I contacted them without a reference because they were one of the few HVAC companies I could find that would service underfloor heating. It was easy to book an appointment for an estimate online and I received a response back quickly to suggest recommended times. The technician, Kamil G, came out and was professional and efficient. Within a week their 2 technicians came out to do the work and they showed up early and on time and stayed late to ensure that it was working properly. When they noted an error in how they set something up, they called it to my attention and corrected it right away. Their supervisor came back the next day to check the work and demonstrate how to use the system. I received 3 different quotes for this work and Global had the best pricing and was definitely the easiest to work with. I do not recommend them. They were supposed to tuneup my hvac and were in and out within minutes. Months later I also just found out. They replaced my filter with the wrong size. If they missed something this simple I wonder what else they didn't do correctly. Don't waste your money here. The capacitor in our AC unit blew during the heat wave. I called half a dozen HVAC repair places, including some I've used before, and if anyone even answered no one would be able to come out until we'd all melted. I gave Global Heating & Cooling a call and it went to voicemail as well. Not even five minutes later, my phone rang and it was them actually calling back. I had to schedule around a neighbors schedule to get access to the AC unit, which made things a bit trickier, but Global found a time the very next afternoon, days before anyone else could make it. They actually called the next day to see if they could show up half an hour early, which was shocking given the heatwave. They had everything running within 15 minutes (it was a simple repair that just happened to break everything), and had left before the actual service call was scheduled to start. For only having a twelve person outfit, they can seemingly cover jobs that much larger businesses aren't able to. Very happy I found these folks. read more

Prompt and professional service with a day of appointment, but pricing felt exorbitant for the parts and labor ($500) to replace an A.C. Capicator which took under an hour of tech time and a part that's like under three digits. Will consider again in a pinch, but would definitely suggest shopping around and hesitant from making this a 'go-to. An update following the businesses feedback- I have no qualms with the diagnostic fee, it's the rate charged for the repair. I received several other quotes for this specific repair for several hundred dollars less. Still steep seeing what the repair actually entails, but in line with what you'll see on Angies list. I made the mistake of agreeing to the repair before doing my homework and unfortunately this is business that is happy to turn that into cash. Our air conditioner broke down right right on the onset of a string of 90 degree days. My husband received an outrageous quote from Four Seasons and we were in a funk. Damen came out as promised the next day. Our unit was so old that he told me up front that he couldn't work on it. He then spent the next 20 minutes, even though he was super busy and was unable to fix our unit, explaining what the problem could be and which companies actually still service old machines like ours. He only gave me an estimate for a replacement when I asked and never pushed any other service on us. Also, even though I wanted to pay his service fee for his time stopping over, he refused. I can't say whether or not he does great work as he didn't work on our system. However, I could clearly tell he knew his trade by the information he shared and his quick appraisal of our situation. We had our AC go out on the first really warm day this year and GH&C were able to get out to us within 4 hours! Mike is a very personable and knowledgeable guy, he explained what needed to be done, gave us a couple options and answered all of our questions (even when he was clearly busy and trying to provide the same attention to his other clients who were having issues in the new summer heat). He had two techs out the next day to do the installation (one of the guys, Pauly, was fantastic and made sure we were aware of everything he was doing) and came back after they were done to make sure everything was working correctly and again explain everything to us. He also gave us a few pointers on how to care for the new system and our other HVAC systems, which is invaluable information. Our new AC was up and running by 10:30am (less than 24 hours after our initial contact). I'm thrilled with the customer service and care we received and will recommend Global to everyone I know, including others in my building. Quick response and service but I felt oversold, overcharged, and I question the quality of the work. Global Heating and Cooling is definitely big on the "hard sell". Instead of fixing the problem, they aggressively pressed us to replace the entire unit for $4,000! "If it was up to me, I would just buy a brand new unit". After digging a little deeper into the sales pitch, they finally admitted that they could fix it for only $200! When I told them that's all I wanted (and could afford), they continued pushing me to buy a new unit. When I didn't fall for it, they pushed me again, this time to at least replace a key part for an extra $1,000: "If it was up to me, that's what I would do...if I wasn't going to buy a new unit (if you do we'll give you a discount)". When I asked them just to fix it to get it running, they called back less than 10 minutes later saying they tried, and although it worked, they now needed the extra $1,000 to keep it going! Based on the way they described "the fix" the less than 10 minute follow-up call seemed nothing less than suspicious. I was in a pinch and didn't have time to get a second opinion so I shelled out the extra $1,000 knowing that I had been fleeced by a dishonest repairman (enough so that I'll be watching my credit card statements for more extra charges). The good news is that everything is working (now) but based on the experience, I will NOT be surprised if something else mysteriously breaks in the near future (and if/when it does, I will NOT be calling Global Heating & Cooling). read more

Nobody likes it when our appliances break. Specially your AC on one of the hottest days and a Saturday as well. Upon swift departure and a promise is made to return in order to attach a severed air duct to the furnace to facilitate the installation . Paid in full . Big mistake . Other deficiencies of their craftsmanship noticed . Screws holding coil's housing not secured , holes in a duct hastily taped over generating whistling sound . Since June I have contacted Kamil and his partner 4 times about the above . Each time they promise to call back to arrange for completion of their work . That never comes to fruition . Split system outside air conditioner unit had been broken down (the compressor was shot or the motor was seized) for a few weeks and after exhausting all options for repair I started calling around for estimates on a new system. Global Heating and Cooling offered the best deal for the best system and Mike and Mark came out the same day I called to see what I was working with. They arrived quickly and even ended up knocking another $100 off the price of the future installation. After only a 2 day turn around they came back and installed the new system.
