Several months ago my son's basketball hoop came crashing down from a strong wind and completely banged up the side of my car. My insurance company selected MB Collision for me so that's where I went. They were thorough in identifying the damage, getting paperwork done, working with my insurance, and getting me set up in a rental car. They made the painful process of leaving your own car behind as easy on me as possible. The car was ready as promised and no one would ever know there had ever been any damage to the side of my car. Phew! We are back in business. Fast forward several days later and I scrape up the same side of my car I just had fixed. This time it was my fault. There was no question where I was headed to take care of the car. I got an estimate, discussed how long the job would take (approximately 2-3 days), and because I was paying out of pocket this time I decided to get one more estimate. The 2nd estimate came out higher and I waited in a sea of fumes with nowhere to sit in an industrial garage while waiting to get it! So, back to MB Collision I went. Just got my car back today after dropping it off this morning! I was thrilled they had it done earlier than promised! Pedro, the man who helped me, was really great when he called to give me the good news!! Unlike many other body shops, this one has a nice covered entry with an actual waiting room that does not smell like chemicals and car parts (while seemingly a small consideration when choosing a body shop it's not when you may be waiting around in the summer valley heat). Everyone who has helped me there has been lovely, very friendly and truthful about what to expect from the process and wait time. I hope I don't need more body work in the future, but if I do I'm going straight there!

But a couple of days ago, a truck damaged my hood, bumper, and grille, so it was definitely time to finally get everything fixed. I took my car to Hovee's Auto Body & Paint, and Melvin, the owner, replaced the hood, front bumper, and grille, and repainted the front fenders. I received my car back in less than 5 days and WOW, THE SPARK CAME BACK!!! The car looks amazing! Melvin did such an amazing job. You can tell he takes painting cars very seriously and really cares about the quality of his work. I've also seen some of the other cars he's painted at his shop, and his work really speaks for itself. The cars he works on are seriously a work of art. Romaina was the only Autobody shop in a 30 mile radius of me that would give a reasonable price to fix the damage. The service was fantastic, David and his team picked up and dropped off my car from my house (included in the quoted price) and delivered my new spotless and dent-less car in a timely manner. I was skeptical to see how the results would be, especially since the dent was on a difficult part following the aerodynamic lines of the car, also since the price was extremely competitive. In Los Angeles, the driving capital of the world, there isn't a shortage of mechanics and body shops but not all are created equally. JoJo's Auto Body is top notch! My dad has been a client of Manar and JoJo's Auto Body for various projects and of course recommended him highly. My dad is of a certain generation where nothing less than perfection is acceptable, so I knew he'd done his due diligence. JoJo's had done some significant work on two of my parents' cars. Of course, then, I contact Manar. Unfortunately, parked right in front of our home, my driver's side view mirror was clipped by a passing car that had drifted. I happened to be inside the car and the car drifted right, hit the mirror and sped off. Immediately after, I contacted Manar. We scheduled an intake. He was punctual, professional, and transparent about options and cost. He provided me with the necessary information and I felt absolutely no pressure to make a decision immediately. He had one of his technicians tape up the remnants of the rear view mirror to cover it while we decided. A few weeks passed and we decided to have the entire mirror replaced. We asked Manar to let us know when the mirror would arrive and we could just come in and have it taken care of quickly. He contacted me on a Monday to say the mirror replacement was at the shop. We scheduled a time for me to take the car on Wednesday and within 35 minutes of arriving the work was done. In addition to his professionalism, quality of work, and honesty, Jojo's is a well managed and kept body shop. I mean no one really wants to sit around a body shop but if ever you need to, JoJo's is immaculate. There is plenty of parking, clear signage, and a welcome reception and office manager. Each visit I was asked if I needed anything to drink, including water or coffee. There is clear management signage about their policies and pricing No one ever wants to deal with body work but if you have to, please do yourself a favor and go to JoJo's Auto Body!
