    Text Received Regarding Issue with Payment

    I wish to express my dissatisfaction with the recent experience I have had with your company's customer service regarding my maintenance agreement payment. A few weeks ago, I received a text message notifying me that my payment for the maintenance agreement didn't go through. The message instructed me to contact the office if this was an error and /or call to rectify the payment information. Since then, I have made three separate calls to your office, most recently yesterday afternoon, and have spoken with Donna each time. I explained the situation regarding the text message I received and expressed my confusion as to why the payment didn't go through as my card information and security code has not changed. On each occassion, Donna verified my address and card number multiple times during our conversations, yet the issue remains unresolved. I must emphasize my disappointment in the level of service provided by Donna. Her handling of the situation reflects poorly on your company's reputation for superior customer service. I rate her service as one star and would give her a ZERO rating if it was available due to her unwillingness to resolve the matter, which I'm sure involves nothing more than a click of a button. I believe that there was no error with my payment going through, but feel that because I was unable to have maintenace at my home this winter, due to a serious illness in the family, that Donna somehow decided I should no longer have access to the Shield of Protection Program. How stellar of her. I didn't know when I called over I was speaking to God. It is unfortunate that I have to bring attention to this issue, especially considering the excellent service I have always received from your technicians. I particularly want to commend Peter for going above and beyond in the past, which is why I have continued to rely on your company for my HVAC needs. Does the trust and satisfaction of customers not mean anything anymore? Shame on Donna.

I reached out to a number of different HVAC companies on Monday evening, and HVAC Buddies was the first to respond. Erik and his team (two guys) arrived at 7am the next day, and Erik quickly determined the problem and laid out my options: repair the AC, replace the AC, or replace the entire HVAC system (AC and furnace). He provided me with multiple quotes for AC-only replacement and HVAC replacement (at multiple price points). One thing that I appreciated was that Erik went out of his way not to upsell anything and made clear that it was my decision, but still answered all my questions and gave me his professional opinion. I ultimately decided to replace the entire HVAC system due to its age (around 15 years old). HVAC Buddies also offers payment plans through a third-party lender, so I was able to set up a payment plan with 0% interest for 36 months, which is always a welcome option for large expenses like this one. Erik and his team came back on Thursday morning with the new unit and worked all day to get the new HVAC system installed. By 8:30pm on Thursday, my AC was running again. All my questions about the installation (and other HVAC-related questions) were answered. Erik was very communicative throughout the entire process. I'll be using HVAC Buddies for future HVAC needs.

    We went through Service Pro Titans for a complete installation of an HVAC system in our 130+ year…read moreold home in Pilsen. When we first reached out, we were actually just considering getting our wall heater replaced, as it had a gas leak. Jeffrey came out to check out the system and gave us a quote the same day - he didn't push any additional services on us and the pricing and timeline was super reasonable. After some discussion, we decided it might be a better use of our time and money to just have a whole system installed, since it was something we were planning for the future anyway. Jeffrey came back out to create a plan and give us an updated quote, along with suggestions of what was/wasn't possible with our home structure. He and his team began their work within a few days of our quote - they spent about 2.5 weeks overall in the home and were incredibly efficient, respectful, and communicative throughout the whole process. There were a few unexpected surprises while cutting through the walls/ceilings that I could tell were frustrating, as it set them back and forced them to reroute, but they never complained and they just kept working through the issues. When they were finished, Jeffrey came back out to thoroughly check over the work that had been done and had his guys come out one last time to fix any tiny issues they had missed. Since the installation, he has continued to quickly respond to any questions we've had and will also come back in the Spring to properly turn on the air conditioning unit (the system was installed in the dead of winter). We really couldn't be happier with our system and are so happy we have an evenly heated home and no more window AC units!!
