I am not a professional musician and this is really a hobby to play guitar. Walking in would make anyone's jaw drop with the huge selection of guitars. All of the major and perhaps not major brands to support beginner price points to the series musician. Not just guitars as there was a fairly good selection of drum. Every guitar accessory that you can think of they have. You can pick up any guitar and plug it into an amp and strum. I was greeted within minutes of walking in asking how they can help us. I was looking for an amp and he took the time to ask what my needs are, what type of music, etc and then took me over to a few options that may fit my needs and explained pros and cons. He spent a good 15 minutes or more with us to answer any questions. We then looked around and picked up a few guitars to play. Overall, I was impressed by the service, knowledge and inventory of the store. I didn't feel anything was overpriced for a brick and mortar store over online, and the benefit of being able to hear and pick up the instrument outweighs any little savings from online purchase in my opinion. Loved the place...

I bought a Yamaha digital piano. The salesperson was extremely helpful in helping me choose from their wide selection. I am really enjoying my new piano - it is perfect for my needs. I found the store to have a great selection, great prices, and really helpful people.

I know just enough to be dangerous. I had a little problem with my acoustic and Guitar Dude (thick dark blonde/brown hair and beard, average height, fair complexion) was super helpful. I appreciate that he took the time to show me what was going on and teach me a little. I also saw a few guitar tools/accessories and I picked those up. Great service. Super huge thanks for the patience of Guitar Dude!

My new wood grain set!

There's no pressure from staff, but super helpful when you ask for info or want to play any instrument.

I have only the highest praise for Redwood Acoustics…read more Tom genuinely sought to understand my needs when choosing a guitar. His expertise helped inform my decision by clarifying some of the more subtle aspects of the "best -fitting" instrument (e.g., differences in glue, properties of finish, interactions between woods and model size, idiosyncrasies of particular luthiers). Collaboration with Tom was invaluable given the size of the purchase and not being able to physically visit his shop. Many conversations with Tom demonstrated his ability to listen to (and help me better discern) my preferences. In fact, he came to know me well enough to recommend a Netflix program that has quickly become an all-time personal favorite! I wasn't expecting that during the guitar buying experience. Tom stands out from the other high-end instrument dealers I've dealt with in the past. His professionalism, warmth, and knowledge are impressive, and I'm delighted to know that I can give him a shout at any point to pick his brain on all matters acoustic.

This guy is a con artist. Bought a $4000 acoustic guitar from him over the phone based on his…read morewebsite. Received it in unplayable condition and called him to return it. He asked me to hang onto it for a few days to see if the excessive heat and humidity at the time of shipping had caused extreme warping of the top and possibly keeping it in controlled atmosphere would allow it to settle. Emailed him a few days later to say it had not improved and it was being returned. He laid down terms of return which I agreed to which included a re-stocking fee and me paying for shipping. I sent it back and as soon as he got it he refused to refund my money. I'm in litigation now with the credit card company. So far they are giving him $1009 of my money for nothing. If you aren't hands on in his shop I would be very careful in dealing with him. He lied about the condition of the guitar in the first place and about everything else after. Also so much for using a credit card for protection. The banks are evil in case you didn't already know.

Great program for kids and adults to learn music in a professional environment but friendly and fun…read moreat the same time. My son has been in the program for three years playing guitar. Corey, the owner is a fantastic teacher. The school also has several public events each year teaming the students up into bands that play on stage. When she began she was a grade school student with no musical background she now is in college. Cory Tcheng made her feel like an accomplished musician when she was young. She could select the songs she wanted to play and he would teach her within her ability. As she became more skilled she would be introduced to more complicated techniques. Cory holds "Rock Concerts" rather than recitals. Even the young performers play their favorite genre of music. As they develop they continue to play the songs and style of music they love but their selections have more depth. There is a performance focus. The students are grouped together for their concerts. Each student being in the spotlight with other students providing backup music. It is very impressive to see. I highly encourage you to look their website and listen to clips of the performances. The school is for any age and ability, young to mature. Everyone will find it encouraging, challenging and rewarding. It started off with a guitar focus but the school now includes drums, piano, woodwinds and vocal. Our experience has been in guitar with the owner Cory TCheng. After almost a decade With Wauwatosa School of Music I have ONLY positive comments. The school has performed at many local events, Tosa Fest, Hart Park Fest, Tosa 4th of July parade.
