As a child, I had no concept of the course my Father would plot in order to arrive at my Grandparent's house every time we'd visit. But in each trip we took, we'd inevitably see a Paul Bunyanesque statue that stands on top of this business looming in the distance, which was certainly cause for excitement. It was cause for a little nervous anticipation, too. The fact that this place was an auto rebuilder was of no consequence to me in those days (I wouldn't have known what that even WAS at the time), but the fact that they had a humongous and yes, even grotesque looking Goliath standing guard above it was truly a sight to behold. When you're five years old, it was also a sight to beware of as well. His fierce, steely blue eyes seemed to follow you as you'd drive by, almost daring you to try and coax him from his perch...although, that colossal dead blow hammer he wielded in his big, meaty hands was reason enough not to. Then, as we'd pass him each time and he'd start to fade from sight, you got the feeling he was saying "OK, I'll let you go. THIS time! But eventually, you gotta come back...". I stopped in to see if they could replace the outside driver's handle on my Volvo. He was very kind, told me no problem bring it in tomorrow morning between 8 to 11am. I was happen I did not have to leave it. Well, I brought the handle in and waited. Once I was home I notice that the inside panel on the driver's side was hanging off. So I tried to push it back in and notice that the plugs that goes into the base were broken off. More importantly the knob on my radio was loose of the stem, and lights off several numbers. He had no reason to touch the radio. I would have taken it back, but if he tore the panel off and broke the know on my radio to fix a door handle. What might he do next to fix what he broke.What can a barber do after he gives you a bad hair cut? Polite person, however, I would not trust my vehicle with them, if you do take pictures of everything. read more

I got an estimate for work a year ago, but went with a different shop (better price). But when I broke my side mirror, I went back to Guardian for an estimate because they are close to home. The tech examined my car while I sat in the waiting area after filling out their form. He called me outside asking why I was there. Thinking he was daft, I went to tell him about the mirror. When I pointed at it...it was FINE! I turned to the tech and he burst out laughing! He had popped the mirror back into its housing. I have used Guardian when I've needed body work done, their name having been given to us from State Farm. Each time, our car was repaired in a timely fashion, repaired well and freshly washed. They are nice and close to home, so I am able to walk for drop off and pick up. The only downfall is that they are cash only, so you must be prepared to pay...no credit cards. read more

Had roughly $14,000 worth of damage done to our Honda Pilot from an accident, and it looks like BRAND NEW after they were finished with the repairs. Great people that do great work. The owner Paul is very nice and thorough. The only reason I gave them a 4 is because the communication portion of their business was very lacking throughout the process. No updates unless you called them, and not much communication about what was happening unless I prodded them constantly for information. I guess it just takes a long time for them to do the job properly, and the finished product is really what matters when it comes to autobody work. read more

Horrible experience. Do not do business there. They overcharged my insurance, did not do the job correctly and refused to fix it.

My wife and I felt like we were held hostage by this shop. They had our car over six weeks. We came in to check on the car after three weeks and they showed us the car with a few pieces removed. What had they done in those three weeks? We were repeatedly told, "next week" only to be disappointed over and over again. The work they completed seems adaquate, however, the inside of the car and trunk are extremely dusty from sitting in their shop for over one and a half months. They sent the car out several times to adjust the alignment--this took several days. I recommend you select a shop that does the alignment in-house then it will take a few hours instead of several days. They will tell you repeatedly that they are a, "State Farm shop." I was not a State Farm insured customer. read more

A tree fell on my 2015 Honda CR-V and they've been working on my car for almost 8 weeks! Yes 8 weeks!
