These fellas are kind, understanding, professional, hardworking, reliable, etc. I'll go on in this review to explain how an installation with multiple hiccups and hurdles proved that The Car Audio Shop deserves five stars. ---------------- ANDROID HEAD UNITS ---------------- I ordered a beautiful 12" Android head unit and asked TCAS to install it. Nick initially refused, mentioning customers are never satisfied with them and neither are they. I paid for them to put it in after the warning, and I saw what they meant. It didn't work with steering wheel controls, sounded awful, etc. I hated it on day one of install and scheduled my next visit that day. ---------------- STINGER HEAD UNITS ---------------- TCAS only sells and installs what they put in their own vehicles, and I understand why. This Stinger head unit has my 2016 4Runner feeling more like a 2026. Everything works and integrates well, and the sound quality is incredible. ---------------- COST ---------------- $100/hr. Don't let this scare you. Whenever I stopped in for surprise visits over the days they had my 4Runner, there were almost always two or all three working on it at the same time. ---------------- WORK ETHIC ---------------- Find a chair in their shop. I triple dog dare you. When these guys are on the task, they're working and working hard. ---------------- WORK WARRANTY ---------------- Unfortunately for me, the dash cam rear view mirror main unit and one camera were faulty. The manufacturer sent me a replacement and TCAS worked 5 hours at no cost to me on a Saturday to get me fixed up.

At my appointment, from the outside of the shop, it looks like a hole in the wall shop, but when you step foot inside, it was like the Taj Mahal!! The lobby and what was displayed was pretty awesome, and very organized. Sohail gave me a quote that sounded very reasonable to install the speakers to my vehicle, but I had just recently purchased another vehicle that needed a dash cam installed. Instead of getting speakers for the vehicle I originally wanted done, I got the installation for my dash cam instead, and they were pretty professional and on point on how they did the installation. Very clean and very impressive. I've been in many car stereo shops before, but never like this just for the fact that the owner and his brother know what they're talking about and what's good.. no, GREAT for your vehicle! I opted for the upgrade. I had to risk sending the money to him to buy it first, then when he came to put it in it was a No brand name Monitor (straight from China) and when he finished installing it was showing me how to operate it, I asked him "What about the Backup camera, that was the main thing I wanted". And he worked, looked for awhile longer and said I'd have to buy a camera, cable and modular and he'd come back to install it. I went ahead and paid for the work he did, and he said he'd send a link for me to buy what was needed to finish up, but never did so I texted and called him to remind him to send the link, several times for a month, no contact. He Ghosted me. I had to get a different company to finish his work and get me a Backup camera for another $400. I checked out his reviews at first and they were 7 good reviews so I went with him. After this experience I've checked deeper and there are several Bad reviews. I will never recommend him, and certainly never pay till the work is completely done to your satisfaction.

This is the first time that have gotten tint on a car, and let me tell you, it makes a massive difference with both temperature and looks. The temperature is the big one here in Texas and this tint should be everyone's first move when moving the to the state. For my first time getting tint, I was also very pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to see out the windows at night. I had 25% VLT on front windows and 15% VLT on back and for how dark it is im amazed at how well you can see out the window. So get tint and get it done at Black Optix!

I bought a vintage truck online from a reputable seller on a popular auction site. The truck ended up being not what was described and the seller enlisted ATX Autosport (local to me) to repair it. The list of items wrong was long and quite ambiguous. It ranged from "vibration under acceleration" to a massive fuel leak to a failing spark plug wire design and many items in between. I was in an interesting position, as the owner of a vehicle but not the client paying for it. I outlined all of the issues and Jason understood that I was looking to have a vehicle that was safe to drive my family around town in. With each step of repair, it required Jason to spend some time driving the vehicle to see what was fixed and what needed further attention. By no means was this a straightforward repair. It took a few months to complete all of the work. Through each step of the way, Jason provided updates that I would consider far above expectations. I felt like he didn't need to do this level of detail on his updates but it proved to me how well my truck was being cared for. Ultimately, the end of our relationship included a less than smooth vehicle transport to my new home, out of state. We had some hiccups getting the right carrier to move it and, again, Jason made it happen. He took extra time to make sure the vehicle was treated right and properly shipped out to me. I am very grateful for him and his team. In this new world of cutting corners and finding ways to pad your bottom line, I'm thankful to find people like Jason @ ATX Autosport. Their philosophy of working on cars like it's their own resonated throughout the entire time my Audi A5 was in their hands. I brought in my Audi A5 to get spacers installed and to investigate a strange road noise. Joe and Jason were extremely thorough with the diagnosis of the road noise. They attached wireless stethoscopes to each wheel to pinpoint exactly where the noise was coming from. Turns out I had some bad wheel bearings, and they needed to be replaced. Minus waiting on parts to be delivered, Joe and Jason finished work on my car in 2 days, documenting everything with photos and videos. Going above and beyond in communicating every single detail is what I feel sets ATX Autosport apart from the other shops in town. I knew exactly what was going on at any given moment. Jason was also kind enough to do concierge service to the dealership to get my expired inspection stickers replaced. Even if you don't need any work done, I highly suggest just stopping by the shop to look around and chat with Joe and Jason. My overall experience was extremely satisfying, and I will be taking my Audi to Joe and Jason from here on out.

It was easy to make the appointment to have the Jeep towed in and they got back to me by the end of the day with the diagnostic. My brake line had blown out and they were going to replace it. The next day they called to tell me there were no brake lines available for my Jeep anywhere with MOPAR, or any other manufacturer. People in my situation are all waiting months for these things on back order. Most shops would have probably told me to come tow this Jeep out of their way until a brake line was available. Not Juke! They thought outside the box and let me know a hydraulic shop they work with could build the part for me, and it would only be $80 more! Perfect! Even though they had to run around town with these brake lines, and rely on another shop to hunt down parts and fabricate custom brake lines for me, they had my Jeep back to me after just 6 business days! The other great thing is Miguel kept me updated the whole time and I never had to worry about if my vehicle was being taken care of. The people at Juke actually care about their customers and I recommend them to everyone I know.

I bring up that brake issue because it eventually became a pattern of dropping the ball, and repeated issues 1. My car had to be towed because basic logic well known issue for GMC/Chevy 6.2 liter V8 engines have a lifter issue which requires engine replacement. The car wasn't in bad shape as you say. Cadillac dealership said I should have it towed due to the knocking sound. My car has always been kept immaculate. Yes you quoted a fair price, it was Lambs in Lakeway that was ridiculous and most people know they are. The engine took long because they sent the wrong engine and in regards to my finances it wasn't I couldn't pay . I was at the mercy of you and I was nothing but polite every single interaction with you. Your dropped the ball so many times and you actually asked me for advance payment at one point because you needed to pay your taxes . I didn't want to pay you UPFRONT Frank. You fix then pay, that's most every way it's done . You didn't have the money to cover costs which is a concern regarding running a business. I had also just spent money on another car repair and boat repairs . The car sat as I decided what I wanted to do. As far as stating you could have charged me storage you never once mentioned that and I have every phone call that proves that. Pretty shady of you to pull that out on your reply here. Again not on single time did you ever mention storage fees. So please don't act as if it was some favor you did. The car went in for an engine replacement. As you confirmed the day you put the engine in to test drive you call me telling me I need steering column replacement. Yes I have you on recording Frank stating that indeed the lift and big tires were the culprit. The steering was completely fine and it had not been driven once per you as we waited for the engine issue and replacement to be resolved. You now understand why I recorded you. You can't remember what you told me. I didn't struggle to pay you. I had a boat in repair and another car a Range Rover in repair. I communicated to you very professionally. By the way let's remember you had me pay up front on everything. It was the engine that was ordered that was delayed. 2. Regarding the transmission line. Let the public see this post. I pick up my car from Frank and I make it about a quarter to half a mile or so down road and what becomes the problem is the transmission line. Frank I have that call to you recorded as well and your claim that I accelerated or false and blew the line is total BS. It had nothing to do with big tires. I'm saving all my facts, statements from GM certified techs , and video of your guy coming over to "fix" it. Within a day or 2 it went out again and I made you tow it for free. It was your guy that you sent and had him do what he did and sent me on my way and that all was fine only to have it sent back to you. By the way on our recorded call you tried to lead me to believe with certainty it was one thing when in fact you were wrong and called me with another reason. Again grateful I recorded both those conversations. The reputable mechanics I discussed were my brothers out of Houston. My brother owns a professional garage and luxury and collector car biz for 22 years. The other reputable people was a connection I had out of A Cadillac dealer in Dallas. I mentioned this to you and so logically my car stayed locally with you. 3. The whole issue about you spending 200 for the detail I will just say to anyone reading this look at the pics of my Escalade left in his care. Never should have happened Frank. By the way I took a time stamp video of my car before it went back to you. I didn't spill the oil. That's a regular engine oil. Why would I need engine oil to leave in my backseat after you just repaired and did an engine replacement. Again shady of you to blame that on me. And by the way I had to waste 3 hours of my work day sitting there waiting on a detail. Completely unprofessional. 4. I asked you you fix my windshield wiper motor while you had it. You never did. I kept asking you very time you had the car and I have your texts alone that show you forgot several times. same thing Frank regarding the transmission thermostat. I asked you several times, you came out to fix my running board and forgot to get the transmission thermostat and windshield motor. Again pretty crazy you fixed my transmission yet our texts show you dropping the ball on the thermostat. I have lost count on the amount of texts I have that show you never show up on time. I'm done with my response. I'll update this post after claims court.

I spoke to her Monday and Tuesday this week to re-confirm address, pricing and details of what was to be tinted. Lo and behold she waits until one hour before her team is supposed to show up at my house today to tell me oh by the way she made a mistake and it's going to be $600 for me instead of $500. She is blaming it on the fact she didnt know our home was so far. She had opportunities to punch our address is on Friday, again on Monday and again on Tuesday but she claims she never did until one hour before arrival and now I've wasted 2-3 days of time when I could have gotten this job done elsewhere Monday morning or Friday afternoon last week. Horrible business practices this place has and I will never recommend anyone to them.

Only downside (on my part) was when I was there looking through different cars to find my part, I lost my necklace and have been pretty torn about it.

Let me start off by saying these guys are the best in Austin hands down. My suggestion would be to go to them before buying equipment and tell them what you're hoping to accomplish because they will know what products work best with eachother. I had a full install done here with most of it being what I brought in but they sold me a helix m 4 dsp/4 channel to bring it all together and man it really put it over the top. I'm not going to go on about the helix other than to say.. get one they are incredible. What I'm posting here for is to speak on how I was treated and the work that was performed. Raul and Randy helped me every step of the way and were very patient with me even though I can be long winded. The customer service here is excellent and the installation is absolutely top notch. Very clean ,functional, safe and most importantly sounds simply amazing. Bottom line is I'm very pleased with the whole process at audio master and this will be the only place I take my vehicle's for car audio period. I mean let's face it we're talking about thirty thousand & up vehicle's and you don't want just anyone poking around in there except for the best and that is what you will get from this company. Came in to buy some AudioFrog GB10 tweeters. Raul greeted me and made me feel right at home. The store was well stocked and prices were extremely competitive. This Stinger head unit has my 2016 4Runner feeling more like a 2026. Everything works and integrates well, and the sound quality is incredible. ---------------- COST ---------------- $100/hr. Don't let this scare you. Whenever I stopped in for surprise visits over the days they had my 4Runner, there were almost always two or all three working on it at the same time. ---------------- WORK ETHIC ---------------- Find a chair in their shop. I triple dog dare you. When these guys are on the task, they're working and working hard. ---------------- WORK WARRANTY ---------------- Unfortunately for me, the dash cam rear view mirror main unit and one camera were faulty. The manufacturer sent me a replacement and TCAS worked 5 hours at no cost to me on a Saturday to get me fixed up.

I spoke to the owner of the establishment and with his knowledge on speakers, amps, and whatever was needed, I decided to make an appointment with him. At my appointment, from the outside of the shop, it looks like a hole in the wall shop, but when you step foot inside, it was like the Taj Mahal!! The lobby and what was displayed was pretty awesome, and very organized. Sohail gave me a quote that sounded very reasonable to install the speakers to my vehicle, but I had just recently purchased another vehicle that needed a dash cam installed. Instead of getting speakers for the vehicle I originally wanted done, I got the installation for my dash cam instead, and they were pretty professional and on point on how they did the installation. Very clean and very impressive. I've been in many car stereo shops before, but never like this just for the fact that the owner and his brother know what they're talking about and what's good.. no, GREAT for your vehicle! She said she's only doing house calls and the soonest she was available is Wed Apr 1st (today). I really needed it done by Monday but reluctantly I agreed to wait for Wed so her team could come to my home and knock it out. I gave her my full address, city state and zip on Friday. I spoke to her Monday and Tuesday this week to re-confirm address, pricing and details of what was to be tinted. Lo and behold she waits until one hour before her team is supposed to show up at my house today to tell me oh by the way she made a mistake and it's going to be $600 for me instead of $500. She is blaming it on the fact she didnt know our home was so far. She had opportunities to punch our address is on Friday, again on Monday and again on Tuesday but she claims she never did until one hour before arrival and now I've wasted 2-3 days of time when I could have gotten this job done elsewhere Monday morning or Friday afternoon last week. Horrible business practices this place has and I will never recommend anyone to them.
