From start to finish, GTL folks were professional, organized, friendly, and trustworthy. I'd give them 6 six stars if I could. We had our kitchen painted: cabinets inside and out, walls, and ceiling. The painters, Rojelio and Steven, showed up on time each day and were courteous and as unobtrusive as possible. They were extremely well organized and left the house tidy at the end of each day. When a difficulty arose, which it invariably does on any household repair, they handled it calmly and assured us that they would not leave us hanging--they kept their word. Our cabinet doors, nearly as old as our 1936 home, would not close after having been painted because of the many layers of paint. Tommy sent a carpenter who shaved the doors and then the painters finished their work. I should mention as well Alicia, who runs the office: she kept in touch with us consistently, had someone drop by our house to pick up our custom paint colors (!!), and offered us an earlier slot when one of their jobs changed schedules. We recently contracted them for a cabinet painting job as well as exterior painting, and everything from the estimate process through job completion was seamless. Tommy came out for our estimate and was super knowledgeable and helpful, explaining every aspect of the job in detail. He even provided some advice on other projects we had going on in the house, which we ended up taking and couldn't be more grateful! Alicia was a rock star to work with. She took our needs into consideration, answered every question and stayed in constant contact. Great Job--GTL Construction Remodeled our whole house, Contracted GTL to paint the interior of the house, that was the beginning. We were getting bids for new floors, granite kitchen countertops and looking for a contractor to reconstruct my island counter, I asked Tommy if he knew anyone, it grew from there. So I changed my search and gave everything to GTL...Not disappointed. GTL Construction is a general contractor, Tommy and Alicia recommended several subs to do the flooring, granite countertops, tile, electrical, glass window, and appliance installs, while he and his crew, prepped, painted, carpentry, crown molding, baseboard touch up and converting a stucco column to load-bearing posts so we had a better view of the golf course, check out the picture of the window. I have written this review last year after GTL construction installed crown moulding and painted a portion of our house but I have to rewrite it completely. Initially, I was satisfied with the quality of work, the very polite and professional crew and the very prompt response from the customer service. But it was short lived as after a month I have noticed unsightly gaps on the crown moulding. Contacted them right away and was able to "fix it" after several weeks due to scheduling and my availability as well. What is frustrating is the fact that the same gaps re appeared that I have to schedule another appointment to fix it. For me it is not at all acceptable. GTL constructions may be willing and prompt resolving the issue but to deal with the same issue the second time around-then we have to question the quality of materials used and the craftsmanship as well. I am not sure if I will be using theirs services again. read more

This is a great construction company! They are prompt on delivery of services, fair and upfront in pricing, and have amazing customer service. It was a pleasure working with Tommy and Alicia, Brian, and the paint crew. We opted for crown moulding in our boxey new build - in the living spaces and master bed and bath. We also got custom window casing and door casing and installed a gorgeous new front door through GTL. These additions turned our box into a home. I write honest reviews...good and bad. Your business owner needs to provide good customer service and respect the health and opinions of others, even if he doesn't care about himself. And he should never make a political comment or inference with any customer. He has no idea what my political views are. He implied that he's a Trump supporter when he made the comment about not watching CNN and when he showed up without a mask (and it was clear that that was his normal practice...to not wear one). And he ASSumed that in a democrat because I was watching CNN, which I'm not. Customer service is lacking and arrogance is very high. Initial Visit: Tommy (owner) made the initial visit to our home. We found him to be EXTREMELY helpful. - We knew what we wanted but we were not clear how to go about making it happen, or even explaining. *Tommy listened careful, and was able to understand our vision right away. - (Listening to the customer is VITAL.) Tommy was able to catch our thoughts and make them into reality. He also had very helpful thoughts/ ideas that he brought into the conversation. *He Truly has a designer's eye. Construction: It was a two (2) day project. Workers arrived on time. Very Respectful on my property, and that of our neighbor's. Non-Smokers. They were very careful not to damage any of the items within our home, and in our yards. * Aaron put up the crown molding. Wonderfully done. Inter and Outer Corner cuts were PERFECTLY done. Looks AMAZING. So Extremely Pleased. A very talented carpenter. * Omar did the painting. He is quick and very precise. Cleaned up after himself. * Julio was Omar's assistant, and he did the caulking. Both worked well together. * They work extremely respectful within our home. Even to the point of closing the doors carefully so not to make any noise when they would need to go in and out of the house. It's been a couple of years since we used GTL and I am glad to say that they've not changed a bit. We had the majority of the inside of our house painted and we could not be more happy. The painters, Stephen and Alan were excellent. They were always on time, easy to talk to and (above all) very neat. The quality of their work is exceptional. I highly recommend GTL Construction for interior painting. They recently painted the entire interior of my home and did a stellar job. Everything went smoothly from the start. Making an appointment was easy and Courtney was able to get Tommy out pretty quickly.  Tommy showed up for our appointment right on time. He was very nice and you could tell that he was very passionate about what he does. He answered all of my questions and he offered a lot of good suggestions. He wasn't the cheapest but he wasn't the most expensive either. I felt like the price was very reasonable considering the quality paint job that I received.  Everything was painted with TWO coats of paint and they used the best quality paint that the store had to offer.  I was pretty adamant that I DID NOT want my house sprayed because  I wanted to be able to do future touchups (I have kids). Tommy told me that brush and roll method is all that GTL offers when painting interior walls.  They do not do the quick spray jobs because  they really pride themselves on being a premium paint company.  That was exactly what I was looking for.  Omar and Julio were my painters. They did a great job. They were neat, clean, and very detail oriented.  They truly were nice guys.  GTL Construction did a great job. The prices were very fair and the work was excellent. Their work is top notch. I really appreciated their eye for detail and their quality work. I will definitely be calling them to paint the exterior of my home this summer! read more

Got 3 quotes for a project a little while back. $13k, $15k and $27k. GTL is so expensive, it's shocking. I had them quote me for another (smaller) project 2 years ago. Same problem. In February '17, we contacted GTL Construction to submit an interior paint bid on our home. In addition to GTL, four other contractors submitted bids. After a couple weeks, one deal after another fell through, and we felt like abandoning the project. Then Alicia followed up on their GTL bid. Within a couple days, we had a deal worked out; because it was off-season, she gave us an excellent price and made every effort to work within our budget. After we signed the contract, she sent us a personal thank you note, and I thought that was a nice touch. Before work began, we had some minor details to work out. Whenever I had a question, she got back to me immediately and alleviated any concerns we had. Communication was great throughout the entire process. GTL sent Sam and Steve out to do the painting. This job took nearly a week, and they made every effort to work around our schedules to make sure we were comfortable. Here and there, we had a few minor requests not necessarily covered in the contract, and Sam took care of it without any issues or charging additional fees. They were both very polite, professional and do incredible work. Thanks to GTL Construction, our home looks amazing. We're grateful that Alicia followed up with us and agreed to do the job. If I could give this company 10 stars, I would. From the very beginning, they always kept their promises with regard to bids, timing, work performed and addressing any concerns or questions we had. It is rare to find a construction company who does what they say they will and uses the utmost care. The work was exceptional. We had two doors to install and the installation was not easy due to the age and construction of the house. They also painted and finished interior/exterior trim to complete the job. We were moving from the Bay Area to Roseville and needed the interior of our new home painted including doors, baseboards and all of the kitchen cabinets and island. GTL has been my home beautifier for more than 10 for years on rentals as well as my personal residences. When I moved out of the area I encountered far too many contractors who offered little more than a smooth talking estimator to get the contract followed by the worst service ever, They have a very nice team, don't skimp and use cheap paint, have a nice way of telling us that the shade we think that we wanted is going to look terrible on our house (and they were right!) My only complaint now is that they seem to be really busy so plan ahead. Makes me happy to see a nice young couple do well. read more

GTL Construction did a fine job working on a home I just moved into. I hired them to install a door between the MBR and the MBath (oddly, the house didn't have one!), to paint all the baseboards, and to re-texturize and paint several walls that were damaged because they'd had mirrors and fixtures installed on them that were removed. This meant old paint had to be matched, and texturizing feathered out to blend well. Their work was careful and thoughtful. They gave me advice that resulted in a finished product that looks great. Alicia and Tommy are a pleasure to work with: accessible, flexible, warm and friendly. They easily worked around several changes to the mission, as I changed my mind about exactly what I wanted to do to this house. The men who did the work were on time and careful with my house. We hired GTL to restain the outside of our cape cod style, shake house and to repaint the trim and back porch. We saw them staining a very similar home in our neighborhood (Arden Park in Sac), so we asked for a bid and we also spoke to the owners of the house we saw them painting and they gave GTL a great recommendation. I am so glad I chose GTL Construction for my interior painting job! We recently moved and needed crown molding and complete interior painting. I had been told that GTL were the experts in crown molding installation so gave them a call. They also gave me a bid on the painting. The day before moving in, I realized that 3 bedrooms did not have ceiling lights or fans. I called them and they sent out electricians the next day to install the ceiling fans before the mover's showed up. It turned out I also need exterior barge rafter repair and a new side garage door, damaged by the sun. As they are a one-stop shop, I had it all done by GTL. My crown molding is perfect. They hand rolled two coats in every room. Every employee went the extra mile for me along the way and were a pleasure to work with. Weeks after they were done, I had my shower retiled, and the paint was scratched in several places. They came out and did the touch up at no charge.
