Once again, another family member buys a car from NW Autoloan, thanks for helping my family and friends out AJ

I bought a car August 1st, 2018 from AJ and Eli over at Northwest Autoloan. Great all around experience at first, they financed me had me in a car that they said had just been serviced and even had the oil changed for me that day across the street. (Pretty cool, right!?) That was the end of the good, once the car left the lot all professionalism or even common courtesy left with it. To make a long story short(and so it will fit into this review) here we go: On August 7th 6 days after buying the car I was driving down the highway and the car seems a little funny so I was going to pull off at the next exit. As I get off the whole car turns off and I luckily coast into a parking lot. I do a quick check under the hood and determine that I will not be able to drive it home. I have it towed home around 3 in the morning. The next morning August 8th I call AJ, the owner and he tells me he will call back around 1230. (This is the last he answered or took my calls) No call or call back. I would receive scattered texts and promises to call but no real solution or faith that one would be reached. I had the car towed to the local Goodyear and they said it is hydro locked and needs a new engine (this can't happen in the six days I have driven the car). I checked the oil and all fluids daily(again only had the car 6 days) because it was a used 2003. I also placed cardboard under it when parked at home to see if there where any leaks. There was some leaks, but nothing that indicated a catastrophic loss like this! And now today August 16, 2018 over a week since the car broke down and only 2 weeks after I bought the car he finally decides to call me(only after changing my review on Facebook and calling everyday for over a week). He tells me that he calls me on "his time and his schedule". No sense of urgency or care. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE!! read more

A lot of the reviews comment on the friendliness and helpfulness of the owner and staff and that I can agree on 100%. Their goal is to get you a car you want and they will absolutely go out of their way to do that. Unfortunately , you might come to regret your purchase. Mostly because of how willingly they are to work with folks with little to no chance of getting a car under regular circumstances plus how great their customer service is my husband and I have purchased a total of 4 vehicles from this business. Within 3 months I have already spent a few hundred on repairs with possibly thousands to go before it's completely fixed for my most recent purchase. My husband has also spent over a hundred on his car purchased at the same time. (it would be more if we had taken his car to a body shop rather than a friend. My car the second time it broke down was worked on by a certified mechanic but hasn't been taken to a shop yet) I'm currently the proud owner of a bad ass $300 a month paperweight because since a majority of my driving is done with my children in the car I'm terrified to drive it because of the fear of breaking down with them I'm the car. Last year I purchased a vehicle that I had to replace to battery ($300 since it was a Prius) within a few months of owning. The first vehicle were purchased worked for about six months but then we had to jiggle wiggles to start it and even that was no guarantee that it would. The common factor in all of these scenarios is that the problems were subtle at first and didn't fully manifest until later which is why I don't think that these guys are being malicious and "trying to pull a fast one" on anybody. They really do care about people. However, that doesn't sit well as you're sitting in the dark, in a not great area, for 3 hours waiting for a tow, and when the tow truck shows up he sees your dealer plates (I hadn't even gotten my official plates yet the first time my car broke down) and tells you he tows cars sold from there all the time. If you're looking for a project car or want a secondary vehicle but already have a dependable primary car then check these guys out but if you need something reliable you should probably go somewhere else. read more

We were unfortunately in an accident that totaled our car. Came to NW Autoloans and bought an 03 Subaru Legacy. AJ was super accommodating and even fixed a few problems we brought to him that we were concerned about when buying the car (O2 sensor and front tires). He got them fixed for us free of charge! I called to ask for the availability of a car and was told in a rush that everything was good and perfect. I asked for if there was any documentation of history of inspections or carfax available of the car on hand and was told that I would be charged $60 for a carfax and left on hold without warning. An early red flag if you will... Thank you for saving me the time and effort! read more

**************BEWARE***********BEWARE***********BEWARE********** I was sold a vehicle with a clicking sound which I raised concerns about. So, I was sold a warranty. The warranty did NOT cover the transmission where the sound was coming from, although I was assured it was. Northwest Autoloan did NOT keep their word! So I spent over $2000, plus mechanic fees on a vehicle I couldn't even drive. I am disabled and having transportation is essential. I bought the car October 2018 and NEVER received the title, so I can't even get rid of it. Not only did I have to spend money I didn't have, but it's costing me $25/day to have it parked. To say I'm pissed is a huge understatement! Once I found out the warranty wasn't covering my problem, I was no longer able to speak to the gentleman that sold me the vehicle or the gentleman that sold me the warranty. Instead, I dealt with the owner who was very aggressive and a bully. He stopped taking my calls and has ignored my messages regarding the title. I have the paperwork stating I purchased the vehicle, this concerns me. I will continue to fight, and spread the word of how this dealership treats people. read more

This is a great small, family owned auto lot. They have a nice range and selection, and the owner is so down to earth. He was up front and honest, willing to work with us. I like "what you see is what you get" and that is Northwest Auto Loan. The cars are all inspected and maintained, and if something needs to be fixed they will fix it - such as the brakes, etc. Come see Adrian if you need a solid car with no credit. He's from Dallas like me, so he'll treat you right. read more

Pros: Eli was super nice, even gave my daughter some cookies while we were waiting. They made the process easy (we were cash buyers). Cons: They sold us an MDX with thousands of dollars worth of issues, some of which they promised to fix and didn't. It had a check engine light when we did the test drive, they promised to have it fixed. When we went to pick up the car, no check engine light, but it popped up again 10 miles down the road. Our mechanic said that all they did was replace the spark plugs, but their mechanic didn't tighten them down, and so when they cleaned the engine water got in the pistons, costing us a couple grand. Eli did send us a check for about $400 when he wasn't legally required to do anything, but we're 6 months into owning this car and the check engine light is still on. So, our bad for not having it independently inspected, but we're highly disappointed and won't be back. read more

This rating is a bit delayed as I was just wanting to put the whole experience behind us, but we recently discovered another nail in the coffin, so decided we'd write the review after all. My daughter went to this place to buy her first car. She's a young girl trying to be an adult and doing things on her own and these people took complete advantage of that. Without going into full detail, the main points are first off they "sold" her the car having her sign the contract without guaranteed financing. A week later (apparently since she had no credit it took some time) when she finally heard back from the financing facility she was denied. We went back to return the car fully intending to at least pay a rental fee for having the car for the week, and the owner AJ was a complete ass to be blunt. I was there with her approximately 2 hours explaining the situation, trying to resolve the transaction fairly. AJ and his in-house financing person, whose name I don't recall, tried playing this good cop, bad cop routine, and AJ actually yelled at me at one point. In the end, even though there was an out in the contract if AJ would've agreed to it, they instead refused and tried to force their in-house financing on her, which has a ridiculous interest rate. We ended up buying the car outright for her rather than dealing with their shady practices any more. On top of this, several days after having the car the battery died. She bought a Prius and those batteries can be a bit pricey. AJ agreed to get her a new battery at no extra cost, which we thought OK maybe he's redeeming himself a little after everything. Nope. After having the car now less than a year the battery died. Took it in and found out he didn't put in a new battery like she was told. It was refurbished. Bottom line, he could have been a decent person, let her out of the contract at that time, which he had complete control to do. It was in writing in the contract. We could have paid a rental fee for the week she had the car. She could've taken some time to get some financing and then go back and buy a car properly and had a great experience. Instead, they saw a young girl they could take advantage of. We would never go back here to buy a car nor recommend to anyone. In fact, I'd say take your money and run! read more

I came in on a whim, had been looking for a car for some time....I was approved for a brand new car, but I just didnt want the payments so high, and for so long, so I came across a few cars I liked with NW auto, and working with Eli (spelling) and AJ was very rewarding and they are such wonderful gentlemen. Approved really fast, they made sure the car was fixed and ready to go, including a full tank of gas! They are very well worth to check out if youre in need of a great quality car, at the right price, and no hassle. The owner of this dealership has screwed us out of money and also sold warranties, and then refused to fix the cars. They have been in litigation because of this before, and are still doing it. I give them two thumbs down; four thumbs down if you count my big toes. Buyers Beware!!!!! read more

If I can give them no star I really would. The experience I got as a first time buyer was horrible and I highly do not recommend this place to no one! They put me in a car I was not approve of but under the impression that I was approve. So when it comes back to having to return the car back. They sold my car that I bought & lost my title and gave me no license plate . For a whole 5 months I have been riding around with no plates because they lost ALL of my paperwork and kept giving me the run around about looking for it "high and low" & AJ himself is so unprofessional I don't even know how this business is still running with him in charge! ****THIS PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE IN DISGUISE!!**** The WORST experience ever! These guys are nothing but CON ARTISTS AND SCAMMERS! If I could give a worse review I would! They don't even deserve the 1 star I'm forced to give them! They will lie from start to finish. *I was told the vehicle had a new transmission the DEALERAHIP OWNER said he had replaced himself, including specific price he paid for parts and labor. The transmission has never been replaced, we only found out once papers had been signed and we realized the transmission warranty wasn't included with any of the paperwork. When we asked about receiving a copy for our records, Adrian (AJ), the owner and salesman, said he never told us anything about that specific service. *I was told I would get a 2 year/50,000 mile warrenty. It wasn't until signing, that I was informed they couldn't offer this warranty because the car I was purchasing had to many miles on it. However they assured me I was getting a better deal. They would give me a 2 year/24,000 mile warranty but I would receive the EXTENDED warranty. I was PROMISED less miles but better coverage. When the warranty contract was printed they printed a copy with the limited powertrain, when I pointed the error out both to the salesman and the owner, they both tried to talk their way out of what they had already promised. Typical salesmen. But they signed off on the extended coverage. However the following week when looking up warranty coverage online I found out I only have LIMITED POWERTRAIN. *Part of the condition to me purchasing the vehicle was the "2 years of free oil changes". When I asked for my documentation for the oil changes I was given a hand written business card that said "3 oil changes - AJ". First of all, 3 oil changes does NOT equal even 1 year of oil changes. Secondly, I was told 2 YEARS. Once again the owner fought and argued about this and said I was only getting 1 year, because he couldn't insure the financial situation he would be in 2 years down the line. Meaning if he goes out of business, how can he continue to hold up his end of the agreed 2 years of oil changes. I was told the vehicle just had an oil change done, so that was 1. Also that the 'average driver' only drives about 12,000-15,000 miles a year. So I would only need to do 3 more for the remainer of the year. It wasn't until continually calling the dealership that they finally text a picture of a document stating 5 full synthetic oil changes at the shop across the street from his dealership. *Adrian Johnson is the most unprofessional person I have ever had the unfortune of having to deal with. After our papers were signed a switch was flipped, he became rude, loud and vulgar. Whenever we called to ask questions about our car and coverage, or lack there of, and he yelled and screamed about how he gave us a great rate for a trade in on a piece of S**t, how my car wasn't worth $100, that we could bring the car we had purchased back and take f***ing car back. He hung up on us repeatedly. For somebody who continually claimes he doesn't want any drama, he sure does start a lot of it! I can not warn you enough! Stay away from this dealership!!!! There are so many other BETTER places to go all up and down So Tacoma Way. Spare yourself the headache and problems and don't even waste your time here! read more

He was difficult and rude from start to finish and I am very frustrated with how he was handled our interactions. These people don't even deserve 1 star. They will lie, cheat and deceive in order to suck your hard earned money out of your pockets. Not to mention that their cars are junk. Nice looking maybe but better keep your wallet open for costly repairs soon after your purchase. The one we "purchased" didn't even make it home the day we bought it. (15 min drive) They are pretty nice about everything until you sign paperwork. After that, if you call them out on their BS and are unwilling to just hand them money without questions asked, they'll show their true colors. If you're lucky, they'll answer the phone, but only to verbally insult you and hang up on you. They get rude, vulgar and even threatened with physical violence. They never fixed our car! (it wasn't drivable) Even when we got to the point where we were willing to pay for all of it, just to finally get our vehicle. Needless to say, after a few weeks of going back and forth about the repairs that needed to be done on their end, we cut our losses (down payment included) and walked away. Their conduct is extremely unprofessional and borders on criminal. (In my case) It does not surprise me that they have several lawsuits against them and if I had extra cash to go around, I'd file one myself. I'm for sure getting the BBB involved and discourage anyone to shop for a car on their lot. Find a more legit, friendlier and more professional place... plenty of them out there. read more

I am a widow with a handicapped daughter, an had my left leg amputated in January. My old car died, so I went looking online. I went to let go.com thinking I would be dealing with people not car dealers. I don't have much because I am still fighting VA for my husbands disability. So I found a Chrysler Sebring for 600. I texted him Adrian, so when I asked to see it, needing an address, then I was told his a car dealship. I explain I have cash. He tells me to come down an try it. I toke my so in law with. It wasn't even a cry Sebring, its a ode stratus. It needed to much work, that I could not afford. So Audrain said look I have this Xfinity for 1000. And told us .f I liked it I could the 600. The 200. In December, then 200 in January. No interest, and would include 5 star nspection,oil change and if it needed brakes an tires it would do that also for free. We drove it an checked it out. So I thought I had found the sweetest person. So he told me to come back the next day at around 2pm an pick it up. I comeback about 2pm.He isn't their, so other man, I tell him who I am an I was there to pick up the car. First words out of this mans mouth was have you filed out a credit app. I said I am paying cash. And told him the deal Audrain made with me. Then the bomb it. There was no mention of anything from the knight before. So he said he was calling Mr.AJ to clear this up, I my daughter an grandson wait 2 hours, then me trying to make things go smoother ask how much more it would be my 600. Cash an 4 months at 213.per month.then I almost was going to sign then at about 4pm, Mr A.J. shows up.to make this long story end he made it sound as if I was a liar. So I asked for my 600. Back. He did give it back then turned his head and said nothing else and acted like we weren't there. Naturally I started to cry and told my family lets go.
