So these Queso tacos were amazing! I really wanted to try the birria with their consome but I tried at the taco fest and I limited myself to half of one thing from each menu... This little truck did NOT disappoint. Their line was pretty much longer and it took longer to get our food from here but it was well worth it! The taco was cheesy and delicious. Definitely made me w a to try more of their menu items. The staff working the truck were excellent. They were patient and willing to explain things to use about the menu. It was just super slow to get only one taco. I would def recommend checking this food truck out if you want something beyond your basic taco truck tacos! Venture out and try these and grab a cute sticker for the kids! What's not to love? I can't wait to also Try the aguas they didn't have any at the event but they look fire on here! Don't be scared off by the line, it moves quickly and they are super organized. Now, if you get caught up in the California vs Texas for the best Mexican food, this place might be your answer. They have both influences and man it comes to together perfectly! Some go for the food and get the specialty drinks and some go drinks and pick up food. That's how good the drinks are! If you are looking for fantastic birria along with a refreshing fresca...you can't go wrong with anything here. I typically order the quesa Birria tacos, you have to get the consome for the tacos, and ANY of their frescas are good. My favorites have to be the Sandia, piña, and the strawberries and cream. I always suggest fully loading the fresca cause it comes out the best that way! The food is always fresh, the frescas are refreshing, and make sure to try their salsa. My wife brought me here due to a recommendation from friend. I had been craving birria tacos for a while. I picked up some quesa birria tacos here, and I must say they were delicious. Super crispy and savory even without the consomé. However the consomé elevated the flavor significantly. Only downside is I had to pay extra for the birria consomé, which makes no sense. It was a dark and stormy night ...just kidding! But it WAS dark so the outside seating area with their lights was a delightful inviting setting. You have to order while in your car - the line moves fast, then park and sit (they'll bring your food to you) or you can take it to go. We tried the birria, quesa taco, and vampiro. All are tasty alone, dipping them in the consomme makes them even tastier. I really liked the Mild red sauce, it was excellent. The watermelon drink was SO good and refreshing. I was skeptical of the cucumber drink but omgosh it was SO refreshing also -they add sugar so it not just water-I would totally recommend! I visited their brick and mortar location off Potranco this past weekend with my boyfriend after seeing a post on Instagram. From the Instagram reel, the food looked delicious and their aguas frescas looked refreshingly delightful. The store front location wasn't too far from me but it is further than the food truck. I've never visited their food truck as I'm new to San Antonio and haven't heard of this place until I came across the social media post. We pulled up and I was impressed by the size of their menu. Pretty big and a decent of options to choose from. They had a variety of quick dishes like quesadillas tacos and nachos where you can choose what kind of meat you can load it up with. I like tortas a lot so I got one with birria meat and a cup of console on the side to sip my torta in. I got the sandia aguasfresca and it was really sweet and had too much pulp. I waited for the ice to melt to water it down so it can feel like actual juice and make it less sweet tasting Than it was because it tasted like the watermelon flavored kool-aid blended with watermelon pieces. They have a fridge with self serve salsa bottles with salsa verde, chipotle, and habanero salsas to bring to your table for your liking. I'm a spice girl and have to have salsa with Almost any Mexican dish. I grabbed all three flavors to try. I got my torta and I took my first bite and.... it was average. Definitely nothing special going on. So I added the salsa and yea, it enhanced it so much. Then I went on to try the consommé and I didn't get much flavor from that. I tried the consommé by itself and it tasted watery and it was brown like gumbo. I like red consommé not brown and with the business having the word red in their name, it was definitely off putting. I finished the rest of my torta with the salsas and threw the consommé away. My boyfriend got the quesadilla and he liked it. He got the birria meat in his quesadillas. He also tried the salsas on his quesadillas and he said he really likes the flavor it added. The salsas were definitely the highlight and honestly saved our meals from being thrown in the trash. But I would not come back after spending $40 for just a quesadilla, a torta and two drinks for mid tasting food. read more

This place is fantastic but definitely get there when they open. We pulled up exactly at 5 pm and had a few cars in front of us. Drinks were out to our car in about 5min and food in about 10-15 min By the time we left the parking lot was snaked all the way through with cars starting to back up on the street. The staff were wearing masks and doing a drive up for safety. I ordered 3 quesa tacos with a cup of consommé Good flavor but did need a bit more salt. The consommé was delicious and skimmed of excess grease. (I have had many a birria taco with grease topped consommé. 1 vampiros taco - was delicious a good crispy tortilla. Good meat and salsa. I do wish I ordered a side of salsa. A quesadilla for my son- this thing was PACKED with meat and cheese. And two agua Frescas These Agua Frescas!!! I purchased a pineapple and a horchata The pineapple was so fresh and juicy! The Chamoy and tajin rim was to die for although it was messy it was worth the mess. The horchata was a sweet and cinnamon home made horchata. Non of this powder drink mix I believe the $7 come with a rim of marzipan candy. I am always on the hunt for good Birria tacos. This truck recently opened on FM1560 near the snack bar food truck. There are flags and signs to help find your way to the truck. I got there around 4:45 pm. They open at 5 pm and there was already a line. They opened at 4:50 and it did not take long to order and get our food. This taco truck has a really good system of who is working so that the flow of customers keeps steady. I ordered 4 birria tacos. We have the option to add all the fixings (onion, cilantro and chile) to it or on the side. Each Birria taco is $2. Consume is not included so you need to add that to the side for an additional $2. You are given a good portion of consume and with Birria meat in it. I also ordered 4 quesabirra tacos for $3 each. They have an array of agua Fresca and you can mix them too. If you want watermelon pineapple that is doable. I went for a pineapple agua with the chile and all the goodness that goes on it. Fruit is fresh and generous serving. The flavor of the tacos were very good. I enjoyed the salsas that come with it. The consume was perfect with these tacos. These tacos had a lot of meat in each taco there was always meat in each bite. Everything had great flavor. I did enjoy the outdoor area to sit and eat. I suggest you get there early because they do sell out each night. Like I said before they have a good system going so the wait isn't that long. read more

The aguas frescas are the big gulp of Mexicano drinks on steroids! Tons of fresh fruit, chamoy a plenty (get the extra napkins), perfect amount of tajin and not overwhelmingly filled with too much ice! It's enough to share but you won't want to. I went here over the weekend as soon as it opened around 3pm on Saturday and we went at a perfect time before it got too busy. Every time I pass this food truck I've always wanted to come by and try but they are always packed. I decided to follow them on Instagram and then plan a day to come out.. we came by and there was one car in front of us. They only serve birria meat. The food was surprisingly very very good. Everything including the quesedialla, (which I'm normally not a fan of) was delicious and packed with a good amount of meat and some cheese! Tacos were good, good amount of meat and my favorite, the Mulita. Corn tortilla filled with birria meat, some onions and cilantro and topped with another corn tortilla quesedilla style but without the cheese, was filling and delicious. The birria meat was tender and flavorful, a nice balance of meat and birria flavor neither one over powering. Out least favorite was the burrito, it was filled with too much rice and beans. The cosumme was good but I preferred my food with out it. The salsas were not bad, just not my favorite but that was ok because the food was so flavorful, I didn't even mind not having salsa. The aguas were spectacular to look at and tasted just as yummy as they looked. I would go to this taco truck again and y'all should give it a try! read more

I really was hoping this place was going to be good. We ordered 3 tacos de birria, 2 burritos, quesadilla and a side a rice. I asked if I could have extra salsa and they told me no. You have to pay extra for the consomé. Never have had to pay for consomé. Your supposed to dip your tacos in consomé. Not sure why they charge you extra. Tortillas were stale and the meat was ok. Consomé had no flavor. Burritos were super greasy. Quesadilla was pretty good. But how can you mess up a quesadilla. Aguas were really good. That why they got 3 stars. If not I would have gave them 1 star. Maybe they had a bad day. If you decide to try this place just know you have to pay extra for the consomé and they will not give you extra salsa. read more

I've been so excited to try birria tacos since they started trending. I ran into this place on @safoodie on Instagram and I am UNDERWHELMED. My "crunchy" birria tacos were so soggy, that they were falling apart. I didn't even want to dip them in the consommé. Aside from them being soggy, they had no flavor at all and there were no salt packets to help. My partner got the burrito and there was no fried cheese, as advertised and the flavor was also bland. Excellent! The tacos are great. The meat is tender and flavorful, the tortillas are great. The consomé is also very good but the salsas are just awesome. They make it great.
