    Cuban bread

I came here for a casual family dinner and we were promptly served and sat down. The restaurant was relatively empty probably because since it was a week day and there was only 2 other people in the restaurant. We were able to order and modify our sides for our meals. It came out nice and hot and fresh. My only complaint would be the service since our waitress took way too long for refills and was nowhere to be found to ask again but we found another waiter to help fill up our water and give us more bread. Everyone enjoyed their meals and it was priced amazing for the portions! We only paid ~$90 for 4 meals and 1 drink and even had another for leftovers the next day. The food and portions are great but the service could use a bit of work.

Located in shopping plaza end area with lots of open parking. Outside tables as you enter as well as tables and booths inside. Party of 8 go late Sunday lunch. Very welcoming staff and attentive waitress quick with the refills Lots of items on the menu.ordered and there wasn't a long wait for our meals to arrive. Nice portions.

Guarapos is a wonderful little spot that always guarantees a great meal. For starters, the staff members are incredibly friendly. You're seated right away and your sever will bring waters and the most delicious, warm bread with some sort of butter on it that is to die for. Their menu is huge, so it's nice to having something to munch while everyone at the table decides what dish to get! The food itself is incredible. I've tried a few different steak dishes and the pork and was pleased every time. The meat is always well marinated and so tender. It's very clear that they have perfected all of their recipes! Their sides are also fantastic. I opt for the traditional side of rice, beans and plantains. However, i definitely recommend ordering some additional sides if you feel like branching out. Their fried yuca is unreal and the garlic dipping sauce is the cherry on top!

Watered down ropa vieja , no flavor.

Was craving some Cuban cuisine , so we picked up some take out, from Guarapos in Boynton Beach. Unfortunately it turned out to be a bad choice. Ordered the Ropa Vieja , which I have had many many times, in my last 45 years living in south Florida, and I am sorry to say, it was one of the worst, watered down sause which is supposed to be , thick and full of taste, had little flavor at all, it tasted like it came out of a can, the black beans Were just a little better but not by much. Very disappointing, I have had better at one of the latin markets in the area that serve hot food , which will go nameless.

First time here - hope food is as good as the drinks - sangria -big thumbs up - friendly service

Great restaurant to be. Restaurant has guarapo (fresh squeezed sugar cane juice). They even have mix guarapo with different juice or cocktail. It is something special and unique. We were here because of the Churrasco. I have the Churrasco steak. The temperature was cook correctly. The taste is good. Big enough steak. It comes with rice, plantain and black beans sauce. Those sides are very good too. We got Guarapo and mix guarapo with orange juice. Both drink are good too. Service is on point.

I recently stopped by for lunch, and my experience was pretty solid overall. The restaurant had a lively vibe with lots of people picking up take-out orders, which added some fun energy to the place. I am saying this because this created some fun people watching as I had a good view from my table. My server was super friendly and helpful, which was appreciated. She brought out garlic bread as soon as I sat down. The garlic flavor was pretty mild and the bread was a bit soggy. I still ate a piece since I was hungry. For my main, I ordered the beef empanadas. They came three to an order and were tasty but definitely on the greasy side, seemed like they'd been deep fried a little to long. Next time I will try something else from their lunch menu, which actually has a pretty decent selection. They also offer daily specials that are reasonably priced. All in all, I'd go back and give it another shot. The service was good and there's a lot of good reviews, so I think there's more to try here that I might like. There's plenty of parking since they are located in a large plaza.

Always very good Cuban Food I. A great location with plentiful parking. Always stop in when in Boynton Beach.

Pretty sure the pork wasn't marinated, just fried in old oil.

I will say they could use a little better lighting, as the place does look a bit dated, but maybe that's the look they're going for. I've heard this restaurant has been here for about two years, and somehow we didn't know about it until a few weeks ago. Onto the main dishes! I had the Vaca Frita with white rice, black beans, and maduros, and everything was packed with great flavor. My wife had the Birria Tacos, and she said they were excellent. Of course, I had to try the consomme and what a mistake... because now I'm hooked line and sinker. It was so packed with flavor that I even started dipping my Vaca Frita in it. This is definitely a hole-in-the-wall kind of place, and I mean that in the best possible way. Don't miss out on it! I've seen some people complaining about the gratuity already being included on the check. Stop whining and tip what you should. If you have a problem with tipping, don't go out to eat at a restaurant with waitress service. The additional tip option at the bottom of the receipt is simply there for those who want to leave the full 20% or more. If you don't feel they deserve anything extra, then leave it as is. We will definitely be coming back. The scary part is just how local and convenient this place is. Ha!

However, I know from traveling that some of the best spots are ones that appear to be a hole in the wall. I walked in, very cute inside! Staff was welcoming and I cozied right up at the bar to wait for my friend. I was immediately brought chips and salsa and a cold beer. We ended up sitting at a high top and our waitress suggested that I try either carne asada from the Mexican menu or Vaca Frita from the Cuban menu. I love me some carne asada but I was intrigued but this 'fried shredded beef' that was marinated in mole and cooked in a hot skillet until crispy. She suggested sweet plantains to go with it and white rice with beans which is traditional Cuban (instead of yellow rice). IT WAS FABULOUS! It was crispy on the outside and juicy. The mole was flavorful but not spicy and i appreciated that the meat was not dripping in sauce. My dinner date ordered chicken tamales which were seasoned in a Cuban style with yellow rice. She is used to Mexican tamales but said these really hit the spot! The only blemish on the nice was her second margarita which was the cucumber one which she didn't like at all. However, the first one she ordered (pictured) which was a different flavor was a show stopper.

They have a large and quite varied menu. They describe their menu as Cuban based, but it's so much more than that. Their specialty seems to be seafood as they offer several types of fish prepared in a wide range of ways. For example, they have 6 different snapper entrees as well as grouper, salmon, tuna, scampi, shrimp and mixed seafood dishes. Our friends each thoroughly enjoyed their coconut grouper, which was accompanied by a side of rice and grilled veggies. The fish was fresh and delicious. One person had the conch chowder, which was hearty and a bit spicy. It was delightful and filling. Enigma also offers steaks, chicken, paellas, and pasta dishes. (I wasn't kidding when I said their menu was eclectic). My husband and I shared the chicken parmesan with pasta and the vodka penne with chicken. Both dishes were excellent. The chicken was tender and the sauces were both very good. I thoroughly enjoyed the vodka sauce on the penne pasta. The dinners all came with a side salad that had a nice mix of ingredients and an Italian dressing. We split a carafe of Enigma's specialty red sangria. No wonder it's so popular. Both fruity and flavorful. The husband and wife team that run the restaurant are very nice. She runs the front-of-house and he is the chef. He even delivers the meals to the tables, so guests have a chance to meet him and thank him for his delicious preparations. Enigma is now on my "visit again soon" list.
