Horrible experience here. Came with a larger party of 10 people and made a reservation prior. We were immediately seated and our orders were taken promptly but the food was very mediocre. We ordered salads to share and asked the waitress how many people each salad serves and she said we could order a large for 3-4 so we ordered 2 of them. The salads were good but portions were definitely small. The deep dish pizza was soggy and they skimped on the toppings (like one piece of sausage per slice), definitely not real Chicago style deep dish. The chicken piccata was actually pretty good but not worth $26 for two small pieces of chicken. The hand tossed pizza wasn't bad either. Our problems arose when we got the check and they added on a $10 split fee for each salad (on top of the actual cost!), then when we asked the waitress about it she took it back and told us the manager told her to add it even though she clearly told us before we ordered that it would feed 3-4 people. After fixing that, she gave us the check for the second time and it had a completely new dish added to it ($16). Thankfully we caught it and asked for it to be removed so after the third time, the check was finally correct. This all left a sour taste in our mouths and definitely will not be returning or recommending it. We went because it was conveniently located to the marriott only. Updating since the owner reached out to me and credited back a portion of the dish for the inconvenience. We stopped into Giuseppe's in Palm Desert on Saturday evening for happy hour and the place was absolutely hopping--in the best way. There were family celebrations, couples enjoying dinner, and a lively bar full of friendly people. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The food came out quickly and was delicious. My Italian husband is usually a tough critic, but even he said the sauce was almost as good as his mother's! The service was fun and friendly, which added to the relaxed, festive vibe. By the time we finished dinner, there was live music starting, which of course required another glass of wine before leaving. We ordered two med Chicago style pizzas and a salad. The bill was over 100.00. I asked if they accept the discount card that Marriott gives you upon check in. Many local businesses give you a discount and they are not all associated with the Marriott. The response I received was no, we're not part of the Marriott. Neither are any of the other businesses on the card. They do it to support tourism. The pizzas were terrible to be honest, soggy wet dough. The best part was the crust. I didn't pay over a hundred dollars to only get good crust. Really bummed. I heard some great things, maybe some of the other dishes are better. ‍ read more

Our first time for happy hour, great service (Ryan, Ray and GM Paul) and atmosphere. The beer with blood orange was refreshing and the food is good and well priced. The pizza dough is made in-house, pasta bolognese (sauce, hearty/ good flavor), salmon dish and the homemade cannoli (yum- great) and there silky spumoni bomba (ice cream- amazing) is what we had, we left happy customers. read more

I would like to highlight that the pizza here is a must-have. Our Caesar salad, Chicken parm and Caprese salad received great reviews as well. Although I had craved a meatball sub, I was disappointed to learn it was only available during lunch. The shrimp scampi did not quite meet our expectations. Nevertheless, Lilly, the manager, made sure we were fully satisfied prior to leaving. Excluding the scampi, every dish was outstandingly delicious. We've been going to the PS Giuseppe's for many years. This new one in Palm Desert is just as good. Third time at this one, this time trying the Mushroom Ravioli- excellent! The wings were also very good. Service was great, very friendly staff. It's also good to see the manager not only checking on the food coming out of the kitchen, but also waking around keeping an eye on things, even wiping down the bar counter too. Joe the owner was even there tonight going around asking diners how their food was. Ambiance is very nice, can't wait until they open the patio overlooking the golf course. read more

We stopped by this place for a quick bite before going to the pool. We were pleasantly surprised by the menu and service. We had the bacon wrapped dates, calamari and hot honey pizza. The dates were done perfectly. The bacon complimented the stuffed dates, they were delicious! The portion size was also generous, 8 dates in the order. The calamari were thick and tasty. The hot honey pizza was also delicious, we really liked the thin the crust. Everything was reasonably priced too. The hostess was very friendly as were all the wait staff. The only reason why I'm giving two stars is because of our server Hailee. This girl was working her tail off tonight. The USA soccer game was on tonight. The restaurant wasn't full or over booked by any means. There was just a couple of big parties in the area we were sitting at. The restaurant needed some TLC. There were a couple of water damaged tiles over the bar that were very noticeable and would be an easy fix, but hard to overlook. The restaurant itself self was fine. The food came and we ask the person serving our dinner for new utensils he brought us salad forks. ( I know that is not a huge thing,) but management have your servers and expo know the difference between a salad fork and a dinner fork. Basic management 101. Our food was served cold to the touch.. We notified our server and she apologized and took our food back to the kitchen. The manager Paul never came to check on us or ask if everything was ok. We order two special on the menu that came with desserts and it took 15 minutes for that to arrive and we never received three coffee drinks that we ordered when we finished our dinner to go with the desserts. The server brought us our check and said the manager Paul would like to compensate you for all the trouble. ( still never came to our table) he was so generous giving us 10% off the bill. We ask to speak to him and instead of saying he was sorry . He started arguing with us about how long the coffee orders took. Very disappointed in the way he handled everything . We paid the bill before he came over. When he arrived he "offered to take care of more, but never did anything to amend the bill. Just kept on arguing over the time. read more

Guiseppe's is right here at Marriott's Shadow Ridge-SO convenient for guests of the resort. Servers were absolutely delightful. We started with focaccia served with sea salt, olive oil, and tapenade. Not quite the right consistency-it was very dry Next we shared a bowl of minestrone, and an Italian salad- both delicious! Next the entrees-the spaghetti arrabiatta was flavorful but there was so much sauce and not nearly enough spaghetti. The shrimp scampi linguine was also flavorful but a little too wet. They make their pasta in house and it was perfectly al dente. The dessert was amazing-lemon gelato with limoncello sauce and whipped cream!! Wow! read more

Took over an hour for delivery, Chicago pizza is NOT Chicago pizza for the record, just a soggy and uncooked thick crust. Sausage was good, the only redeeming factor. I enjoy coming here Thursday nights for Trivia and the food has tremendous potential. Taste is subjective, but for me Giuseppies has the best pizza I've ever had. BUT my problem is the inconsistency of it. The flavor is always good (I always get the deep dish eggplant pizza), my issue is it doesn't always come out hot. Whenever I order now, I ask them to leave it in the oven for a little longer so that when it comes out, it is piping hot. Even so, on several occasions, the pizza comes out lukewarm as if it's been sitting. The team has always been gracious in accommodating and reheating the pizza, and BAM once it comes out hot and piping, best pizza ever. read more
