I have to say I'm very disappointed. I'm stranded at the intersection of Owensmouth and Devonshire LITERALLY across from them. Mt roadside assistance said it would take an hour to arrive. It's 95+ degrees out here at 2:30pm. My husband walked over there to ask if they can help us, either jumpstart or tow our car to their lot or to our dealership and the guy didn't even want to help us he was making grunting noise and told my husband to look at our manual. I mean I'm staring at their business isn't this the whole point of of your service?? I was willing to pay out of pocket for their help or service done. I have been in a couple accidents over the last two years and although the visible damage was covered by the other drivers' insurance, my 2009 Mazda 3 started to develop this obnoxious rattling noise from the rear axle/trunk area when I would go over rough roads or bumps. This problem irritated me a ton, and I figured there probably wasn't anything I could do about it. A friend recommended I get it checked out, so called I Chatsworth Auto Repair and they said they could fit me in the next morning. I dropped my car off, and the office staff and mechanics were friendly and professional. It took them a while to find all the rattling noises, but they took my car out to drive a few times until they found all the sources, and eventually seemed to solve the issue. Even though there were multiple sources for the rattling, they fixed them all and swapped out my car battery in about 5 hours. Driving around without the rattling noise is so worth it! My fiance and I have gone here to have our cars serviced before with no problems ... until now. My fiance's car needed to have some minor repairs done (which costs about $400). Fast service - which is great. However, when the guy went to take the car for a test drive, he did something where now underneath the bumper is practically ripping apart. Unfortunately, we did not look over the car thoroughly when he returned from the test drive (which we normally do, but for some reason we didn't this time). We paid for the services and then proceeded to drive home. Then we started hearing a loud sound coming from the car. It wasn't the engine, but definitely something coming from underneath the car. Because the portion underneath the bumper was no longer "attached" to the car, it was catching major wind when we drove. That was the sound it was making. We pulled over to the side of the road and saw the damage. We were PISSED! We were mad at the guy and we were mad at ourselves for not checking the car after his test drive. We knew it would be a no-win for us because the guy could easily say he didn't do anything. We got home (after driving 20 mph because we didn't want to drive faster and make it worse than it already is) and we were still fuming. We were going to forget about it and leave it be. But my fiance ended up calling the spot and asking the driver if he ended up hitting something while he test drove the car - or if he went to fast on a dip and it scraped the underside of the car. But the driver denied it. He asked us, "Why? Is something wrong?" My fiance told him what he found as we drove not even a mile (literally) away from the shop. The driver still denied it. I know it wasn't us. The car was in absolute tip-top shape (aside from having the brakes done - which is why we initially brought it in). And my fiance LOVES his car and takes VERY GOOD care of it. And we're not the type of people to make false accusations. This truly happened to us. Because of the service - and the denial to what happened to our car - we will NEVER return to this spot. It's a shame because we've been going to this spot for years. We were happy with their service, but not anymore. read more

Same relay ranges for $6-24 for the most pricy one online shipped. 20-30min on car from time I rolled in to time finished job....labor charged as 1 hour @$95perhour. For something I should have been charged $130 MAX, I paid almost $200. That would have been fine if they didn't play it like a scam. read more

So this is my second review for this business, my first was written over a year ago. Since then, this has become my regular mechanic shop. Mel and his crew are fantastic! They save the old parts for me to see without me having to even ask, and take the time to explain to me exactly what was wrong with the car. They don't just take your money, fix your car, and send you on your merry way; they also take the time to educate you about your car and what was going on with it. Today I really challenged them, as my family and I have a family trip planned for Disneyland this week, and we leave tomorrow. Over the weekend , the car developed a horrendous squealing noise while driving, coming from the back driver's side tire. I couldn't drop it off any earlier than this afternoon at about 2:15, on a Monday, their busiest day of the week. I told Mel they could keep it overnight if need be, and if they couldn't fit it in, to let us know and we would rent a car. He gave me and my kids a ride home and said he'd see what they could do. Just before 4pm, Mel called to tell me what was wrong with the car and that it had been fixed. No need to rent a car, after all. I am extremely impressed by these guys! What a disappointment. For many years my wife, son and I all get our tires and brakes replaced here. I also take all my company trucks for tires and service. Went there this morning with a nail in my tire and was treated like a nobody. Asked if they can fix my flat and right away, we're too busy, we don't know when we can get to it, come back later. Ok, what time can i bring it back? We don't know, you can leave the car hear and we will call you, no guarantee we will get to it today. I know there always busy and i wasn't expecting them to jump on my car right away, i just needed to know when they can get to it so i can go back to work. Completely different attitude from when you need new tires. But because its a flat tire, all of a sudden your no value to them. Thank you Bob and Jose, two guys who think they are busier than everyone who have jobs in America. I will never be coming back to a company who don't value there customers. read more
