I worked with Victor to install an amp, loc and Kicker box in my 2025 Equinox. This thing has ZERO bass in the factory speakers. We ran into an issue with the ANC, and because the vehicle was brand new and there were no spec sheets on it, we were not able to get it resolved, but I want to say that Victor literally spent an entire day out of his schedule trying to get this to work correctly for me and spent time on multiple calls with Crutchfield, where I bought the materials, and even replaced the loc with the same model from his own stock to see if there was a problem with the one I was provided. He looked on forums and other websites trying to find info on the model that would assist, but none existed. Ultimately, I had to have the ANC wires snipped elsewhere and it all works beautifully now. I absolutely do not hold that against Victor and truly applaud how dedicated he was to making this right for me, and since I bought the components elsewhere, it's not like he was making a ton of money off of me..he did it because he wanted it right for me as his customer. I had a good experience when I initially ordered my head unit and the Sirius XM antenna. Where things went wrong was when I found out what the total was for the installation. The labor was 750 dollars and Victor charged me tax on the service also. It's my understanding that service isn't taxed in Texas. Victor quoted the price of the head unit at 750, the XM antenna at 125, but didn't mention the extra cost of other parts. My total was $2,137. I was in shock when I heard the total when I came to pick up my car. I sent Victor an email about the charges but he has not responded. This was a very disappointing experience. Two things to know: (1) the website contact form (how you get a quote) looks like it doesn't work, but it does. (2) Victor will get back to you with a prompt and accurate quote. He rolls labor into installed prices for equipment, so his prices may not seem the most competitive. But you do get what you pay for. Victor's work was clean, professional, and prompt. He was very communicative, provided informative answers to my questions, and could not have been more helpful. After some initial back and forth via email on Monday, Victor slotted me into his schedule for Friday. He managed to move that up to Tuesday (after first reaching out on Sunday) and I dropped off my truck at 8am. By early afternoon, he'd installed a double DIN head unit (where a 1.5 existed before), made it look better than the factory unit, installed a wired backup camera, and replaced all my speakers. He even replaced a blown fuse for a 12V power plug and helped me track down the manual for an aftermarket alarm installed before I bought the truck, so I could make modifications to the config. I knew what to expect. Victor did solid work. He went above and beyond. And I would come back to him for more work in the future. I went in and purchased a set of 6ft RCA audio cables for my truck. They ended up being too short so I never used them. I went back to return them a few days later and the same older guy with glasses who had sold them to me told me they do not take open box returns. He never explained that policy to me when I purchased the cables. He then said that it states that on the recipe but no where on the recipe says anything about that. I tried showing him the emailed recipe and at this point he starts to get rude. Then he continued saying that it would of been on the printed recipe. I needed a car stereo shop to work with my extended warranty company to replace my broken stereo/gps/back-up camera/control center for my Ram truck. I did not want to use the dealership, and the warranty company required that a repair shop diagnose the problem, even though the unit was obviously dead. Every car repair shop I called refused to work on stereos, and every car stereo shop I called refused to work with the warranty company. And then I found Victor at Audio Mobile. Victor agreed to do what he could to solve this dilemma. He contacted the warranty company and plowed through their bureaucracy to become my approved repair shop. He then supplied the needed diagnosis, and provided me with multiple options for replacing the stereo. I chose the factory replacement for various reasons, and Victor managed to locate a source that provided a much cheaper alternative than the $2,800 head unit offered by the local Ram dealership. And, despite multiple obstacles created by the extended warranty company, Victor got them to pay the claim, in full!! Almost immediately, Victor began simultaneously selecting components from both his shelves and from his brain, and sketching out a rough order of magnitude on the closest blank slate he could find - the back of one of his business's cards. We set a date three days hence, and when I arrived on the appointed morning, Victor was ready to go. Around lunchtime later that day, I got a call from Victor. "One of the primary components is defective," he said. "I've ordered another one, but I'm afraid the earliest your car will be done is Monday." "No problem," I replied. "It is more important to me that the job is done well than done quickly." The next day, a Saturday, Victor calls me again. "Your car is ready if you want to pick it up today." I ask how this is possible and Victor explains he found the component he needed locally, so bought the part and finished the job. No joke - when I went to pick up the car I saw the defective component sitting there and ready for return to the manufacturer. I don't know if this story is typical, but I was a little taken aback at this level of service and commitment. I didn't push the guy at all. Ok, please read this and understand that I have no vested interest in posting this review other than appreciation for such a tremendous customer experience. If you have ANY car stereo craving, I cannot more highly endorse Victor at Audio Mobile. For starters, allow me to acknowledge or explain that factory car audio is crap. If you are not aware of this fact, it is only because you have not ridden in a car with properly appointed speakers and amplifiers. Here's what you get when you bring your car / truck to Audio Mobile-- the correct solution. Victor is a terrific car audio expert. You can either purchase components from his selection, or buy them on ebay or Amazon and bring them in for him to install at a _VERY_ fair price. Unless you really know what is up, you should probably let him recommend items from his stock. Going the route of online component purchases can be appealing, but you might overspend for unnecessary power. Seriously. I went that route and frequently look back and think I've got too many watts capacity for what I'm actually using on a daily basis. If you do tap Victor for his ability to spec out your system, you'll find he's not selling bunk components. In fact, all of his stock is the best combination of price / performance. Before I end this, let me mention that Victor will ALWAYS deliver a correct installation. There are other vendors who will half-ass the install and six months later you'll have issues with audio crackle, cut-outs, engine-whine, etc. I've researched this enough to see that all of Victor's work follows best-practices for the industry. His wiring will outlast the life of the vehicle. I struggle with Yelp because in reviews like this, I don't like being limited to just five stars. I got a couple 12s and amp from market place and didn't know if they worked. Went to several RADIO ELECTRONIC INSTALLATION places around Austin including best buy. Every place was over a month up to three months booked already and I wanted this system installed ASAP. I call Victor and told him what I was looking to do and he said bring it in and let's check it out, I came immediately in about 10:30 in the morning and he told me yeah we can get it hooked up you might need some cables. He showed me that he had the top of the line Rockford fosgate cables but I was over budget already so he said okay you can get your own no problem and come back it'll still be the same price to hook it up nothing extra. I got my cables in two days later he called me up said he had an opening earlier than I expected and he had my system install within 4 hours not one wire showing and everything so professional and neat in my car and it sounded excellent. All I know is anytime I need anything done in coming to Victor. Let's just say the first place quoted me over $1,000 he saved me over $600. You have to baby an old car, and they can be hell to repair anything on it. That said, I'd had enough with the cassette tape deck in one of my cars. After all the glowing reviews from Victor. I was looking forward to doing business with him. I had purchased a radio online and had the complete install kit for it. I had started to install it myself. I have installed multiple radios in different cars. It was not my first rodeo. I had to fly out to California for the week, but brought my stuff with me in my car so I could stop by Victor's shop on my way home. I roll up to his shop and was greeted by Victor and he takes a look at my car. I explain that I have done most of the work. He just needs to run the XM antenna through the channel of the interior trim that is already removed up into the dash. He was also going to have to redo the wiring harness because I had mocked up it temporarily to make sure everything worked first. My factory stereo was already removed. He looks over my car and checks everything out and then tells me he wants to charge me $150 to install my stereo. $150? Most other install shops charge $45 to $60 for the stereo install and another $20 to $25 for the Xm install. I was floored, especially since the work was pretty much done for him. The only thing he needed to do was clean up the wiring harness, stick it int he dash with the XM antenna and boom, done. This shop was on my list after all the glow reviews. I went home, pulled out my fish tape and installed the radio myself. Perhaps I might have gotten a better deal if I would have bought from him. I am not sure what his thinking was when hey threw out the $150 figure. He might have wanted to throw out a high install price so he would not have to mess with it. I love the comment on a previous review, "his labor rate was extremely reasonable". $150 extremely reasonable? One of the big box store's was going to charge me $65 to install everything. I just purchased a new 4 door Jeep Wrangler. The factory stereo was terrible and the factory upgrade stereo wasn't much better and a lot more expensive. So I purchased equipment online and found Victor to do the installation based on his strong reviews. Head unit, 4 channel amp, 2 pairs of 6.5 and a sub. All high-end JL Audio equipment and Kenwood touch screen deck. I could not have been more pleased with the quality of Victor's work. My install was fairly complex as the Jeep has factory tweeter mounts on the dash which I wanted to keep and just replace the tweeters with component speakers. I wanted everything to look factory, just sound much better. His install was very clean. We added a back up camera and when you put it in reverse it comes on automatically. The steering wheel controls still work, Victor used 4 gauge wire on the amp install without me even having to request it. All connections were soidered and heat shrunk, dynamat applied, etc. This was a first class install job. I have used Custom Sounds in the past and they did a good job, but Victor was much less expensive and his install every bit as good. The Jeep was done on-time and exceeded my high expectations. I'm going back to Victor for an alarm and power door locks soon. read more

I had a WONDERFUL experience with Victor at Audio Mobile and would definitely recommend him to a friend. Last Saturday afternoon, after having a very frustrating experience at the local Big Box, I did what I should have done originally -- looked up "car stereo" on Yelp to find a local business to install a new car stereo for me. Audio Mobile had great reviews and was convenient to get to, so I called to ask if he had anything in my (low) price range and if he could help me that afternoon. The answer to both questions was yes, so I drove over. He showed me the stereos in my price range and we selected the same one I had been looking at at BB. Here's where it gets interesting -- at his shop, the same stereo cost $90, where at BB is was $59.99. With installation and tax, my total at Audio Mobile came to $190, whereas BB would have charged $90 for installation and $40 for a harness, plus tax, bringing the total to over $200. Victor might not have the same "loss leader" pricing as BB, but his labor charges are fair and he treats you like a real person. Win win! One other thing -- only after he was done with my installation and I asked his hours did he tell me that he usually closes at 4 pm on Saturdays, but stayed open an extra hour to help me (I called at 3:45).
