We were curious about dining here, and on our way back from getting our taxes done we decided to stop by, and was pleasantly impressed by a dining area that was large but very clean and inviting. Greeted and sat quickly, and had a very courteous server. The chips and salsa were warm with great flavor with medium spice. The fiesta combo was everything you could expect, and the price was great, it came with two plates tamales, enchilada, beans and rice all held there own and that was the first plate, the second had the taco, tostada, and chalupa talk about bang for the buck. The Tilapia was grilled very well, tender and fresh flavor. Will definitely be back. Do try the strawberry soda. read more

I was staying at the Hampton Inn just across the highway from this highly rated Mexican restaurant so I figured I would give it a try. You certainly can't beat the location if staying there. It was late on a Sunday and the place was pretty empty, but there were quite a few Latinos eating which I took as a good sign. The host was very kind and got me seated quickly. Waitress was very nice. I went with the tacos al pastor, which I have had many times before in other restaurants and Mexico itself. These were very good, way better than I was expecting. Otherwise all I had was chips, salsa and a nice cold Pacifico. What can I say, meal was great. My only critique would be that they had some interesting fish dishes on the menu, including a whole fish. I would maybe have gotten that, but all the fish is stated to be tilapia. Now, come on, this fish species is to seafood what Velveeta is to cheese. This is New Iberia, LA, blessed with some of (if not the) the best fisheries in the country, and tilapia is on the menu? Missed opportunity in my opinion. Regardless, what I had was solid, so please go check them out if you are in the area and craving Mexican. read more

Came with a group of 11, and all give a give big . Good food, service and price. We will be back the next time we are in town.

Not a bad lunch but they could be a lot better. They don't make their own tortillas and it would make a big difference. On the huevos rancheros the eggs were over cooked for our taste but everything else wasn't bad could have used a bit more spice. The fajitas were ok but they definitely didn't come out sizzling but shrimp were tender steak and chicken was flavorful. We ordered from the lunch menu but they tried charging us regular menu prices. But the servers were cordial and fixed the problem. May go back and try something else but there is room for improvement. read more

My daughter and my grand daughter got sick from eating at this place BOTH times that they went.

Went a few weeks ago. Most of the order was messed up and they did not want to take it back. Gave them a second chance today messed up on the order and when I called to let them know, she said it was my fault because I didn't specify. The food is ok but not good customer service. I wanted to give this place a try because I like Mexican food. I saw reviews and wanted to try it because people said it was good. They were WRONG and I wasted my money. The chips and salsa were the only good things I had. I ordered the steak nachos($13.00) and the chicken fajitas($15.99). The steak was hard and bland. The fajitas had some seasoning sprinkled on top of it but it did not make the chicken taste better. it was bland too. The guacamole had a runny, watery consistency to it that I have never seen before at other restaurants. If it was not hard enough for me to finish my meal, the ants that decided to have a party on my table and my plate sealed the deal for me to get out of there. I showed the waiter the ants and we were trying to find where they were coming from but didn't see anymore. They made a little joke about it but I wasn't laughing. I asked for my check and paid. They did not even offer to adjust my ticket. I will never go there again. I did notice that the people who give it good stars are from out of state. The people who actually live here told me(after the fact) that the food is not good. If you are from out of state and are desperate for Mexican food and don't care how it tastes then go for it. If you actually like GOOD food, avoid this place at all costs! read more

Unbelievable Mexican! By far the best in town and an amazing change from the former business located here. Great service and the food was fresh, flavorful, and covered in magical cheese sauce. If I was a death row inmate in New Iberia, this would be my final meal. I never leave reviews but this place deserves it. Well done! read more
