The food is amazing not only do they give you great quantities but the chicken is delicious! So yummy with a smoked barbecue flavor. I ordered from Guapo's Woodbridge this evening for the first time via DoorDash. I had the steak quesadilla and plantains. The food came quickly and the dasher was friendly and efficient. The steak quesadilla was good but not filling. I guess I expected more from some of the pics I have seen. I also could have used more pico de gallo which was more of a garnish on the plate. The food was really great we were able to eat it all before we ever got our frozen margaritas. We ordered on the kiosk which we found out was having issues. That was okay so we started asking the server who came to us. After that we never saw her again. We asked another gentleman who wasn't sure about our order as he was trying to take the phone orders. He was very kind though to be clear. But the manager was right there the whole time and did nothing to help but ask about my ID. I totally understand and actually had it out waiting and the gentleman saw it when she walked away and at this point we still hadn't received our drinks, and after getting upset, were they then finally able to start something that took less than a minute to pour in a cup. Guapo's is my go to place for decent food (in Dumfries and Reston). My sister and I also shared an order of chauffa rice, three taco platter and a half rotisserie all white meat chicken meal. The taco platter has changed and not for the better (no pico de gallo or guacamole on the side). My chicken was a little over cooked and salty. The food here at this location is fine and usually consistent/decent with taste and presentation. While the customer service can be very inconsistent as some folks already mentioned. It depends on the mood of your server to the attitudes of your counter folks. I had good service at times, while other times the service was nonexistent. This includes management. Guapos restaurant has been a favorite stop, for over a decade, when we are in the mood for an unassuming spot that's serving up really tasty food, fast and cheap. Like a really good food truck without the wheels. But, what a surprise on our recent visit! They completely revamped their menu, keeping the long time favorites like pollo a la brasa, and now adding several new choices. Even more surprising is they've added fancy cocktails like this spicy guava margarita. And it's good! Not too sweet and just the right amount of spicy. Recently, I've been searching for really good authentic tacos. Perhaps I'm just picky but, good authentic tacos are so hard to find. Guapos satisfied my craving. I choose three different tacos. Al Pastor, Carnitas, and Carne Asada. They came perfectly seasoned but, it was the Al Pastor that sold me. Do you know how hard it is to find Al Pastor this good?! A juicy explosion of flavor in my mouth! My only critique was the gluten free taco shells. Not really a complaint. They were pretty good. But, not the authentic I was craving. I'm already looking forward to returning and trying some of the other new dishes. If you visit Potomac Mills Mall in Va, it's a must stop. The front staff wander around looking at each other instead of helping customers. There's no designated area for takeout, so lots of waiting takes place. Every time, our order is wrong. Once you order your food at the cashier, you are given a number card. When your food is ready, it's brought to your table along with napkins and silverware. Menu has a nice variety of items. They have plenty of authentic dessert and drink options. Portions are generous. All Combos include a soda, which is nice. Rotisserie chicken is juicy and tender. The skin is slightly crisp. Seasoning is a bit light. It's not my favorite rotisserie chicken in VA but still A-OK. I love side items and Guapos has lots of it. The food isn't horrible, but it isn't all that great. The best item was the papusas. Avoid the red salsa by any means necessary. The green salsa was very good. The process of getting food is definitely different, but the ace has constant and consistent traffic. You order at the front, then give you a stand with a number on it. Salsa was great, you buy it for 2.95 it's not free and unlimited but I like that as I love salsa and this help with temptation The place was clean and the people were very nice. It is bright and vibrant place not run down. Oh they have this spicy green sauce that the waitress told me was jalapeño sauce. This stuff is very good. About medium hot. I highly recommend. I lived in this area over 20 years and have never visited this place. The only reeason I went is because my boyfriend wanteed to eat here and I let him have his way. I thought it was a casual dining spot with waiters and waitress but not like Chili's it's more like a Chipotle style but if you dine in they do bring you your food after you after you order at the register and get a number. The lines can get long - kinda confusing for a first timer but they move very quickly. I had just started my diet again! I skipped the rice took the skin off the chicken but it was still very flavorful and the plantains were yummy as well....... beans are beans. We will definitely be back.
