Guerilla Arts was able to see me on short notice, confirm that my data was intact when I dropped off my laptop, and promptly got started trying to diagnose the boot issues I was experiencing. Everything about my experience was first rate: it was clear that they understood my problem, and they had the tools to independently test the individual pieces of hardware that could have been causing the inability to boot. When the problem turned out to be something that required an update from Microsoft, Guerrilla Arts charged me a very reasonable price for the diagnosis and the not-insignificant amount of research done. Highly recommended. One quick FYI - they have apparently moved recently from SE 12th Ave to Se Belmont. I purchased a Lenovo laptop from Costco earlier this year and a SquareTrade product protection plan to go with it. When the housing around the screen broke, I was hopeful that I could get it fixed locally (and be reimbursed) rather than ship it to SquareTrade and go without a computer for 5-10 days. Plus the case was broken in such a way that I couldn't close it, and on my own I would almost certainly have caused more damage to the computer if I tried to pack and ship it. Aside from the casing problem (which effectively means that I cannot open and close my laptop) the computer works fine. I am using it to write this review. Two Brothers was my first and only stop. Rich tried everything he could to help me. He spent nearly an hour in total on my machine. (One other customer came in while I was there. Rich briefly paused his tinkering on my machine to intake the other customer's machine. The other customer was happily out the door again in 5 minutes or less, and then I had Rich's full attention again.) Unfortunately, there was no "quick fix" to be found. Underneath the casing, we found faulty hinges and screws. Rich recommended that I send it to SquareTrade after all, since he wasn't sure how long it would take him to fix, how much it would cost me out of pocket, and how quickly I'd be reimbursed. He even helped me pack the laptop and gave me packing materials so that it wouldn't be further damaged in transit. I offered to pay for his time and he declined. I am a full time grad student working toward becoming a teacher. A working computer is a must in my daily life. I was at an elementary school, preparing to go home when a child accidentally knocked my laptop off of a shelf. It took about a 4 foot fall and I should have known better than to place it there while gathering my things, but you live and learn. Fortunately, I had purchased a Square Trade warranty that covered accidents. My options were ship it to them and wait for them to repair it and return it, or take it somewhere locally and submit an invoice for reimbursement. Staying local allowed me to avoid the wait time. I called Two Brothers and explained my situation - my laptop no longer recognized its battery but seemed okay otherwise, except for a ding or two. I was invited to drop by that afternoon to diagnose it and discuss options. I arrived just after 1pm and was back out the door in 10 minutes with a solution. We ordered a replacement battery and I was able to take my laptop with me to use with the power cord while we waited for parts. The part came in 2 days earlier than I had expected. The repair didn't take long at all. I was without my laptop for about 24 hours but it would have been same-day if I hadn't been stuck in class until after they closed. I am so pleased with my experience and recommend Two Brothers to anyone needing computer work to be done. Fast, Friendly, Affordable, and I love that they support teachers! I had purchased a malware and bloatware removal program online and the customer service rep tried to scare me into buying more security - said that even my entire network and computer were comprised. I called Rich and he helped calm my nerves that he could either fix the laptop itself of the security issues or I could replace my older laptop with a new laptop and a secure vpn. He also was able to retrieve priceless photos off of two of our older laptops that weren't working at all and move everything onto my "like new" laptop. And he did all of this at an incredibly reasonable price. We were impressed by his knowledge and ability to come up with solutions we hadn't even thought of. I could not be happier with my experience at Two Brothers Computer Solutions. My computer had a nasty virus and since I have programs on it I use for work, I was in a panic to get it fixed quickly. I tried a bunch of scans myself as well as an online computer repair company that remote accessed my computer to try and fix it (and in retrospect, probably made the problem worse) and was having no luck. I spoke to Will on the phone and he seemed confident he could get it fixed within 24 hours. I brought it in and my first impression was that he was really a nice guy. Not that that really mattered, but always a nice bonus. 24 hours later, I was informed that my computer was fixed. When I came in to pick it up, I asked if he guaranteed his work (because the virus I had seemed to keep popping up even after it was seemingly removed). He said I could always bring it back or call him and he'd remedy any issues that weren't resolved initially. My computer is working perfectly, so there is no need. Will also went through and cleaned up the machine so it's running way faster and taught me a lot about keeping it virus free in the future. I very rarely Yelp unless the experience was polarizing - either really great or really bad. My experience here was fantastic and I really can't recommend them enough! read more

Got in near the end of their business day, expecting to drop off my dead laptop for diagnosis. Instead, Rich spent about 30 minutes looking over my computer and eliminating potential causes. He ended up eliminating all the "cheap fixes" and leveled with me: it would probably cost almost as much to fix as it would to buy a newer, much better machine. He even did a quick price check on Amazon to see what pricing was like for general alternatives, and talked to me about data recovery options. This was my first experience with a computer repair service on my laptop, which had slowed down so much it was useless. Two Brothers was honest about the turnaround time being uncertain as they had a number of computers awaiting service, but with all the positive reviews, I took it in. I waited a few days, then texted for an update. I was surprised at how much I missed having my laptop! I received a return text that the laptop was ready and that they had removed the virus that was causing trouble. When I arrived to pick it up, I was given great advice on what else I could do to speed things up (I had a program running that slowed boot-up to a crawl) and was notified that my hard drive might need to be replaced as several problems had shown up during their inspection. I was told the easiest, cheapest way to do this, and have a hard drive on order. These guys are incredibly honest, fair, capable and friendly. All the five-star reviews are justified! read more

I had a very bad customer service experience from Will, the owner of Two Brothers. It took about 6 weeks and 6 times of coming in to his shop to get my computer issues resolved. I came in because my cat had thrown up on the computer keyboard and the computer was not working. Will stated he would clean out the computer and call me in a few days. He did not call after a few days so I called him. He said it needed a new keyboard after the cleaning and he would order one. He ordered the keyboard which took several days longer than he estimated and when he received the keyboard, he told me he discovered the computer battery was dead too. He ordered a battery which took also many days more than he told me it would. I also had to call him days after he said he would call me to check and see if it was in. I had numerous experiences of him telling me he would call me and did not and when I called him he would tell me he was just about to call me. The first battery he ordered was a dud so he had to order another one that also took a week and a half supposedly to come in. In the meanwhile while I was waiting for a new battery he gave me one in his shop that just happened to fit my computer. It worked perfectly, but he declined to see this used battery to me because he had already ordered a new one. I thought it may have been my old battery that he pulled out of the box that maybe wasn't bad to begin with, but he denied this. Ultimately, Will never called me when he said he would, took 6 weeks to finish a job that should have been done in no more than 2 weeks, and refused to sell me a battery that worked in his shop that was sitting in a cardboard box, but made me pay for a new one which took weeks to get. I'm very dissappointed with his company and will definitely not be back. read more
