I have to admit when I placed this order I was excited because of the reviews I have seen. However, when I received the food it was everything but excited and I couldn't believe it. The calamari was $21 and the amount of calamari was about $5 worth. Not only was it a small portion it was soggy and had no flavor. I give it a 1/10 The pizza was good because mushrooms are hard to keep in a good form and they did that. I'll give that 6/10 due to it not having any type of seasoning. The pizza was a bit cold. I ordered the food as soon as they opened so I know they were busy enough to mess up the food. All in all I have to give this place a 2/5 because spending $45 on pizza and calamari for a subpar meal is not acceptable. Will I revisit maybe in person but never again a pickup order. read more

Pizza was very basic, I had the Margherita and it just lacked any exceptional qualities. Low flavor, crust chewy. I also had the focaccia which was extremely salty. The Caesar salad also was not very good. Just lacked any of the traditional anchovies and cheese flavor. Very over-priced for the quality and taste of the dishes. I love this place! 2nd time going there & had another great dinner. You must get the focaccia & have it made as garlic bread. It is pillowy soft with a nice chew & crust on top...drizzled with oil & garlic. We got 2 orders! The Pepperoni Picante is my favorite - it's all the notes...salty pepperoni cups, sweet honey & funk of the gorgonzola...perfection. caesar & insalata zucca were delicious with lovely plating. Margherita & plain pepperoni pies were also great. Crust has a nice char with a good chew to it. I stumbled across this pizza joint through some random article on the internet that talked about recent pizza joints that have opened up in the ATL area, and decided to give it a shot. The location is shared with another restaurant - iL Giallo Osteria and Bar - apparently they are both owned by the same person, and you can sit on either side of the wall and order from either restaurant. We sat in the pizza section - it was very intimate and you can see the pizzas being rolled and thrown into the gas oven. We started off with their garlic focaccia bread and also ordered the margarita and the funghi. I forgot to take pics of the focaccia, but it's easily the best I've ever had. It was rich with flavor, light and decadent with butter. As far as the pizzas are concerned, I think they were Neapolitan style. On both the pizzas, the crust was light, airy and yummy. The red sauce on the margarita was super flavorful, but the funghi was my favorite. I may have found my new favorite pizza place. read more

We visited G's pizza on the side of the il Giallo of Roswell Rd north of the perimeter in Sandy Springs. It was late in the day, people were hungry, and they wanted pizza. We didn't want chain, so we chose G's. It is attached to the Il Giallo restaurant. It was busy. There were no tables available but the manager was absolutely fabulous. We merged two tables for our party of seven at an outside table, got us all set, followed up, made sure we were served more. The whole staff was attentive and wonderful. They saw we were starving and brought out some of their focaccia quickly. Amazing. Delicious. Just what the doctor ordered while we were navigating the menu. We split two salads: a Caesar and the Verde Rosso. Both were fantastic. Especially the roasted beets. We had too many pizzas and I don't recall all the names exactly. Standard Margherita (Making sure picky children have something familiar), a chicken Alfredo pizza, lasagna pizza with short rib, and the Carnissima. Very original and creative, and not a crumb left. So, so very good. I wish I had my phone with me that night to document everything in pictures. I can't say enough about how good the food was, and how well we were treated by everyone. We will be back and I can't wait for date night to take my wife to try out the other side of the restaurant ( Il Giallo) I am sure it will be fabulous! read more

The only Speakeasy Pizza in ATL! This is by far my favorite pizza place in the area. The best thing about G's Pizza is the offer the same high quality ingredients their sister restaurant Il Giallo has on the menu. I've tried their veggie, cheese, and pepperoni pizza and all of them were fantastic. They also offer weekly pizza specials. It's perfect for a quick grab and go meal or a casual bite. It also reheats perfectly. I find so many pizza places burn their crust. This pizza is always cooked to perfection! read more

The pizza is excellent. Neapolitan style with a twist. All three pizzas we ordered were very good. The calamari was neither bad nor good enough to leave an impression. The service was very good too. The only issue we had was that it was super cold in the area they have carved out for the pizza restaurant. Sitting there shivering kind of tarnished the experience. My family and I have ordered pizza from here about a dozen times maybe more. Not the best value especially after they reduced the size of their Pizzas by several inches but the flavor is pretty good for a high end pizzeria. First thing to know here is that after their reduced pizza size, 1 pizza will feed 2 adults but you need multiple pizzas if you have more than that which makes it a less affordable option for families. I hope they go back to their old sizes or maybe offer multiple size options. Flavor- we have tried a number of their pizza offerings and i would give all of them over a 7.5 with a few of their options close to a 10. I highly recomend the Bolognese special, the lasanga and the Carnisma. The garlic foccacia is a must for any gsrlic bread lovers out there. Their Caesar Salad is great, expect a high quality homade dressing (we cut with a bit of squeezed lemon juice), croutons and grated (would be better if shaved) parmesan. Id recomend this based off flavor and quality but until they come up with more family friendly pizza offerings, its more of a splurge than a regular thing. read more

Hubby & I tried this last night and loved it! G's has a separate entrance but actually shares space w Il Giallo. We loved the 'secret corner' vibe which contains fewer than 10 tables, but we were immediately seated 7:30 on a Saturday night. (Maybe it IS a secret...?) We shared the ample & deliciously fresh verde rosso salad, then polished off an entire primavera pizza (6 slices per pie) - excellent crust & cheese. Toppings were very high quality, I appreciated the meaty mushrooms which had been roasted. Service was excellent: the server offered to split the salad on 2 plates & regularly checked on us. Delicious! We wanted to try this based on fellow Yelpers. Easy curbside pickup. Great bite to the crust. Our favorite was the cinque formaggi. Kids liked the pepperoni/bacon/sausage. These guys are doing it right! We had dinner at G's for the first time on Friday. Ari our server was fantastic and the guys in the small pizza kitchen were fun and helpful. Not gonna lie.. I think this is some of the best pizza I've had in ATL. I came here with my boyfriend when they were perfecting their pizza and we got a little taste test. I never thought I would have a pizza in the US as fabulous as the pizza in Rome, Italy in 2009. G's surpassed that! The atmosphere is like a pizza speakeasy (using the term speakeasy from another review). Everyone is super friendly. We had a marinara based pizza and a white pizza - both were amazing. Great high quality pizza to go along with its connected restaurant. Have tried several different types and they're all unique and tasty in their own way. Only small downside is if you dine at the restaurant the pizza and other food orders are not coordinated at they're made in different parts of the restaurant. No issue for take out. read more
