I came in to GT Auto because I kept getting things in the mail saying I qualify for the vehicle that I wish to purchase but when I got there I couldn't get the vehicle that I want the person that was handling me his name was Troy Troy told me that I qualify for a vehicle the vehicle was a 2014 Honda Civic I didn't want the car and I didn't want to do the deal Troy insured me that this is a program that he's got going on if follow through with this program you will establish credit the program was to make six payments for 6 months of $355 come back after 6 months and I'll put you in the vehicle that you like. I came back to talk to Troy on the 4th month explain to him that I was getting letters from the bank my principal was up to $785 Troy told me don't worry about paying on the principal. Just make your payments on time for 6 months come back and see me just make your regular payments don't worry about the principal. So am I six payment I came in to talk to a salesman named Tony Tony told me that my credit score is high enough for a 2019 BMW X5 m50i. Tony runs my credit comes back and tell me that I need 4,500 down to make the deal.I asked why he said I still owe on the Honda I told him what Troy said to me he said I'm sorry you was told that but until you come up with $4,500 I can't do nothing for you my total loan $15,800 they added on gap insurance and car theft just to get more money for their deal not happy I recommend going somewhere else for a vehicle these people are bad business. We purchased a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT from a Washington dealership in May 2026. The vehicle was transported and delivered to my Maine home without a temporary registration plate, transit permit, title paperwork, or registration documents. The dealer sent the paperwork to Maine BMV, which received it on June 10, 2026, but it has not yet been processed. I have insurance but cannot legally drive or register the vehicle because I do not have the required paperwork or temporary permit.Dealership has done nothing to help us!!! This dealership will do anything to make a sale. Even allow for someone to sign all documents in the name of a spouse that is not present and tell them its OK. Spouse not aware that the vehicle is in their name until finding paperwork a few months later. Not only was it in 90K vehicle that they could not afford but somehow they got approved. That's a little sketchy as well. Call the dealership to see what they would like to do about the situation. Figured we didn't want to jam anyone up just wanted to bring the vehicle back. After many calls with promises of being called back which never happened finally spoke with a manager that said they would check the cameras and get back to me. Again gave them a week to get through the cameras and call back, but no call. Had to call again and talked to someone who was a little defensive and said how would we have a copy of their ID if they weren't here. FYI not hard to take a copy of your spouses ID. Fast forward to meeting in person, which was a joke. As we know they checked the cameras but of course wouldn't disclose if they actually saw the person. Obviously they did not because 1. If they had they would have had no problem showing or saying that and 2. This person was at work and can provide proof. She said they have a witness that saw them there. And then it turned into multiple witnesses as the conversation went on. And then tried to say a check was sent and had to have been cashed by said person. Schooled her on banking practices with that one. I get they are trying to protect themselves but what happened to doing the right thing. Although there is some amount of blame on the spouses part the dealership should never have told him it was OK to sign and purchase a vehicle in their spouses name with out them being present. We tried to work with them to resolve this but they were not easy to work with at all. I believe once they said to file a police report we would just go away. We will be filling a police report and it will be against the dealership as well as getting an attorney. I have read the laws against this exact situation and know we will be entitled to much more then them just taking the truck back. Absolutely the worst dealership I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. We came in to look at a 2024 Jeep. Didn't expect much and weren't surprised when we were told we didn't qualify for it. We did get told however that we qualified for a 2024 Chevy Malibu. Upon hearing that and taking it for a test drive we were pleased we were shown numbers and after going back and forth a few times we came to an agreement. Upon signing the document that we were told we were approved for we were told all we had to do was get insurance on the vehicle and put the deposit down. As it was already past our daughters bed time we opted to handle it all the next morning. But not before our sales person Kamal had gotten pictures taken and posted to social media but also asked us to leave him a review. At the time we had no problems with that other than having been there for 4 hours at this point. The next morning comes we show up with down payment in hand insure the actual car with the vin at the insistence of Kamal ready to sign pay and leave in our new to us car. If that happened dear reader you wouldn't be reading this lengthy review. We show up get jerked around told they were just waiting on funding and we'd be good to go 4 hours and a missed doctors appointment later they give me another set of hoops to jump through. I confirm with them that if I get this one final thing handled we will be approved and able to pick up the car the following day they answered in the affirmative so I handle what I have to call this time to make sure I'm not coming in to waste another 4 hours of my time to get jerked around again thankfully I did because now I'm no longer approved for the vehicle now I'm approved for 10,000 great what on the lot is under 10k awesome let's get these approvals ready so I can walk in sign and walk out nope unfortunately you aren't approved for any of these vehicles. So now not only has my credit been run 3 separate times by these "car sales people" but my partner has insurance on a car in their lot. They refuse to talk with us to remedy the situation and have said on multiple occasions Yes you're approved only to turn around and back track. We will be reporting to the BBB and the Tacoma DMV and whoever runs this shoddy business will be hearing from our lawyer. Bottom line unless you want to get royally screwed and deal with pushy and poor customer service stay away from this "dealership". Where do I start? I purchased a black 2012 Chevy Captiva LTZ from this dealer. Well, the first lies that the salesman told me was that the transportation from Washington state to southern California would cost about $300 and take 2-3 days. Imagine my surprise when they charged me $1,200 to transport it, and it took 2 weeks to get it. They assured me that it was coming in a covered transport and even went so far as to show a picture of the transport to me. Surprise number 2: NO COVERED TRANSPORT, AND IT GOT HERE AT 1:00 IN THE MORNING. To make matters worse, the transport guy tried to charge me an additional $430, but to their credit, GT Auto set him straight. Surprise number 3: TAMPERED BATTERY. Somehow, the battery was disconnected which made it impossible to get a smog check until we put in a new battery ($250) and put 100 miles on it. The new battery almost doubled the amount of amps being put out, which meant the battery that was in the Captiva was not designed to maximize the car's capabilities. No smog check=no registration; no registration=no plates; no plates=possible pullover. Surprise number 4: Took the Captiva to our mechanic. When GT Auto sells you a car AS IS, THEY MEAN IT! The Captiva needs new rack and pinion, 2 lower control arms because of cracked bushings; and sway bar ends, and a new alignment. Total cost $2200! Ouch. No one came out to help, finally made eye contact with someone who works there, he was in skinny jeans, carrying his coffee with eyebrows that looked better than mine.. he just kept walking and went into the office and didn't look back. James (the sales person) added some liguid and the transmition light went off for a day. I drove back and James was extremly unprofessional, disrectful and rude. he almost threw me out of the lot. Buyer Please Read! Beware. Second time posting review. Convinced and hassled me to write a review same day before even leaving car lot. Very unprofessional and dishonest car dealer. Treated my fiancé poorly and put her in tears, over us having to take car in 2 days in a row because check engine light kept coming on. She had stated she refused to finalize bank with car mechanical issues. Poorly behaved staff and snapped at her. Told me at time of purchase car was serviced and lied to us. They turned off light manually yesterday 12/04/2023 and told us it was just not reset after being serviced, which I know wasn't true because drove the car 5 days prior to check engine light coming on. Came on again today getting ready to head to work. Called dealership and took it to them again. They were very unprofessional and rude about bringing it back to have them fix the issue. TOLD US that a check engine light was okay to come on and would be able to continue to drive car just fine. Lies! Bank was on phone and i let them know what was going on and they advised me to rethink purchase. I asked car dealer to write a promissory letter stating they would resolve car problem and they unprofessionally through tantrum and said they were unwinding deal. Long post, but to sum up: Dishonest, disrespectful, unprofessional treatment of customer and property. Untimely, uncommunicative and extremely unhelpful customer service. Damaged my car and given the opportunity to fix it, they lied to my face and failed to do so. I began my relationship with GT Auto several years ago, after moving to the area, a Groupon discount for an oil change brought me there. I met their outstanding head of the service department, and he absolutely wowed me with his enthusiasm for customer service. I was quite impressed with his passion and professionalism; he won me instantly as a loyal customer. I began happily referring this location to all my friends in the area, recounting the positive and earnest impression he'd left with me. I returned to this shop for several things my car needed done, and I was continually met with familiar and friendly service. Sadly, this employee moved away, and things started to go sharply downhill. At first, it was nothing more than losing the enthusiasm he'd shown me - but my dealings with GT still felt professional, at least. In time, this grew less true - but I consider myself a loyal person, and although I could no longer recommend them for outstanding service, they hadn't lost my business. THAT all came to a spectacular end with my last experience. I called to make an appointment for an oil change, and was told they were booked solid for several weeks. At first I graciously conceded - I could change my own oil easily enough - and I congratulated them on having so much business. However, my car had been giving me a hard time in the cold weather, with an electrical issue preventing it from starting much of the time. I considered calling around to find somewhere else with available appointments to have a look, but I decided I didn't want to take my business elsewhere if I could avoid it. I called back, and booked an appointment a few weeks away. I explained the issue, and I explained that I had narrowed it down to most likely being the instrument cluster or wiring harness, and the woman suggested I leave the car with them overnight, so they could replicate the behavior in the cold morning. When the day came, I left my car with them and waited to hear back the following day. It was fortunate that I made arrangements for transportation, because I didn't hear back from them at all for three days. Evidently she had not relayed what I'd said to the mechanic(s), because it had taken them that long to rule out other things. They had finally determined that it seemed to be the instrument cluster wiring, and they'd be able to send it to Tacoma Speedometer for rewiring / replacement. I consented to the cost, and waited once more to hear from them so I could come pick up my car. Another 3 days passed with no communication, and it was now Monday. I had no way to reach work this day, as I'd be working alone, in downtown Seattle, with hours prohibiting public transportation. I called first thing in the morning, to check in - the receptionist informed me they were "very busy," and took a message, assuring me they'd "call me right back." I waited 45 minutes, and tried again. I got precisely the same treatment. Twice more I waited, called, and got put off similarly. Finally I was forced to call my work and give them a heads up, so that I could be replaced for my shift. After leaving 4 messages throughout the day, and missing work (costing me upwards of $250) I called back and insisted that a message not be taken. I firmly explained that I'd been waiting to hear from them for several days, and none of my calls had been returned. After holding for 10 minutes, I again spoke to the woman with whom I'd booked the appointment and been in contact before. I apologized for my insistence, and she apologetically explained that Tacoma Speedo had taken longer than expected to get back to them. The story now was that they'd be unable to repair or replace the faulty wiring at all, but I could get my car the following day. Believe it or not, I took this news understandingly. It's an older (1998) model, and I'd had some difficulty figuring out the issue myself. What shocked me when I retrieved my car was the fact that my car was filthy! There was shop grime on BOTH of my front seats, staining them black with oil. Ontop of this, the instrument cluster was now LOOSE in my dash! The plastic cover was bent into a curve, catching the sunlight from every possible angle and glaring back at me. I called and made an appointment for them to reinstall it properly, and mentioned the grime on my seats. She apologized, and told me to come in the next morning. 10 minutes later, they sent me on my way -- except now there was a thick grime on my shifter knob, a new grease smudge on the inside of my windshield, AND the instrument cluster was NOT secured, but rather there had been foam jammed into the wide gap to make it less obvious. I am not sure how to start but this is by far the worst dealership my fiance and I have had to deal with. We bought a Mercedes GL diesel and up front was a beautiful vehicle.. Come to find out it needed help, the shop manager assured us it wasn't a huge deal when the vehicle broke down and that they would fix it upon contacting the warranty company (because of course we got fooled by the stoned finance individual who soled us the warranty) Mike who claimed to have his uncertified mechanics fix this issue did absolutely nothing! (Look below and I will attach photos) everything was put together with home screws and zip ties. This place is an absolute joke! I actually stopped in today to cancel my warranty and they had a Tesla in the shop... there not even certified to let alone work on one. These people don't deserve your time. Go ahead and follow there owner and sales personnel on Facebook, you'll see the sweet life while they laugh and joke behind the scenes. I can't even try to explain in detail exactly the situation but I can assure you if you want to buy a vehicle from these so called people to most definitely hire a lawyer first. Let me start off by saying this review is for the SERVICE DEPARTMENT... Not sales. JD is the manager in the service department and he is extremely personable and friendly. Mrs. Karen is the receptionist there, and she's extremely personable and friendly as well. They came highly recommended by my husbands co-worker, who is also a service member. I love that the mechanics are all prior military, so they are super military friendly. They also do a free courtesy PCS inspection. So if you bring your car in before you hit the road, they will make sure you're good to go. As for my experience.... I give them 5 for customer service 5 for professionalism 5 for price But the only gripe I had was timing. I would rate the timing 2 I needed my window switch replaced, a new radio installed, fuel injection service, power steering flush, coolant flush, and brakes. It took about 7 weeks for me to get everything done. I would come in once a week. Part of it was the manufacturer/supplier sent the wrong dash kit, and the one I needed happened to be on back order. So that took like 3-4 weeks to get all sorted out. I rated the timing 2 because it did take a long time for all of my services to be completed. JD gets swamped with work, and I understand he can't keep track of every little thing. In my case, the Windows took a long time because they had to strip down the doors and diagnose what was wrong with my windows. (They weren't rolling down anymore). Then my power locks stopped working and they had to figure out why. Then one of the Windows was tilting forward and not rolling up and it was screeching. My damn Windows..... I did appreciate them checking my brakes and letting me know that they were still good and had lots of life in them. So he didn't sell me brakes when I didn't need them. I just had rocks stuck in my pads that was causing screeching and my brakes not working 100%. They cleaned out my brakes and removed the rocks and they work fine. As for the services, I just had to continuously remind them that certain services needed to get done because they spent all of their time figuring out the problems with my stupid windows. My only advice, is that you need to be clear and concise with what you want. And if you have several services you need, I would spread them out. Overall I do recommend their service department. JD goes above and beyond to make sure his customers are happy, and his prices are amazing. You can't beat his prices. Especially for radio installations. I am in love with mine. Epic customs next door to them quoted me $633 for a single-din faceplate radio that was going to go in the cubby hole under the existing radio. It wasn't even going to be mounted in the dash I paid a fraction of that with JD and my radio came out beautifully. So thank you JD and the service team!! read more

We bought our truck from Gt almost 1 year ago. The staff was friendly as most sales people are. Make sure to inspect all of the fine details and ask many questions prior to your purchase. They only disclose what you ask about. Many areas were freshly touched up and not noticeable until the truck was washed, exposing discoloration and chrome parts coated in a thick black coating. There was damage to the roof and the rear window didn't open. The driver side heated seat didn't work. We love our truck but would have appreciated the honesty more, especially for the price we paid. Bought a car way overpriced, dealer was very pushy. Was unable to complete the deal so brought the car back after 6 days they charged a restock fee of 500 dollars and mileage!!! I get the mileage but this restock fee????? They charged nearly a thousand dollars after six days to return the car and we only had to return it because a family member became seriously ill and we couldn't afford the car. Ohhh.... Where to start.. So I came to this dealership after inquiring about a truck they had for sale. It looked nice from the pictures, so I figured I'd check it out. I wasn't really ready to commit to anything yet, just wanted to search around for some good deals. Upon arrival they did their usual greetings and we jumped straight into the details about the truck. Now, keep in mind, the ad they had up for the truck was $15,777, and after we ironed out the details they came back with $16,800 for the truck. At the time when I was talking to them about pricing I had forgotten what they listed it for, so its partially my fault for missing that. But they did take advantage of me instead of having integrity and giving it to me at the listed price, which is why I'm only giving 3 stars. So... moving forward, I got a conditional offer on an auto loan for the truck and from there they wanted me to sign off on the truck. But before signing my life away I wanted to test drive it myself, but there was a problem.... I only had liability coverage on my insurance, so they wouldn't let me test drive it. So I rode in the passenger seat while the sales rep drove the truck. On the back roads going low speeds it seemed to ride decent. So I went against my gut instinct (which told me not to sign the papers) and signed on the dotted line. Now luckily, I'm a mechanic in the Army so I know what to look for and how to test a vehicle for issues. Since my auto loan was conditional I still technically didn't own the vehicle since I hadn't paid for it yet. I finally got it on the highway and thats when I realized this was a bad deal. I knew the transmission was having some issues because every time I gassed it the truck would start shaking and struggling to gain speed at 55+ and the automatic shifting was sluggish. Don't get me wrong, the engine in that thing was damn nice, but the tranny would have been an expensive fix. The next day my conditional offer on the loan was denied because I didn't have enough pay stubs from my new job to prove my income. So I definitely dodged a bullet on that one. Now, the reason I'm giving them 3 stars is because of how they worked with me through the whole transaction. Mark is the one I worked with in sales and he was fairly understanding of the situation. They could have charged me out the ass for the miles I put on the truck and the $500 re-stocking fee on top of that. But they waived the fees and I signed the truck back over to them with no strings attached. Moral of the story is, if you decide to buy a used vehicle from any dealer, be sure you know what to look for or bring someone who has mechanical experience to ensure the vehicle is in good condition before you sign any papers. On that note, Mark in Sales was pleasant to work with and very understanding, if you do decide to purchase from this dealer I recommend working with him. read more
