I'm already nervous about buying used cars, and even more nervous because it was too far away for me to look at. I read all these Yelp reviews for his business, and was impressed because he was rated higher than most used car dealerships. And he provided a free CarFax report, so I knew the car's history and was impressed it only had 2 owners over 24 years. I talked to Ata by phone about the car, then hired a mobile mechanic (also found through Yelp) in the Rancho Cordova area, and sent him in to inspect the car. Ata was very accommodating and tolerant of the mechanic's inspection and lengthy test drive, during which I was on the phone with the mechanic and Ata. I ended up buying the car, and Ata recommended a shipping option he's used that even cost less than what I could get through one of the national car transport companies. Ata took care of a small dent in the bumper before shipping the car, he included the 30-day drivetrain warranty noted on the Craigslist ad, handled all of the paperwork, and I ended up with a great car I'm thrilled to own! The man takes pride in the cars he "curates" for his business and is an honest gentleman. Truly a "Top Quality" operation.

I've always worked with actual car dealerships so it was new for me to not be able to set up automated payments every pay day. I was told she didn't want to have to do more work and process multiple payments. Fine I did it there way. No contact since almost a year ago. Now I get a call last Thursday. She said my payment was late and I said I do it automatically through Zelle. For some reason their Zelle is shut down. And I asked ok so what do I do and will it be back up to keep my automated payments up. She oh ya it should be so for this payment just go to Wells Fargo I'll text you the account number and send me a photo of your payment. And it will have no late fee since you didn't know. This morning a different person called me saying I owed a late payment. This company is all over the place. I told her someone called last week she always wants to yell over and I am the type to allow it I said no I'm going to finish. She wants the last word and honestly doesn't ever know what she is talking about. Her name is Deborah and told me she is the only person who works there. I clearly spoke to someone else. Deborah said she messaged everyone about Zelle being down. And I never heard anything until a call last week. No emails were sent no mail addressed to anyone. I actually am talking with the BBB right now which if a payment type is being changed with a a company that company needs to give 30 days notice to be able to charge any late fees to give people the time to find other options. So Deborah even calling me about a late payment today they said is not legal. I don't believe Deborah is the only one to work there. If she is I spoke to Deborah using a different name voice and cadence last week. But I work in the health field and have seen it happen so maybe. But do your self a favor go else where the few times I have had to deal with speaking to this company it's always a horrible experience. Honestly it's time someone investigates what's going on here. Before you buy test drive do a full walk around open the hood. Get the car inspected through an outside mechanic beside theirs. It's better to spend 200 on a inspection vs large money down a car that's a POS so many red flags check engine light was on on test drive the car had high RPMs 4 different set of tires. That's just the beginning of it. It was brushed off oh it been sitting for awhile. Well, how about peace of mind as a good reason? Talk about a BLATANTLY red flag! I should've just walked away then, but this van was (seemingly) perfect for my family. The bad reviews are accurate, not a trustworthy business. I spent several hours reviewing a 2011 white Toyota Sienna Limited (if you happen to be looking at it) and the inspection came back with $3,700 worth of repairs needed. The mechanic was thorough, has great reviews on Yelp, and showed me pictures of everything that needed work, so I know he was legitimate. The suspension alone was going to take 11 hours to repair, and an axle needed to be replaced, among several other necessary repairs. Again, there is no haggling with their pricing, even when there's proof of thousands of dollars worth of repairs needed. Now they're aware it needs almost $4,000 in repairs, but I'm quite sure they won't tell the next unsuspecting buyer, nor lower the price for them.

A friend of mine purchased a Mercedes SUV from this dealership and was charged for a warranty and a $1,500 theft-deterrent/theft-protection product. The contract listed the theft protection as "OPTIONAL," but he says he was told it was mandatory. I later purchased a Mercedes from High Class Motors and had the same experience. I specifically questioned the $1,500 theft-deterrent charge because the contract clearly stated that it was optional. I told the salesman, Hash, that I did not want or need the theft-deterrent product. I was told that it was mandatory and that everyone who purchases a vehicle from them is required to have it. My friend eventually took High Class Motors to court over his dispute. The owner, Dave, appeared at an earlier court hearing and indicated that he wanted two weeks to try to resolve the matter. When the parties returned to court approximately two weeks later, no one from High Class Motors appeared. The court entered a judgment in my friend's favor for approximately $7,800, plus court costs. During the earlier court appearance, I also heard Dave make a statement indicating that they charge customers the $1,500 amount and that it represents profit for the dealership. Based on what I personally experienced and heard, I now have serious concerns about how this fee is being represented to customers. I am currently preparing my own paperwork regarding the $1,500 theft-deterrent charge because I specifically questioned the charge before purchasing my vehicle and was told it was mandatory despite the contract identifying it as optional. I also intend to provide information regarding my experience to the California DMV Investigations Division so the appropriate agency can determine whether the dealership's practices comply with California law. If you purchased a vehicle from High Class Motors and were also charged approximately $1,500 for theft protection or a theft-deterrent product, I recommend reviewing your sales contract carefully--especially any section identifying the product as "optional." You may also want to speak with an attorney or the appropriate state agency regarding your rights and any applicable deadlines.
