This place is legit. Probably the best take & bake I've had in the area. Food - The food is delicious. They pile on the toppings and it's good quality stuff. Even though I have to cook it, it's one of the tastier pizzas I've eaten in Manteca. It's really good. Service - I've never had a run-in with the lady who I've seen others complain about. From what I gather she's just a no-nonsense kind of lady. If you ask dumb questions you're going to get a snarky response. Just pretend like she's a distant cousin of Seinfeld's "Soup Nazi" and you'll be fine. She wasn't as bad (in my humble opinion) as others made her out to be. Ambience - It's take-out only, so nothing really to write about here. Simple set-up. I'm not sure if they're open. I heard the lady who owns the place was having health issues so I'm wishing her all the best. I was very excited to try this place again since reopening. Unfortunately, I tried twice in the last six months and the food was extremely disappointing. It's not the same. The crust is super dry, not crispy like it was previously. The toppings were skimpy compared to the previous owner. This time, I paid for extra cheese and sauce and didn't receive either. Very friendly service, since we moved here it had been closed, so glad it opened. The Hubbs picked up a medium pepperoni & sausage which was loaded with toppings all the way to the edges. The pizzas are made to be baked at home and are put together so nicely. The toppings are spread evenly across the pizza and not just piled on or skimpy. Toppings are all good quality, the Hubbs wasn't a fan of the shaved sausage vs pieces of sausage. Normally, I'm not a fan of sausage and actually liked the shaved sausage. We have a pizza oven at home, it's nice to be able to pick up a pizza or dough rather than planning and preparing your dough. The pizza was ok , got 2 xl pizzas one cheese and one pepperoni, they were good . For a take n bake pizza where I'm using my oven to cook it. My bill should NOT have been $50 ($58 w/ tip) If you check the menu says pizza is $13 and change , if this isn't correct then update it , if this is correct then your employees are a Stealing . I did enjoy Guidos back in the day and why I gave it a try again, but with today's times and everything being expensive I figured support the local is worth it. We used to come here all the time when we first moved out to the valley so when they closed when Covid happened we were so sad. I asked for a small 10" combo. You wait until they prepare it, pick up, cook in my oven. While waiting, I went to gas market to pick up a drink. There are no tables. The toppings are very impressive. The way they stack them is like a hill. With a patch of cheese topping the center hilltop. I'm personally not impressed with the dough. It tastes like a plain white bread. It had good crunch but no elasticity nor unique flavors. Maybe, allow a day or three to allow a bit of fermentation to add flavor and elasticity to the dough. To me, Gold Dust has the best dough, Mavericks has the best red sauce and Guidos (this place) has the best toppings. So far. read more

We REALLY love this pizza and we're so excited they're open again. However.... Two complaints.... The menu on their website is apparently an old menu with old prices... I was shocked to pay $54 plus tip ($64) for 2 pizzas today. Also, I had a scheduled pick up time and still had to wait an extra 15 minutes because they hadn't even made my pizza when I arrived at the agreed upon time today. $54 for pizzas I have to cook myself... hard pass. read more

My husband ordered pizzas well in advance, they did not ask for payment ahead of time. Very friendly staff and easy to deal with. It was a great experience in store and the pizzas after cooking at home were delicious. We were excited to see Guido's open up again. We are NOT excited anymore, Pizza had very little cheese, and was so piled up we cooked it for a lot longer than the directions said and the middle was still lukewarm at best. The menu and prices online under Guido'spizza.com are from the previous owner, I was charged way more than the listed price listed. The pizza tasted like more ground beef than anything. I had one slice of the combo and had one (1) piece of pepperoni on it. The pizza comes on a piece of paper that you are supposed to slide into the oven and slide our after cooking, which was all but impossible. Beware Beware. read more

Great pizza! I'm willing to go a little bit out of my way, passing other more convenient pizza places, to grab a pizza here. It's a tiny place, in a less than desirable strip mall, but sometimes that's where you find the best small businesses. In my opinion, the quality of the ingredients and flavor are as good or better than many of the local dine-in restaurants and far better than the national chain restaurants. The Guido's combo was loaded with meat and fresh vegetables and it came out of my oven perfectly done with a crisp crust. Service was friendly and my pizza was ready on-time. The first time I got guidos since it reopened it didn't taste the same, lacked sauce. Well I gave it another chance and paid for extra sauce, this time was even less sauce than before! Just because they got the same recipes and get the same ingredients doesn't make this the same pizza. read more

I'm a fan of take and bake pizzas, and with all the pandemic stuff it makes me feel better to stick food into a hot oven for a bit after I receive it. This place is great. Not only is it less expensive than most pizza places, the ingredients are fresh, and they heap on the toppings. My parents used to buy pizza here years ago when I was little so today my husband and I decided to pick up a pizza for lunch after our errands. I called in an order for a medium half combo half royal hawaiian.. add jalapeños to the hawaiian side. Upon walking in, the woman greeted us and asked us how our weekend was going. I didn't catch her name but she was extremely friendly! Before we left we had mentioned this was our first pizza from them so she took the time to explain the baking process. Have lived in the area my entire life and just this past year tried this place out. So glad I did but disappointed that it took me so long to do so. The location is not the greatest when the parking lot is busy as it shared by a gas station and a hair salon all on a small corner lot. Nevertheless, this take and bake is far superior over Papa Murphy's and virtually not comparable in my opinion. Let's face it, you get what you pay for when it comes to Papa Murphy's. The amount and quality of ingredients used to build their pizza is exceptional when compared to Papa Murphy's or the majority of other prepared pizza places in the immediate area. Our household favorite is the Guidos All Meat (minus linguica, add olive). One slight complaint that we do have is that there isn't enough cheese on top of the generous toppings to hold them all on while eating. The cheese on top is only placed in the very center of the pizza (maybe a 6" circumference give or take) but plenty of cheese on top of the sauce below the toppings. They will also do a thinner crust at your request. They just run the dough a couple more times through the automatic roller. All in all this take and bake is solid. Very consistent and won't leave you guessing as to what you are going to get from visit to visit. Prefer this pizza over any prepared pizza places in Manteca/Lathrop as well. read more
