This is such a fun neighborhood restaurant/bar in Bloomfield. We popped by on a Friday night and they had a Whitley Gin tasting going on which was a fun way to start our night and a live acoustic musician that performed a super fun set. For cocktails, we tried the French 75 and a Gin cocktail that were both really good. The Prosecco on tap was decent and we had a glass of red wine that was very good. The Yellowtail Tuna Tower appetizer was super delicious. You definitely have to try that one and the Firecracker chicken cups were really good too. We tried the scallops over capellini and the corn/sun dried tomato ravioli and enjoyed both of these dishes. This is such a nice neighborhood spot and G is a lovely host.

This place truly deserves more hype. It's the level of fine dining cooking, but casual and reasonably priced. I dropped by and was wonderfully surprised by their menu. It might've changed by now but the food was amazing and original. There's lots of dishes I've never tried before and even classic dishes strawberry cheesecake was beautifully made. Each appetizer and entree did not disappoint and was made with attention to detail. The plattering was also so pretty. Price was very affordable for the quality of the food. Service and ambiance was great as well. The server recommended dishes that really stood out. I also enjoyed their outdoor seating, a great experience in the nice Pittsburgh summer weather. Location is also great with easy parking.

Snagged a reservation day of dining here; however they seemed to have lost it but were very accommodating when I showed up and were able to seat me. Interior seems to be recently renovated and has a modern feel and is cozy. Cocktails are pretty good, they are all classics but done very well, I do love a good corpse reviver. Sadly they were out of a few appetizers and entrees I was really looking forward to, so I ended up ordering the carpaccio and the lamb meatloaf. My wife is historically not a fan of carpaccio, but was very impressed with the one here. I really enjoyed my meatloaf, it was quite flavorful and had a nice seared crust for that delectable crunch. Admittedly I was pretty disappointed with a few of the items not being available despite it only being 730 on a Saturday, but the ones I did order left a good impression on me. I will definitely be back

G's has brought their food stylings to my hood. Extensive wine and cocktail list. Clean, crisp interior. Good service. Tasty food choices. Excellent happy hour!!

We have been meaning to come here for quite some time now. I've heard all good things. On a rare Friday night off my husband and I both decided to walk. We sat at the bar but there were plenty of tables open. Our bartender Cassie was wonderful! She made great suggestions on what to order. Made my husband a yummy "mock tail" as well. We shared the meatball appetizer and tuna appetizers. We shared the shrimp gnocchi. Right away you can tell that the gnocchi was homemade. Light and fluffy ! The portions are generous we were to full to get a dessert. The couple sitting next to us had a dessert that looked so good so hopefully next time. A wonderful experience thanks to Cassie, the hostess at the door and the entire staff.

There's a new chef- lead restaurant to welcome to Pittsburgh! Gs on Liberty is a beautifully updated space. Plenty of tables and a large bar. Very bright an clean feeling. Basement features wine on tap! Menu is full of classics at surprisingly decent prices. I was lucky to try a few dishes at a preview event. The lobster grilled cheese was absolutely delicious & indulgent. The short rib with Cabernet demi glacé was another favorite, so full of flavor. This restaurant is one to check out the menu is huge. The wine list is top notch.

I made reservations for a Thursday evening and glad I did! The place was packed. They were quite busy, so it was a bit of a wait. Nothing unreasonable. Our waiter, Rob, was pleasant and helpful, apologetic for the wait. We get it, no fret! Hubs and I were impressed by the drink menu. The gin options were very comprehensive. I opted for a Manhattan with the Botanist. It was very floral and flavorful. Our appetizer comes. The lamb meatballs are giant! The fried onions makes it a bit messy to navigate, delicious nonetheless. The tabbouleh was heavy on the lemon, so make sure to blend the items. I ordered the shrimp linguine, but they were out of linguine and substituting with bucattini. Some places only offer a few shrimp and that's it, but G's made you feel like you got your money's worth. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. The noodles were cooked al dented and paired well with the plate. Hubs ordered the salmon. It was a nice size portion. He did the chef's recommendation of medium and ate every bite of the fish. The crispy polenta was an interesting component and perhaps a bit too heavy. We enjoyed our experience but found the main dining room a bit louder for our liking. It's very different than Alexander's where we could have a more intimate experience. We'll definitely try again and do the bar area, which had fewer tables.

First, every staff member was great. The venue was welcoming and casual. Food wise...I feel this place was like 1 thing away from perfection in all 3 times. The Asian prepared duck wings had amazing flavor but were very very tough...easy to do if not cooked properly. The fish tacos were phenomenal from the crispy batter to the fresh jalapeño slaw...it just needed an aioli or some sort of sauce for a home run. The best item was the smoked salmon dip. Chips were house made and tasty...somehow tame on the salt despite chips and salmon. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

The bar serves cocktails, wines, beers, and mocktails. For dinner and late-night bites, the restaurant focuses mostly on small plates and shareables, including charcuterie, chicken wings, pizzetta, steak, and salmon. They also have a Sunday brunch that serves lox bagel, shrimp and grits, French toast, mimosa, bloody Mary, etcetera. My husband and I ate one lunch here. The best aspect of The Finch was its beautiful views of downtown Pittsburgh's skyscrapers, Monongahela River, and subway trains. The foods and drink were a mixture of quality, and my husband called them "garbage" (eek!). Here are my ratings for them. Berry Mint Spritz - 4 stars - This mocktail (I could have ordered it with alcohol to turn it into a cocktail) contained strawberries, mint, lemon, syrup, and soda water. All of the flavor had settled on the bottom of the glass, so I could have used a straw to mix the drink, but I did enjoy the flavors. Summer Crab Cakes - 2 stars - I received two crab cakes, and they were some of the worst crab cakes that I have ever received anywhere. They contained too much breading and too little meat. I did not even like the flavor of the cherry tomatoes on the side. I usually love crab cakes, but with these ones, I could take only a couple of bites, and then I had the waitress throw away the rest. Hawaiian Pizzetta - 4 stars - This small pizza consisted of four slices that had cheese but no gooey cheese-pull. Other toppings were BBQ sauce drizzle, pineapple, ham, and red pepper. I thought that it tasted good. Ember Steak Skewers - 4 stars - My husband said that the steak was not the highest quality. At least the chunks of steak, peppers, onions, and mushroom (we counted one piece of mushroom!) were marinated and seasoned nicely. The total cost for this one mocktail, three foods, and one soda was $79 *plus* a 3% credit-card surcharge, tax, and a minimum tip of 18%. We asked the waitress for a receipt, but she did not bring us one, so we walked up to her to ask for it again, and we did receive it.

The cocktails were creative, playful, and impressively strong without sacrificing quality. I had the Seoular Flare, which had a noticeable kick but was still very drinkable. It came with BBQ chips, and when our bartender--the same guy from that morning--noticed how much I loved them, he brought me extra. Such a thoughtful touch. The rest of our drinks were equally inventive and well-crafted. I admittedly had some doubts about whether the creativity would translate into cocktails that actually tasted good, but they completely proved me wrong.
