First time here and loved it! It's an absolute must try. They have a huge menu with so many great options to choose from. Lunchtime is busy the line goes out the door, so make sure you come in early. They have been around for 27+ years and they are doing great ! I hope they open more stores . The restaurant has a nice welcoming vibe and has enough seating area. I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu. They also have shakes but the machine was not working was not able to try that.

This had to be one of the best sub sandwiches I've had in many years. Everything on the menu looked amazing. The flavors in the sub were amazing. The pepper, bacon jam, and everything else were just a perfect combination. I was in heaven.

I was in the area and saw them on YELP. I had the chicken sandwich and it was fantastic. Located in a strip mall, with parking. Give them a try!

I am always on the look out for a good sandwich/sub and was not disappointed. I have to say their menu is a bit overwhelming, and I was a bit anxious ordering for the first time, especially when the line was to the door! I could tell manu were regulars, since the staff new them by name. I ordered Italian Beef with Provolone, Rammy's Reuben, and the Two by Four. So we ate some of them before I realized we did not take pictures. The meats were of good quality and each sub was piled high with meat. We were not disappointed and we will definitely return to try other selections.

People and the food are great! Found them while traveling on business, now I stop every time I'm in town.

Best sub I've ever had! Bit pricey, but definitely worth it. The bread is always perfectly toasted and high quality. My favorite is the pretzel! It's counter serve which gives it a very casual vibe, and the staff is always friendly.

I have found my new number one favorite sandwich in all of Illinois. This eighth wonder of the world is located in a small sub shop in Elk Grove Village. The name of this restaurant is Rammy's Subcontractors in Elk Grove Village. If my loyal readers remember, I have been on a pursuit for the best sub sandwich for quite some time. A friend of mine told me about this place and said I needed to definitely check it out because I will be blown away. The one piece of advice my friend told me was to get there early. This place gets very busy. This, in my eyes, is a good indicator that this is definitely the place to get good food if it's always busy. I arrived at 11 AM on a Monday. I had full intentions of getting a typical Italian sub. That was until I looked at the sandwich board and noticed a sandwich called Rammy's Radical Italian beef. The sandwich consisted of Italian beef with pesto and garlic spread with provolone. I spoke with the extremely friendly owner's sister Kathy who suggested that I put the chipotle mayo on the sandwich with hot Giardinera. I, of course, always will do the recommendations of the workers or the owners because I do believe they know best. You have an option to choose what type of bread you want. I of course went with the Italian bread. When Italian bread is toasted, it is always the best. I waited for my sandwich and grabbed a bottle Joe's peach tea. The sandwich took about five minutes to be prepared. Kathy also gave me a small tasting of one of their shakes, which was mango flavored. It was absolutely delicious. I will 100% be back to get one of these shakes. The restaurant is set up with mainly hightop seating. I took my sandwich to one of the tables to eat. I had no idea what flavor explosion I was in for. The first bite was absolutely euphoric. The Italian beef was super tender and you could tell it was high-quality. The chipotle mayo definitely made the sandwich. It gave just the right amount of savory kick that it needed. The provolone was creamy and the garlic and pesto came through with every bite. I was in food heaven. I was able to speak with the owner, Mike Hrametz "Rammy". He told me that his place had been in business for 20+ years. I have no idea. I've never heard of this place. Every single person that worked there helped me out with choosing what to eat. Everyone was so unbelievably friendly. The longer that I sat and ate my sandwich, the busier the restaurant got. Definitely get here early to avoid long lines. There are over 20+ sandwiches that are all extremely unique. I can't wait to try them all, but definitely come in and try the radical beef. You will not be sorry. I rate Rammy's Subcontractors a 9.5 out of 10.

Got take out due to Covid 19 - Sandwiches are fantastic as usual especially my favorite the New Yorker - help support your local eatery and get Got take out again 04/30/20 - still the best Subs in town. Yes I had New Yorker again I'm back 07/06/20. They are now open for dine in. My son had the #13 Rammy's Radical Italian beef. The following is his review: So much of what I appreciate about the #13 is that it 'corrects' a lot of what I find most Italian Beefs get wrong. 1. The pretzel bun and the meat are texturally cohesive, there's a fair amount of au jus which keeps things from getting dry and make for a good chew. 2. The meat isn't stringy and isn't overly lean. Fat is flavor and their meat is a real standout. 3. Get a freaking pretzel bun, it's buttered and tasty. 4. The flavor has a ton of depth, there's cheese, onions, and jardinera. So many Italian beefs are just salty - this is VERY savory as well. Just order a #13 with a pretzel bun and be happy.

Never heard of Rammy's until I started working in Elk Grove. And was a little surprised that they were in a strip mall area, but This is THE go to spot for toasted subs. They have so many choices of meats, breads, cheese, toppings! And is obvious that they have quite the following because it's the same set of people coming in regularly as I now do! Been missing Rammy's since covid had me working from home but now I'm back! Enjoy the tables outdoors or grab your order to go! Come check it out.

The line was long but it was MOVING. I went during lunch hours so that explains the long lines. The food was delicious. I thought I was getting a big long sub but it was definitely the right size. I even had enough for a snack later.

Sandwich avocat fromage tomates vinaigre balsamiques excellent. Le fromage est doux pas trop salé, le pain est moelleux. Je reviendrai.

I totally dig the classic old school diner vibes and its a shame that there was only a few people inside when we were there. The sweet lady who took our order was very helpful to recommend some items on the menu. Overall the place seemed well kept and honestly under appreciated. Wait times for food were reasonable and things moved along well and without fuss. I jumped at the usual things i get from these kinds of places. The french fries were decent, but didn't really have much that set them above the average fry, though we ain't hating here. Of course I had to get the mozzarella sticks, and it was the right choice like always. The flavor and texture were on point, and the pull was tenfold. The marinara needed a little more going for it, but that didn't detract. My main item, a basic hotdog was solid as well. I intended to try some other things next time for sure, since they have pizza as well. It's a gall darn shame this place wasn't jumping when we were there, cause I can imagine what that atmosphere would be like. Lets spread word about Mr Beef! Can't wait to be back!

It's easy to miss from the outside in a crowded plaza market on busy Elmhurst Road, but I am glad that I stopped here. We ordered the Corn Beef Hash Omelette and the Buscuits & Gravy, both were pretty good. The portions were also pretty generous, and came with a variety of sides included like fresh fruit and homemade banana bread - very tasty. Our waitress was good. I also enjoyed the old country style American decor inside and the breakfast bar seating. Did not like that they charge a credit card fee and pass it on to customers, but overall it was a fine experience, I'd probably go back, but with cash.

We had boorsok for our appetizer, fried dough bites that reminded me of funnel cake without sugar, and there were a lot! But points of caution that they are fried and have an almost sweet and sour sauce on top which for me was a little heavy.
