I have been at this venue a few times. My last two were for events! I got to see the other side of what Guggman Haus offers. We got there early and were able to have some drinks and food, including the nachos. Man, I was not expecting BBQ sauce and like a mustardy sauce and cheese and it was flavor exploding, loved it. With the event we had catered pork/chicken as well as sides. Everything was great, the peppercorn dressing for the salad was so amazing, I would definitely think of a salad here in the future. The venue inside the space, with the car, is quaint with seating and you get to see everything happening outside the space as well. This last time, we were in the original Guggman Haus brewing building that houses the coffee. This is adorable! We had service the entire time, including a bartender and the beer. They made everything super easy and I would consider this space for a baby shower, bridal shower, etc. We had 25 people and it fit wonderfully. There is also outside space for overflow, so it makes it very reasonable. Now onto the beer! I had the IPA Riverside, very hazy with a great flavor. Then I went off the rocker and ordered some prickly pear drink, I was not expecting how good that was! Refreshing and light, easy to drink (probably too easy) and the flavor was perfect! Try it if you are there, it is a newer option. PROS: Parking easy, street and lot Many open spaces and areas to rent Games are included, so eat, drink and enjoy company They have trivia nights, woohoo CONS: Sometimes the food is not always a hit, nothing to state specifically today, but I recall in the past saying to myself, don't order that again. What a great brewery with huge taproom along with coffeehouse next door. The coffeehouse was closed for private event. But I was focus to go to brewery and it was little hesitant because I wasn't sure where the entrance was. But I was able to find it. The taproom was biggest. I went up to the bar counter. They have good choices. The bartender was so nice. She explained to me well after I told her that it was my first time here. I had flight of beers and they were all so good! I enjoyed it a lot. Schwarbier was my favorite! They do have food but you have to go to different windows. It was easy to do. I had Dip Trio which was really good. I want to stick with something healthy. But it was good. I love the Spinach dip. This is great experience. If I am back in town, I would go this again and also will definitely recommend to my friends and family to go here. read more

First time visiting due to gift card. There was a house with the name of the place on it separated by a patio from a larger brick that also had the name, so we weren't sure where to enter initially, but apparently the larger brick building is the correct answer. There is a parking lot across the street to the west as well as one to the north of the house it appeared. When we walked in, there was a room to the left that was hosting a private event, a cavernous room to the right with a huge TV screen, a load of tables as well as kids running around, and then straight ahead was the main space with various-sized tables, couches, and barrels for hi-tops in addition to separate spaces to order drinks from their bar and food from their kitchen. If you know what you're doing, it's probably best to order your food first since there will be a wait and then get in line for your drinks. Place was pretty busy on a Saturday at 5:00 as most of the tables were taken, but we were able to take our drinks and the number we received from the kitchen to claim one of the few remaining. If you have kids with you, they had various board game activities around to pass the time. For food, we tried the Pretzel ($8) which came with beer cheese and what seemed like a horseradish mustard. Pretzel was good and we liked both dipping options. We also ordered the Dip Trio ($17), which included their three dips (pimento cheese, creamy spinach, hummus) along with pita bread, veggies (carrots, peppers, celery), and tortilla chips for dipping. It was a full tray of food and probably more than we anticipated. We enjoyed everything. Lastly, we split the Portobello Sandwich and substituted fries for the side ($14). The sandwich was messy, but extremely tasty. The fries were OK, essentially breaded in texture which isn't my favorite and probably wouldn't order again. For drinks, my wife went with an Ash & Elm cider option they had. I was excited by their multiple stout options so I ordered a flight. I did their Winner's Milk Jug Stout, Nitro Winner's Milk Jug Stout, Mexican Hot Chocolate Imperial and Barrel Series: Imperial Milk Stout #21. Their 2 Milk Jug options were little too coffee-esque for my liking. The Hot Chocolate had a fun spicy taste, but the absolute winner was the Barrel Series as it had amazing flavor. Beyond the confusion coming in figuring out the process, the only other peculiar thing was that it seemed they wanted you to bus your own table. Considering we placed our order at each counter and paid tips for each when we did so, that seemed a little out of place. We don't live close, but would definitely be interested in returning if in the area again. Would probably order a little less food next time. read more

We took advantage of a deal on gift cards to try out Guggman house for the first time. We took the whole family for an early Father's Day, and were very satisfied. The building is spacious with plenty of seating, there are games at some of the tables, and space both inside and outside to sit a joy and meal or a bear. It was very family friendly, and I had no concerns taking my three kids there. They had a blast. They all enjoyed bacon cheese burgers and chips while I had a black and bleu burger that was the daily specialty. It was excellent. Great flavor, perfect temp and plenty of toppings. We also ordered a portion of curry wurst, which we were all interested in. Split as an appetizer it was an excellent portion and very unique to our experience. Large brewery with lots of seating both inside and outside. They have a pretty large menu with a good variety of styles that would please both serious and casual craft beer drinkers alike. The location is kind of an industrial area right outside the main downtown area or so it seems (at least to a tourist in town for just the weekend) The place seems very dog and family friendly. I didn't order any food myself, but I think they have a full kitchen here. Lots of fun merch for sale and lots of beers to go as well. During my trip, they had a barrel aged milk stout on tap. These are pretty much my favorite type of beers so I knew I had to order that one. I thought it was really tasty. I couldn't stay long and I couldn't order too much beer because I was driving and I was on brewery crawl leg on my trip. There are three places I seek out for Sour beer in the Indy area and this is one of them! We tried the Triple Berry and the Raspberry Mango. Insert drooling emoji here. It just so happened Guggman Haus is having their Oktoberfest this weekend. There will be live music later today and a flower crown making pop up event! You can sample what they have on tap and enjoy their spacious layout with comfortable seating. I think they have board games if that's something you're into. Family friendly environment. The food is pretty good too! The patio is mostly covered with plenty of shade and pretty flowers creating a nice relaxing ambiance. Bonus that they're dog friendly and have complimentary Milkbones! They have a huge beer selection and the best part (to me) is there are always multiple sours. I was able to get a whole sour flight and there were still ones I didn't try! Lots of seating options so great place to meet with bigger groups. Big food menu that you order at the counter so also easy for ordering on your time. I did the haus burger last night and loved it. The old house is now a coffee shop and they have taken over the big warehouse(?) next door connecting the 2 buildings with a biergarten. First time in since the expansion over 2 years ago. Such a wide variety of beers and all are really really good! The staff here is the best. When you go, just remember they usually have a queued line to get a beer. Unless it's really slow, you may have to wait a short time to get a beer. I've seen rookie line jumpers try to skip the line, but it's all good. They have a fireplace inside and some fun games to play on ample tables. Outside seating is available too. They have pretty good food here too, I especially liked the big fry baskets. The best way to get here, in my opinion, is by bicycle. My favorite brewery in Indy! This is brewery does something perfectly, something that many breweries brag about: mixing the old with the new. They have tons of traditional beers, and tons of wacky new-school beers. And, crucially for my tastes, they have a handful of beers that straddle the line between old-school dogma and cutting edge trends. Case in point, they had multiple experimental pilsners. Really stellar place to stop by if you're in the area. We sat outside with our dogs and the outdoor area (when it's not superduper hot) is adorable and pretty big. I was therefore surprised when I actually went inside to order to see how big the inside was, with a ton of seating options. The staff is very friendly and were down to answer any questions I had regarding their beers. There are a few IPAs, which I was excited about. Ultimately, we enjoyed the ones we got (not the best IPAs we've ever had but really hit the spot). Parking was super easy in their lot. One of the hidden gems of Indiana in my opinion. They started small... just a house and brewed in basement. They were the first on the scene with milkshake IPA's and they are by far the absolute best versions of them on the market today. My husband and I have been coming here since Guggman opened and have never had a bad experience. While we used to enjoy bringing a pizza from the nearby Amp building to share out on the picnic tables, we do love their kitchen. They have added a lot more space in the last few years and have a massive indoor taproom that is also kid-friendly. Their outdoor patio/house deck is pet-friendly. They have 2 different event spaces to rent and their original house is now a coffee shop in the morning. It's got a little something for everyone, which makes it great. The food is always cooked-to-order and comes out hot. They have an ever-changing selection of beers along with their classic core options, so you'll definitely find something you'll like! You can do growler fills of most beers or buy some cans to take home as well. We have not yet had a chance to visit their newest location on 46th street, but can't wait to soon! read more

We somehow only recently discovered Guggman Haus and are hooked. They have great beer, food, and service and have become our favorite casual spot in town. We've tried multiple beers and have enjoyed them all, especially the Wilbur's Prize Pilsner and the Great Day IPA. We enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich and the pulled chicken sandwich and were impressed by the quality of both with the added bonus of the fries being absolutely fantastic. My boyfriend has officially labeled them his favorite fries in town. There is plenty of seating for groups of all sizes and the food and drink are self-service which I think only adds to the dining/hanging out experience. This is a great spot to meet a group or to just spend time enjoying great beer and food. I just can't say enough great things about this local spot. Since the wifi was speedy and the power outlet was close to the table, why go elsewhere? The sour beers are "milkshake" style so they are fruity and sweet with a thick feel that is not very sour at all... I think the are delicious! The space is huge including an area with couches near a real fireplace and stocked with board games, a huge patio for the summer, a smaller room for private parties, and the fest hall for special events and overflow room that is great for kids to have more space to move around out of the main hustle and bustle. Three of us went to the Guggman Haus brewery for lunch. the place is huge with several different overflow rooms. They have a wide selection of beers so you order your beer then you grab a table and go order your food which they bring it out. My wife and I split the schnitzel. It was the best schnitzel I've ever had and we just had German food downtown and it was much better schnitzel (and cheaper). than theirs. Our friend also loved the schnitzel. The schnitzel's are so big we split still couldn't eat it all and had to get it a to go box. It's just that good! the potato chips which came with the schnitzel were delicious. We also got the fries with aïoli sauce and beer cheese. lots of fries, if it were closer, we would go there all the time I believe this is our fourth time and we've always enjoyed the food and beer. highly recommend this place . Wow, Guggman Haus is massive. I was overwhelmed at the beautiful space. Inside their are two dining areas. I visited on trivia night and the energy was electric. The food and drinks were kind of like that of a food hall. You waited in the food line and ordered and then were giving a number and picked you seat. Guggman has many options of craft beer. I ordered the hefeweizen and it was very tasty. The food did take a while but I understood they were busy. I ordered the fried pickles and I have never had pickles like that. They were thinner than most fried pickles, and that's exactly why I ordered them. They were crunchy, savory, and best paired with garlic aioli.
