I only came to the 5th Street Target because it was the only place that had what I needed,a simple pen for black label for homemade gifts. I came against my better judgment, and honestly, I wish I hadn't. First off, the parking is a mess. You have to park in the garage and get validation to avoid paying $7. There's no handicap parking right in front of the elevator entrance either, which makes things way harder than it should be. I could have used street parking but didn't feel like being hassled by the men that wait in front of the store. Once I got inside, I started noticing a man, Hispanic, curly hair, maroon shirt, no name badge walking past me multiple times in different sections. First in the makeup aisle, then again when I moved to another area, and again a third time. It really felt like he was watching me, not shopping. He made me super uncomfortable. I was using the Target app to scan items and make sure I was getting the right prices. Just trying to get in and out quickly because, truth be told, I've been avoiding Target for a while now. When I checked out, one of my items rang up higher than what the app said. I went to Guest Services, showed the price on my phone, and was told I must've grabbed the wrong thing. I hadn't, I scanned it myself before adding it to my cart. All this over a few markers. I'm sticking with my boycott. I came here trying to support my own project and left feeling watched, dismissed, and frustrated.

We didn't grab a cart when we arrived, but grabbed so much equipment that Christian helped us carry the hardware and set it aside for us at the checkout counter. We needed him to walk all around the store and show us where to locate specific parts. It was great! They had everything that we needed. While staying in Austin my friends and I went to this Target to get some groceries, sunscreen and such. Our first challenge was finding a parking spot that we didn't have to pay for. We could 15 minute parking and them walked through an abandoned lot to the very lack luster entrance. My immediately impression was that this reminded me of the Target from the early 1990s that competed with Kmart. The ceilings are low and the selection was limited but I would say, basically being located on the UT campus, the inventory is probably targeted to stuff college kids needs you know like ramen noodles and storage tubs. The one bright spot was that there was a Starbcucks inside and after our morning errands we were ready for coffee.

For all you HP users that don't know this, there are HIDDEN screws under the lower rubber piece. I tried to put everything back together but now my laptop wasn't reading the Boot Drive. Enter Star Electronics, I found them on google and they are literally half a mile from me. All the reviews about their service and prices are accurate! I was lucky enough to he helped by Ramazan, who told me he'd do his best to recover my Hard Drive for $80 (a brand new hard drive was only $40 more). My laptop is my life, and I was very nervous about a self inflicted fatal error. Thankfully Ramazan was able to recover my hard drive and got me my laptop back good as new in about 5 hours!! Highly recommend them for any electronic repair, their shop in the Lakeline Mall is really nice too! Thank you Star Electronics you saved the day!

If you're in the market for the type of equipment Brian sells, audition appointments are very much the norm. And, it's not like its a pain to set up the appointment. Brian was super responsive in our communications. I've been to many audiophile shops throughout my 20+ years in the hobby. Brian, runs one of the best. It's a relatively small shop and just runs it himself, so he doesn't carry a ton of options. But the main reason for that is that he has carefully curated a list of offerings he know will make you a happy based on his decades of experience in the industry. I'm pretty confident I would be happy with just about anything he sells out of his store. He's super approachable and isn't belittling or snobby like many audiophile sales people tend to be - he actually makes it fun to shop for audiophile equipment. He's also very patient and not pushy at all. Just a great experience. Super happy I made the trip down to Austin to visit Brian's shop and will definitely be spending my audiophile budget with Brian from now on.

I came in again this past week to trade in my old device and finish setting up my new device. Sadly, Micole wasn't in that day, and someone else named Yareli helped me. Unfortunately, Yareli wasn't polite or helpful. I'm not sure if employees at Verizon work on some sort of commission, but it was pretty clear that Yareli only wanted to help if I paid for it. I've been a Verizon customer for over 15 years, and I have never been treated that way. I had just bought a whole new iPhone and she quickly shut down as soon as I said I wasn't interested in paying $29.99 for her to set up my device. I was already halfway through setting it up but had encountered a roadblock because something was wrong with the settings of my Verizon account (a Verizon rep needed to change it for me, and I wasn't able to do this myself). Yareli was short with me and ended up completely walking away after a few minutes once I said I just had a few questions and didn't need her to set up the whole device. Mind you, I still had a few questions that she didn't answer. My sister had come in with me and also had the same issue. When we finished setting up our devices and were ready to completely wipe and trade in the old ones, Yareli took my sister's phone and marked on her iPad that it was in "very bad condition". This was because the screen protector had a crack...we told Yareli that it was just the protector and took it off in front of her to show that the screen was intact, and she rolled her eyes. She then marked on her iPad that it was in "good condition", which changed the trade-in value from $100 to $1000. Given the huge difference that change made in the value of the trade-in, Yareli should have been extra cautious and should have inquired about the cracks instead of making an assumption. Nevertheless, it was really obvious it was just the screen protector, so truly it just seemed like Yareli wanted to pull something on us. I totally understand that everyone has a bad day once in a while, but Yareli made it seem like we were asking her to bring us a piece of the moon, when in reality we were asking her questions well within the realm of her job description. Her behavior was embarrassing and unacceptable in a client-facing role.

The next day they called to tell me there were no brake lines available for my Jeep anywhere with MOPAR, or any other manufacturer. People in my situation are all waiting months for these things on back order. Most shops would have probably told me to come tow this Jeep out of their way until a brake line was available. Not Juke! They thought outside the box and let me know a hydraulic shop they work with could build the part for me, and it would only be $80 more! Perfect! Even though they had to run around town with these brake lines, and rely on another shop to hunt down parts and fabricate custom brake lines for me, they had my Jeep back to me after just 6 business days! The other great thing is Miguel kept me updated the whole time and I never had to worry about if my vehicle was being taken care of. The people at Juke actually care about their customers and I recommend them to everyone I know.

I really needed it done by Monday but reluctantly I agreed to wait for Wed so her team could come to my home and knock it out. I gave her my full address, city state and zip on Friday. I spoke to her Monday and Tuesday this week to re-confirm address, pricing and details of what was to be tinted. Lo and behold she waits until one hour before her team is supposed to show up at my house today to tell me oh by the way she made a mistake and it's going to be $600 for me instead of $500. She is blaming it on the fact she didnt know our home was so far. She had opportunities to punch our address is on Friday, again on Monday and again on Tuesday but she claims she never did until one hour before arrival and now I've wasted 2-3 days of time when I could have gotten this job done elsewhere Monday morning or Friday afternoon last week. Horrible business practices this place has and I will never recommend anyone to them.

This guy that he sent had to come back because break line and components came off next day while driving. I have pics and texts to prove. My GM 6.2 V8 come to find out common problem for that motor lifters went out so I went to him for the engine replacement. His price quoted was pretty good so I gave him a shot. My car was not even drivable this whole time (we had to wait on engine and things for months) yet I get a call the day he test drives it for the first time and he tells me I need new steering column. The car did not go in for steering issues. It was completely fine. He blames it on wear and tire from my lift and big tires. I call the people who did my lift and I called covert Cadillac certified mechanics and gave the history of car and lift and all and they called BS. My fault for not driving to Frank's place to see for myself. So I pick it up after engine replacement and steering column replacement. I get not but a mile down road from his shop and no acceleration and engine is just revving up loud . I coast off the road to luckily a gas station right there. What looks like oil and grease is splattered all over undercarriage and side and back windows. I have pics of all this. Transmission line came off. I won't give any more specific on this because I'm in process of filing the lawsuit and taking him to court. So He has a guy come meet me, I took video of his mechanics actions and what he did and Frank telling him on the phone I'm good to go, needless to say he screwed up. I get home and next day the car does it again right as I drive out of my home. I call Frank to get it towed back to his shop which is about 45 min to an hour from Lakeway. Frank gets car back, now he tells me I need new transmission. After transmission I go back to car to pickup and I go to open my door and there was mechanic grease all over headliner and seats, spilled oil on my rubber mats, bird shit all over the outside and dust and pollen caked the interior. He left windows cracked. I took pics of everything as proof. He decides to offer me a detail, so he sends me down the road. He paid for it yet I waited 3 hours. What I'm paid for my time in work you could say was a bigger loss. The fact alone my car was in that condition when he called to tell me it was ready is reason alone you shouldn't use him. I've included pics with this post. I could go on with several other smaller things I asked him to do while he had my car for engine replacement and transmission repair that I needed done. He never fixed them. I again have proof where he acknowledges he forgot so now I have to reschedule to have him finish the job. I also recorded most of our phone conversations that prove he apologizes for messing up. It came to the point where I was recording the convos because prior to me doing that it was just word salad on his part and I knew it this point I needed to document for the court. You would be amazed how many texts I have where I have had to constantly follow up and check on him after he would give me a supposed timeline or update with a promise he would keep me updated. I'm convinced all these reviews on here that are high stars aren't legit whatsoever. I have meticulously documented everything with pics, texts and phone conversations. If you're smart and reading this don't give him your business no matter how well quoted he may be . He may try to defend himself with a reply like some others he's done to on here. I've got it all though m, the truth. I was always extremely nice in all my texts to him, I was at the mercy of his screw ups and didn't want to be a jerk. No matter what when your rude or a jerk you run the risk to be even more screwed over so I chose to take high road and he knows it. I've verified and shown all my proof to several different master General Motors Master technicians and they all came back with resounding response that Frank was at fault. So now it will be in the courts hands and I will update this once it's over. For anyone that would like to know more you can contact me. I've got all you would need to run as fast as you can from this mechanic. I've even documented some new mechanics that showed me what things he did that they couldn't believe from when he did the engine replacement. His shop spliced so many wires and I took video the moment the mechanics found these issues and they talk on camera about it. I've asked Frank over the last several weeks and really last 6 months to send me an itemized list of repairs like a receipt. His reply was he texted me the cost every time he had to charge me for something. Last thing, he never once showed up on time for any of the jobs that he did. I have proof of his reasons for being late and apologies for every one of them. What kind of professional does that. All the more reason to believe these reviews are fake

The first job was to cut out a hole in my back panel so a subwoofer properly aligned with the hole. Which unfortunately they messed up their measurements and cut a hole in my car and the speaker did not align. Therefore I have a hole in the side of my car with nothing behind it except for part of an amp. I also paid money for a speaker grill that is purposely designed to rest on top of a subwoofer however there is nothing is behind it now. The second job was to install a working audio system into my car. After 1 month of the job being complete, the system has totally failed. So in a nutshell, I have a hole in side of my Range Rover side panel and an audio system that does not work. Oh and I'm out $2,000 USD. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Before buying anything, I even sent him a picture of the part to confirm I was ordering the correct item. He confirmed it. The part ended up being back-ordered, so it took about two weeks to arrive. Once it came in, I brought the vehicle to him expecting a straightforward plug-and-play install--because that's exactly how it was described to me. A few hours into the job, he called and said, "This is a lot of work, I have to completely take apart your dash." If the job required that level of teardown, I should have been told before anything was touched. He sent me pictures showing my entire dash completely disassembled. At that point, I had no real choice but to let him continue since the vehicle was already torn apart. I asked for a ballpark estimate. He told me they "usually charge $750 for the day." I was shocked--this was never mentioned upfront, especially after I had clearly said I didn't want to spend much. But the dash was already apart, so again, I had no options. Shortly after, he called again: the unit would not work, and he had no solution other than advising me to call Emerald Integrations. Emerald responded that they did not have a fix and recommended closing everything up so they could issue me a refund for the part. Jacob then told me he had to return my vehicle that same day because he was booked the next day, meaning he wasn't going to fix the issue regardless--he'd just reassemble the dash and hand the car back. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, he informed me he would "discount" the charge from $750 down to $600. I was stunned. I ordered the exact part he told me to order, he confirmed it, he tore my entire dash apart, could not complete the job, provided no solution, and then charged me $600 anyway. I told him clearly this was not fair and asked him to reconsider. He refused and stated he would not issue any refund. In my opinion, this situation falls under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, and if I am not refunded, I will be seeking legal counsel to address the damages. I've been in this industry for decades and I have never dealt with a situation handled this poorly. Maybe he does quality work--I can't say, because he never completed the job. But charging someone hundreds of dollars after recommending the wrong part, confirming it, disassembling the entire dash, failing to install it, and giving no upfront estimate is, in my experience, unethical and unacceptable. If you choose to use Speaker Easy, I strongly recommend you get every detail in writing--the cost, the scope of work, what happens if the part doesn't fit, and what you are expected to pay. Otherwise, you may end up in the same situation I did. There are many honest and transparent shops out there. Based on my experience, this was not one of them.
