3 Red Tacos + Consome
Kim T.

Loved this place so much that we visited two days in a row. The restaurant is located in a small plaza with a parking lot. The first time we came around lunch and the second time we came around dinner. Be prepared to wait a bit for you food at dinnertime because it can get busy but it's totally worth it. There are a few seats inside, self serve salsa bar, and a sink to wash your hands. We tried the street tacos, red tacos, and red quesadilla. I highly recommend the red tacos and red quesadilla! It was sooo good. The portions are huge! The food is more on the expensive side but I would say worth it for the portions you get. The birria and lengua were my favorite meats. My boyfriend said the asada and al pastor were just okay.

I really don't like burritos that are all mixed with rice and beans and onions, but for the first time in EVER, this carnitas burrito was perfect in every way. not greasy. fatty. mushy with the rice and beans. I had another after this and another.

This place is in a strip mall so it's pretty easy to find parking. They have an extensive menu, many different types of tacos and meat options. They also have red and green salsa which you can scoop yourself into portion control containers. The tacos typically come with some onions and lime on the side and also radish slices. The food was very tasty and I enjoyed it very much. The server was friendly and we got our food quickly. The interior is brightly lit, and there are only a handful of tables. I got the impression a lot of people were doing takeout.

I ordered the food online two hours ago with a specific pickup time of 12:10pm. When I arrived, the food hadn't even started being prepared. Why have an online system if it's not going to be ready in advance? This is very disappointing, as it was for a customer meeting, and now I have to wait.

The food was real good. I had the red tacos with the dip (consome) which was excellent. Friendly service. They got a reward program so I'm coming back to try the birria ramen and nachos. Easy parking, right off the 210 freeway

I love a good taco restaurant and Guanatos tacos has excellent food. I tried the Red Quesadillas and my buddy tried the regular quesadillas ( both have birria). I have to say they were both outstanding, however, the nod goes to the "Red ". The Red sauce just adds so much more flavor. They give you big portions and you will leave very full. There are many choices on the menu and drinks. The staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations. The seating area is limited, so get there early before the lunch crowd. This place fills up and so does the Parking. It's in a strip mall with other businesses, so first come first served. The food is great, but a little pricy ( the reason for the 4 stars and not 5). I will definitely be back, maybe on Taco Tuesday.

Came here for Taco Tuesday and I have to say, I was satisfied. We ordered al pastor, chorizo and chicken. Both the Al pastor and chicken were tender and flavorful. My favorite though was the chorizo. It was delicious and not overly greasy. For it being taco Tuesday, they sure don't skimp on their meat portions. We ordered beans also and that was delicious. I can't wait to try their other items.

This place is pricey but has tasty food. With over 10 meat options available for a variety of food items, birria is their specialty. I ordered a variety of 8 tacos, to try a little bit of everything. There is inside seating only, tables and chairs for about 20 and light music in the background. The food took about 20 minutes to prepare. The birria was good as well as the shrimp. Nice place, good food but a bit on the expensive side.

I bookmarked this restaurant YEARS ago and since then, Yelp buddies have been adding their recs,…read morebut I kept driving by saying, 'Oooone day...'. Today was FINIALLY the mañana I've been promising myself! Shout outs to Joe Z and Jennifer E! Hubs and I came in on the Friday of Valentine's Day for some HHour nibbles and - if I'm being honest - this gal REALLY wanted a margarita. We were greeted and seated immediately, smiling faces all around. Lovely, fresh red roses on each table and Valentine themed balloons throughout the restaurant made this venture seem extra special. Lily, our beyond delightful server, approached with a welcoming 'Hola, Mama, what can I get you to drink?' When I said I needed a margarita, simple, but good, she recommended the 24oz Mega Margarita, a great price at the regular $20, but a bargain at HHour $16! Perfecto! Rocks, no salt, perfectly refreshing and delicious. Now, they state "Traditional Mexican Cuisine as well as our specialty Mariscos" on their website and, honestly, I think I should have gone for a seafood dish. I kept saying 'try something different' in my head as I perused the menu, so I tried Tacos Dorados con Carne and chose chicken as my meat. I'm sure this was very authentic. But, aside from French fries, I'm not much of a potato gal, and I don't care for tacos - what was I thinking?!?! I blame the margarita! LOL The chicken was seasoned well and the presentation was beautiful. It's not fair to judge the dish on my lameness to order something I wouldn't know anything about, so ignore my ignorance and, if you like the idea of whipped potato stuffed into fried tacos topped with cabbage, seasoned(and a gorgeous shade of pickled pink!) onions and meat, go for it! Now, Hubs, ever the compass of steady and unwavering culinary journeying, went with the Asada Quesadilla and was VERY HAPPY with his choice. From his dish I stole his way too complex (for him) and fabulously fresh guac. By the end we were satisfied, I held off ordering a second 24oz Marg, Hubs poured what was left of me into the car and we headed home. But I have since been thinking about the great service, comfortable ambiance, the way the staff treated each guest as if they were family walking into their home, our generous plates of food, that margarita and how conveniently located Las Originales is for us and I KNOW we will return! I think next time I'll try a Guadalajara inspired, tomato sauce soaked Torta with grilled ham, shredded pork, soft cheese and other delicious "stuffs". THAT should pair most excellently with another Mega Margarita. Cheers! "CC"

Steady stream of phone calls for takeout but my order was taken quickly We got asada, carnitas and al pastor tacos and a small rice and beans . They have two salsas a spicy red - it had great flavor but was very spicy and a flavorful green mild salsa I took a seat and waited for my order. There are several tables to sit at and A TV with soccer playing. My order was done fairly quickly and packed very well. The tacos were all labeled The tacos were stuffed with meat. At other places I usually order four so that is what I got here but I was full after three! The rice and beans were very tasty as well. I reheated my fourth taco later that evening and it was still good I definitely want to go back and try the tortas and other items

I went to this place last Tuesday. I ordered myself Steak Tacos and my wife wanted fish tacos. I was trying to order fried corn shelled tacos, but they talked me into trying small taco sized flour tortilla grilled on the flat top for both types of tacos. I have to say, all the ingredients were fresh & tasty. The place is clean and staff is friendly. My complaint would be that the value for what you get is overpriced, but tasty. Steak Tacos were $5 each and not stuffed and fish tacos were $6 each. It gets 4 stars for the freshness, tastiness, cleanliness and good service. Respectfully, Taco Man Wedo!

She provided outstanding service from start to finish. She was friendly, attentive, and constantly checked on us to make sure our drinks were full and that we had everything we needed. The food was excellent. I'm especially picky about guacamole because most restaurants don't season it enough, but this was one of the best I've had. I still think Chipotle has my favorite guacamole, but this was a very close second. It was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of salt. The chips were also great--light, crispy, and not overly thick. For my entrée, I ordered the chicken and shrimp fajitas. Both were cooked perfectly, well-seasoned, and served with just the right amount of grilled onions and peppers. I also really liked the flour tortillas. They were soft, fresh, and the perfect complement to the fajitas. We also ordered the carne asada skirt steak, and it was outstanding. It had a great smoky char on the outside, was packed with flavor, and was cooked perfectly. The only downside is the parking, but that's really not the restaurant's fault. The area is just extremely busy, so finding a spot can take a little patience. Overall, this is my favorite Mexican restaurant I've tried so far. I got the ribeye taco plate and she got the chicken tinga taco plate. We also each got the watermelon hibiscus margarita. The margaritas were the highlight of the night. They were well made and delicious. I could definitely drink a couple of them. In regards to the food, I enjoyed my tacos but my only complaint is if I'm being charged $20 for ribeye tacos, there should be way more meat in each taco. I feel like they skimmed on the meat, which I didn't appreciate, especially at that price point. Other than that, service was prompt and the interior was pretty. I would definitely come back for those margaritas. I believe they have weekday happy hour, so I might check that out for a more affordable experience.
