It is definitely not the massive Targets that exist in suburbs and throughout the United States,…read morebut for the people that live in the area and for me who sometimes is in the area and needs to make a quick stop, it's super convenient, accessible, and the free validated parking is always welcomed. Due to its size, it has a lot less stuff than a typical Target outside the city, but having the essentials makes it perfect for getting in and out of. Shoutout connivence! RIYL: Target in da city

I knew better, but I went anyway and now I remember why…read more Two Stars. They had what I needed, but the experience was awful. I only came to the 5th Street Target because it was the only place that had what I needed,a simple pen for black label for homemade gifts. I came against my better judgment, and honestly, I wish I hadn't. First off, the parking is a mess. You have to park in the garage and get validation to avoid paying $7. There's no handicap parking right in front of the elevator entrance either, which makes things way harder than it should be. I could have used street parking but didn't feel like being hassled by the men that wait in front of the store. Once I got inside, I started noticing a man, Hispanic, curly hair, maroon shirt, no name badge walking past me multiple times in different sections. First in the makeup aisle, then again when I moved to another area, and again a third time. It really felt like he was watching me, not shopping. He made me super uncomfortable. I was using the Target app to scan items and make sure I was getting the right prices. Just trying to get in and out quickly because, truth be told, I've been avoiding Target for a while now. When I checked out, one of my items rang up higher than what the app said. I went to Guest Services, showed the price on my phone, and was told I must've grabbed the wrong thing. I hadn't, I scanned it myself before adding it to my cart. All this over a few markers. I'm sticking with my boycott. I came here trying to support my own project and left feeling watched, dismissed, and frustrated.

Located in off of Frontage Rd, off I-25 in Southpark Meadows, Best Buy is in a safe part of town in…read morea lively area. I'll admit, I love Best Buy. I have a very expensive home theatre, a bunch of CDs, DVDs, Blu Rays, 4ks, Xbox and Nintendo games along with a Galaxy Fold 4 phone and accessories. I list these products b/c many of them aren't available at Best Buy anymore. With the advent of streaming, Best Buy no longer carries physical media. So, when you stream Toy Story 2 and say "hey, where's that scene with Stinky Pete?" well that's because Disney has altered the movie and unless you have a physical copy your memories are all you have of the scene. Or perhaps you purchased a game on Sony's streaming service, yup you don't own that either. My point is Best Buy isn't there to give you an option to streaming anymore and their floor space has opened up to even more boring and drab "knick knacks" instead of electronic goods. Now I will admit the people are very nice and they have a dedicated checkout line! Trust me, I went to one in SC and they didn't have dedicated cashiers nor registers! At this Best Buy employees are more than willing to help out with questions and they seek you out! I like good customer service, something that has been lost over the years. The floor plan is relatively well planned however they're shrinking a lot of DIY items like wire lengths, and don't have a robust selection of almost anything say like keyboards, mice, you get the point. This seems to be a corporate initiative because I see it at a lot of different stores. I'm to the point now if I really need something and want to go to Best Buy, I'll look it up before first. I mean I'm someone that enjoys browsing but I also like finding what I need for a particular item the store should carry. Now, I've found this Best Buy seems to have stock a lot of items not many other places don't have in stock. When the first Xbox Series X came out, they had it, with 15 to spare. They have the Switch 2 on hand in case you're wanting that product. Therefore, I can say Best Buy will carry a lot of hot products on hand (provided there's not a manufacturing shortage). In Summary, Best Buy is relatively competitive with pricing and will have many desirable products on hand. The people are nice and if you're in a rush they're pretty good about having short lines. However if you're looking for a niche product check online first as their variety isn't what it once was a few years ago.

A follow up to my last visit and purchase at this store. I was wanting a dash camera and there were…read morenone on the shelves and what displays they had were all I had to go on what they sold. No sales person was around the entire time I was there to give me assistance on what makes one $100 more and various features. I was there for a good 20 minutes looking around for anyone in a Best Buy shirt. There was nobody except up at the cashiers by the front and CS counter. So I went to the cashier at the front of the store to buy the last Ring camera in the store and inquired about the dash cam. The clerk knew nothing but did tell me about the customer buy in program to get discounts on purchases that I'd never heard about. I ordered a dash cam and paid for it as well as the warranty and store buy in. She said it'd be a store pickup and would be ready on Friday. I've never ordered a store pickup item before and wasn't given any details other than show back up at the store. She didn't explain or give me an indication on how this was done. Friday arrived and I show up at the store and as I ironically entered the store, I received an email to say my order had been cancelled and product was returned and sold to another customer. I was furious as it was supposed to be ready for pickup and yet it was returned the day before. The clerk said I can buy another one and do a store pickup. so I repeated it back to him. You want me to buy another one and repeat this process when I've already paid for one that hasn't been refunded? You expect me to come in a third time and be out the $300 twice and still not leave with what I bought? Why was it returned and sold to someone else in 3 days? No answer. Now I'm not one to ask to speak to the manager type but this was outrageous to expect a customer to do. The manager came over and did whatever on his computer and said it'd be mailed to me in a few days and I didn't have to pay twice and come back to the store. The whole experience was one of the worst I've had shopping a higher ticket item here. Gone are the days of a helpful sales staff knowledgeable about their department's products. It's all very questionable why go to the store if you're not going to get assistance? Just order on their website and have it shipped. Don't waste your time going in person.
