very clean, beautifully designed, and had a welcoming atmosphere. I originally wanted to order the Fruity Pebbles Matcha, which was a limited-time spring drink. Unfortunately, they couldn't make it with oat milk because the Fruity Pebbles mixture was already premade with whole milk. Instead, I ordered the Brown Butter Toffee Latte with oat milk. I got the 12 oz because I wasn't sure I'd finish it, but honestly, I should have ordered the larger size. It was that good. The flavor was rich without being overly sweet, which I really appreciated since I don't usually enjoy overly sugary drinks. My brother ordered the Peach Bellini and added a splash of lemonade. He let me try it, and it was incredibly refreshing. The peach flavor came through nicely without being overpowering, and the balance between the peach puree, black tea, and lemonade was just right. He also ordered a brioche tart topped with raspberries, blackberries, and vanilla custard, which he said was fluffy, flavorful, and delicious. I would definitely come back when I'm in the area for another Brown Butter Toffee Latte and gluten-free scone. Just a little disclaimer from someone who's still pretty new to navigating celiac disease: I'm still learning what works best for me and what risks I'm personally comfortable taking. While I understand there is always a possibility of cross-contamination in a shared facility, I also know that living with celiac and multiple food allergies can feel very limiting at times. For me, seeing a business be transparent, answer questions honestly, and take reasonable precautions helps me make an informed decision. Everyone's comfort level and sensitivity is different, so if you have celiac disease, please use your own judgment and do what feels safest for you.

I had a custom birthday cake made on short notice and it was AMAZING! I was flying from Virginia to California to celebrate my lady's birthday and didn't want the standard cookie-cutter, grocery store cake but rather an elegant, professionally crafted, artisan cake. Jodee's prefer 7-10 days notice on any party cake but after I spoke with them on the phone and placed the order, they had only 3 days to work with. They made a 6" round, three layer white cake with Boston crème and fresh sliced strawberries between the layers and a chocolate ganache frosting adorned with elegant scrolls and lettering. The cake looked so beautiful that I almost didn't want to cut it when the time came but hey, a cake is made to eat right?! It was absolutely delicious! The cake was moist, the strawberries were fresh, the crème filling and the ganache were both outstanding. I tip my hat to the staff at Jodee's, they were professional, courteous, and came through for me on short notice. In addition, when I picked up the cake, I was greeted with smiles from the four ladies that were there that morning and they each remembered I was coming in from the east coast to pick up one of their cakes for my birthday girl and that was nice touch as it made a business transaction feel personal!!
