It is causing a fear and anxiety for many residents. The same people rotate on committees and they act like they own the place. They are spending millions and millions at a rate that concerns people and present votes without complete information. Maintenance is not being done well. Research well before considering moving here.

EDIT: The response below is a perfect example of how this company operates. The owner notified our board president at the end of February (less than one week after the board meeting) that they will be dropping us, which made the board scramble to select a new company by the next meeting at the end of March. Obviously, the new company needs more than one week to onboard our community, but Mission did not care. Even though our contract with the new company would not begin until May 1, the snarky woman at Mission said we were terminated as of March 31-even though my board president has an email from the owner that states they would continue administrative services through April. This means that dues have not been collected, vendors have not been paid for their work, and homeowners have no support in addressing issues for an entire month. While what Kim said about following the agreement is technically correct, how this was handled is both unethical and unprofessional. Our community deserves better than this.

The Catalina mountains are just striking and full of hiking trails. Unfortunately, I could NEVER recommend moving to the Preserve. The HOA2 board runs Mountain View/Preserve like a concentration camp. There are so many rules to follow and tons more people trying to trying to bully you one way or another. Perhaps it is COVID-19 that is causing some people to feel so entitled they have to complain about people no matter where you are here: golfing, pickleball, tennis, and clubs..... Some neighbors will complain about what is in your back yard or that your home blocked their view when being built, and so on. These people should look at themselves and be a much better version of themselves before complaining about others. The HOA2 board and/or/ the ALC will write notices and fines to some neighbors for a rule buried on page 300 of paragraph 4, section g, while they allow very bad unkept yards which bring down the value of our property. I would definitely recommend HOA1 as the golf course is run professionally, has GREAT pro's, and you are always greated with a smile. When you are lucky enough to retire, be happy, live free, laugh uncontrollbly, be kind, and be the best person you can be.

Our Realtor has done the same. It is a poorly operated organization, as there was no reply to three people calling with a friendly request to obtain some information. I will never buy, nor should anyone else, without knowing the CC&R's and P&L sheet of the condo association. An ounce of research = a pound of cure. Sad. The walls are not insulated and unless you have upgraded windows, those are not either. They are…read morenice on the inside, and the outside. Issue is if you are on the first floor, you will hear every single movement, toilet flush, garbage disposal running. You'll know when your neighbor above you showers, when they walk into the kitchen, their bedroom... all steps are heard from your above neighbor. The units aren't built for peace and quiet. Your sleep will likely be affected. Unless you have the best earplugs ever, or have poor hearing. The main level units have very cold floors in winter and you'll feel drafts in most nooks and crannies. This is again due to little if any insulation or seals. Even if the unit has carpet, below or above. Understand that most people have tile floors. So if something drops and you're on a lower unit, you will hear anything that drops on the floor, so much as a dog toy. Those unexpected loud noise are startling. Even for your pet, your kids. If you rent a top unit or buy one, be aware of how much you want your neighbor to know about you. Re: your sex life, when you leave or return, when you use the shower, flush the toilet.. Beside those few inconveniences, you might just love the place!!
