Very generous portions for lunch! We ended up enjoying some of the meal in the restaurant and then being able to make two more meals from it at home. Lots of fresh options to combine to make the bowls filling and delicious. We had two young children with us and we asked if they could make a simple quesadilla for them. My wife and I ordered two bowls. Both meats and rice were barely luke warm. My son whom shared with my wife both ended up puking and pooping the rest of the evening into this morning. We Called to express our issues today and owner insisted that it was not possible for any of the food to be cold. Great food, cheap prices, large portions - 5 stars! As of this writing, Guac N' Roll is a new restaurant that's only a few months old. What a great place! This isn't a fancy restaurant. It's fast food style, including a drive-through window. The best way I can explain it is: It's similar to a Chipotle except it's a small family business owned & operated by a husband & wife team. Of course, there are no Chipotle franchise fees either so the prices are very reasonable. And if you eat here, you're directly supporting a local family. There are tons of flavor options with a cornucopia of meats and salsas and other ingredients. You can order burritos that are almost the size of your head for less than 10 bucks. (And that says a lot because I have a giant Scottish head!) You might want to consider the "bowl" version because it isn't as messy. My giant burrito tasted great and it was definitely filling. Last but not least, the customer service was excellent. Our order was taken and dished up by the husband part of the team. He was super friendly and informative. But I'm pretty sure I saw his mom and his son in back, hustling and taking care of business. Guac N' Roll is a nice addition to the New Richmond community food scene. This nondescript storefront in an even more nondescript strip mall has the best Mexican food I've had in a long time. And it's cheap! The place is spotless and it seems that they are always cleaning it. The immigrant family that runs the place works at the speed of sound with huge smiles all the time. The staff is great. They're kind and attentive. What keeps me from wanting to go back is the heavy use of sanitizer. Working in restaurants, you can identify the smells and know what commercial cleaners are being used. It smells like they don't dilute it properly and it's likely in the food because if you don't completely dry hotel pans before putting food in the sanitizer mixes in the food. I've seen it happen in places like chipotle-which this restaurant is modeled after. Can't say for sure it's gotten in the food or that they don't dry their dishes well it's just a speculation from a sensitive person. Also, I've never heard music playing there before it's either been silent or the television is on. The quality of the base ingredients could be of better quality also. Everything tastes pretty good when it's all together but this place could really use some fine tuning and attention to quality food and it would take it from alright to spectacular. read more
