Made a reservation and specifically asked for a table - not a high top. We arrived on time. There were lots of table's available but we were seated at a high top banquette. Very uncomfortable and not the ambience we were looking for. To make matters worse we were near Il Forno! That's Italian for oven! It was very hot and no relief from the outdoors where it was 115 during the day. Food was ok. It's been better. The service was good. 1st and last time to Il corso. We waited over an hour and 15 mins for our meal to be served and we were one of two tables in the restaurant. The food was VERY salty to the point of burning the tongues of a few of us. I had a group of 8 people and the food for everyone was very good, it was a nice portion that left me full but not with left overs. The service was good as well, our glasses were always full. Our server would check in with us and was very patient and polite as well as he gave us his recommendations and sounded very well educated about the menu. My husband took me here for my birthday and we were the first ones there. Everyone was very nice and polite. I didn't like the fact that they sat us in the corner. I wanted to sit maybe closer to the window but then I should've said something, but I didn't; the food was good I got the risotto. Pescatore and my husband got the Pollo marsala and we shared the Mediterranean salad. Everything was delicious except that I thought the Mediterranean salad was a bit pricey but other than that, everything was good! This is one of our favorite places to eat every time we visit Palm Springs. Usually, we visit the Palm Desert location on El Paseo but they were closed so we tried the one in downtown Palm Springs. We made our reservations on Open Table and it went smoothly upon checking in. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservations and were sat at our appropriate time. Firstly, the ambiance is cute! It's tucked in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. So you're definitely hit with liveliness of Palm Springs during any time of the day coming here. We parked at a public parking lot that was about a 3 minute walk and generally the area felt safe! They even had a security guard on a cart patrolling the vicinity. Back to Il Corso. I'm not sure if maybe the time we came was just busy but the service was definitely lacking. The time we ordered our drinks, non alcoholic beverages; to receiving them was about 15 minutes. The food took 35/40 minutes to arrive as well. The food was good. I wouldn't order the charcuterie again. It was just whatever. The salmone was great. For a fancy restaurant, I thought the plating would be better - all of our foods looked like they were just slopped onto our plate. My fiancée enjoyed the chicken Marsala. I don't think we'd come back here again truthfully. I think the ambiance is cute but it feels dated at the same time. It is a fancy restaurant and I understand that it'll be expensive. We dined at II Corso last night and the restaurant is so pretty inside. They sat out group of 10 in the private room which was very nice. So, ambiance I would give 5 stars for sure. The restaurant could be a great date night for sure. Service: 5 stars for sure our waitress did an amazing job taking care of us. She never missed a beat and got all our orders correct. Food: this is a tough decision on what to give II corso. Three of us ordered the special Chicken Parmesan and just because it was a big portion doesn't mean it was better. We all would give this dish 1 star. The sauce lacked taste and something didn't taste right with the sauce. We just couldn't out of finger on it. One guest ordered Veal Saltimbocca and honestly believed the chef made him Chicken Marsala, but at the last minute realized he made a mistake and put prosciutto on it and sent it out. The stand out dishes at the table were the spinach ravioli, lasagna, and the tagliatelle bolognese. I'm going to give this visit 3 stars on the food. Would we come back I asked the table at that end of meal and they all said yes, but would everyone said they would get the lasagna, spinach ravioli, or the tagliatelle. read more

This place offers Michelin-level prices (e.g., wines 400 percent above retail prices) with sub-par service. I've dined there 4 times in last 6 months and will not return. Pizzavino in PD and Johnny Costa in PS are far superior and less pricey and less arrogant. read more

Chef Claudio treated us to an unforgettable dining experience, showcasing the very best dishes on the menu. I came to Il Corso in Palm Springs with my family, looking forward to what was supposed to be a nice evening out. We had a reservation, but were shocked to be turned away at the door simply because we had our registered Service Animal with us. Not only was this a blatant violation of ADA regulations, but the staff--including the manager--were unbelievably rude and dismissive about it. Their complete lack of empathy, professionalism, and understanding was appalling. This wasn't just disappointing--it was deeply offensive and discriminatory. I've never experienced such ignorance and hostility from a supposedly "upscale" restaurant. Il Corso should educate their staff, comply with the law, and learn some basic decency. Until then, I'll be warning everyone I know to steer clear. We will never return. read more

The restaurant is beautiful and hip-looking. However the noise-level is very loud. Our server spoke very fast with a thick accent so it was very hard hear him. I had the lobster ravioli special which was nice but bland and my friend had clams which had sand in 2 of them. Food was great. Came here for dinner on Thursday night before going to Acrisure Arena for a concert. Make reservations so you can sit inside as it was pretty cold for outdoor seating. I ordered the fried calamari for appetizers it was breaded and crispy with marinara sauce to dip it in. The bread was brought out with a butter herb type spread so good. For entree I ordered the Tagliatelle pasta with ham, peas, and tomato cream sauce it was good. For dessert get the Tiramisu it's delicious. Margarita pizza was also pretty tasty. We had high hopes for Il Corso as we've yet to find an Italian restaurant in Palm Springs that we love. Ambiance (4) -- the best aspect of Il Corso is the atmosphere as both the outside patio and the inside dining are lovely. Food (2) -- Il Corso has been open for a while and is in a great location, so we were hopeful that the food would be up to the quality of other restaurants in the area. Unfortunately, the food we experienced here was more mall food court than the caliber of food expected. Service (3) -- a small number of staff, overworked serving quite a number of tables spread across both the dining room and patio. It wasn't their fault, but service was poor. Given the other outstanding options in the area, we will not be giving Il Corso another try. read more

I'd rate it a minus 5 stars if I could. We were a party of 8. Not only was the service slow, but they proceeded to bring out a couple plates at a time over the course of twenty minutes or so. This was a very negative dining experience with very good friends. When I called this to the attention of the manager, they did not make any offer for any consideration for this terrible inconvenience and negative dining experience. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody. The restaurant had nice ambiance. The food was just decent. Food- we both other the pasta with main lobster. Pasta was cook perfectly and the sauce was flavorful and light. It paired really well with the lobster chunks. The grill octopus was served on a bed of arugula, cherry tomatoes and olives. Had a nice charred taste and the meat was so tender. The burrata with heirloom tomatoes was also very good. The best pasta dish by far was the Paparadelle pasta with wild mushrooms and sausage, I liked my linguine with clams, which was nicely executed, i tasted the stinko which I liked - basically a lamb shank braised.
