The burrito was huge -- I only finished half and ended up eating the rest for dinner the next night. The beans didn't contain pork, which was a plus, and the rice was flavorful as well. Parking was easy, though there's only one entrance to the lot, so it's easy to miss and requires a U-turn if you do. There's plenty of seating inside the restaurant. I've given this restaurant two chances, and both visits were extremely disappointing. Management has been unresponsive, and Skylar Bell, the regional manager, promised three different times to send something to address the poor food and service. Nothing was ever followed through on. So, I decided to sit at the bar. Mistake, happy hour wine was $8:00. Normal price is $9:00. That's why I was the only one there at 5:45 pm. The bartender was a child with no personality. The greeters and takeout staff need to trade places with her. I watched her use her nasty hands to apply a lime to a customer's corona beer and fruit to other orders. She got a dollar tip. I come to this Chuy's location pretty often and always have great food and often have good servers. The service I had last evening wasn't great. We ordered cheese dip and couldn't get our server to come back to bring us chips so we just sat with our cheese dip getting cold for about 10 minutes before she came back. I will also mention that if you get an item with peppers on the menu and you are not a huge spice person, I would ask the wait staff prior. I ordered an item with peppers a few months ago, and coming from someone who likes spice I was unable to eat the item it was so hot. The manager then let me know the peppers they had received were higher in spice than normal and causing many customer complaints. Overall, I wish I could give chuys a 4.5 out of 5 because the food is normally really great and so is the service. My go to order is the steak burrito with creamy jalepeno sauce and queso as an appetizer. The queso has some kick if you like the spice! The food options were typical and I ordered a Steak Taco Salad and my sons had the cheese quesadilla w fries and ice cream. The salad was ok, I was expecting it in a taco like shell but no big deal. The steak princes had decent flavor and they didn't overwhelm me w a ton of lettuce and skimp on everything else. On the not so good side, they have limited kid meal options. No tacos, taco salads, or Tex mex version of chicken fingers. The quesadillas my sons received were basically melted cheese in a soft taco shell. No options I saw to add chicken or beef. To be fair they ate them but I would have been fine if they passed. Lastly, a disturbing feature I noticed was the art throughout the entrance and the restaurant mainly consisted of white hispanic women (the pictures literally said Blanca which is feminine adj for white).
