I recently bought a Les Paul from a guy I found on Facebook market place. He had the original bridge replaced with a roller bridge. I decided to put it back too it's original bridge. Bought one but, they had replaced the bridge post. So I took it to these A-HOLES. For one reason to replace the bridge post too the new ones. And I figured since they were doing that too go ahead and setup the guitar to. They had the guitar for 3 weeks,never attempted to contact me. So I stopped by on my way home from work one day and he said it was done. Charged 170 dollars and me being exited to get it home and play it didn't notice that the bridge post were not changed. I didn't notice that till a couple of days later. When I called him and asked why they didn't do the work I paid them for. He said he would have to talk to his "guy" about it. He basically stuttered and stammered through the conversation. Before I finally lost my temper and told him that he didn't know WTF he was talking about and hung up on him. I'm going to call him again today and ask him What he's going to do to make this RIGHT. The only acceptable answer is to give me my money back. His "GUY" DIDN'T DO ANYTHING THAT I COULDN'T HAVE DONE MYSELF IN 15 MINUTES OR SO. I pretty sure that I'm going to end up taking the A-hole to small claims court and I'm perfectly fine with it. Sorry for being so long winded peeps. But, I'm F'n pissed! DO NOT TAKE YOUR INSTERMINTS TO THESE MORONS!!!! Thanks for your time people. read more

This is my go to spot to get guitar gear and guitar work done. The guy there is always helpful and I've referred other musicians there as well. I had an issue with a tuner that busted and was a rare kind because it was modeled after a 1930's guitar. When I picked it up he told me he worked with the manufacturer to get the same one without me even having to ask. read more

Was not familiar with this store and stumbled into it by accident. Buying instruments, for me, is a highly personal thing and with each one (unless it is something electronic), I'm looking for something to speak to me. This store seems to be a labor of love and the guy is clearly passionate about it, but the selection is pretty eclectic. This seems to be a really good place to bring a younger (or even older, as many of these instruments are pretty moderately priced) someone to get acquainted with instruments and guitars, but it's a bit hit or miss on selection, particularly for me in my search for an acoustic, which I'm considerably fussier about than I am about electrics, which is, naturally, pretty fussy to begin with. Definitely worth your while to check out, though and the dude running it is super cool. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I went into the establishment to purchase a viola for my daughter who was just beginning. I have never played a string instrument so I was relying on the expertise of the salesman. I went in the store and immediately was less than impressed. The person who assisted me seemed disinterested in making a sale and more annoyed that I was even there. Despite this, he "fitted" my child with the appropriate size viola and I made the purchase. Shortly thereafter, both my child's orchestra teacher and her personal viola teacher told her that the instrument was astronomically too large and that if she had any prayer of learning to play correctly, I had to get her a new instrument. I went back to Guitars and More and was treated horribly. First, the clerk was actually quite kind initially. I told her my problem and she said I had to wait for the manager to finish a lesson before I could get help. The manager walked out and-- not much to my surprise-- I learned that the manager was the A-hole who helped me from the beginning. He agreed that the instrument was too large but wanted quite condescending about the entire issue and very difficult to work with. He demanded a copy of my original receipt, stating that I had to show him I bought the instrument from him. He told me that proof of the charge on my credit card was not enough. Then, after I got him proof of purchase, he told me I had to forefit the over-sized instrument before he would order a new one, and that getting a new one would take at least a week. Several unreturned phone calls later, I gave up. I went to Riverton Music and had a much more positive experience. My daughter is enjoying her viola now and has excelled greatly since the new purchase. Words cannot express how much I regret ever walking into this dump. The manager is a jerk and clearly doesn't know anything that violins/violas. read more

My band was passing through the area on tour and my bass had a electronics problem. I stopped in to get it fixed and Adam (the owner?) got the job done in 10 minutes! He gave me a great deal on bass strings too. We played a show that night and the bass worked flawlessly. A+ quality work. He also recommended a great Mexican place in town, Gecko's Mexican Grill. We ate good and had a killer show. Can't recommended this store enough. read more

Exceptional customer service the way it is supposed to be! If you are in the market for a new instrument, used instrument, repair, service, setup or just some new hardware I would highly suggest these guys. Adam is very well educated in music and can help you find what is right for you. Whether its your first time or you are like me and have many instruments this is that local shop you can rely on to fulfill your music needs. I purchased a guitar here a few months ago and had a very positive experience. The owner and his son were working at the shop when I was there and the owner was generous with his time to make sure I found the right guitar for me. He allowed me to play a ton of instruments and he demonstrated on various ones for me as well. He also fitted it for my tastes making it easier for me to play. My son has been taking lessons for a year and has learned a lot. The lessons are affordable and fun. My son looks forward to his lessons and likes the music he is learning. The guitar he received with his lessons had a manufacturing problem after being played for 6 months. The owner of the shop fixed the problem with no issues. read more

This store is terrible! My son and I drove from 40 miles away after finding them on KSL advertising a pretty good selection of guitars for pretty low prices AND it included a lifetime warranty. I figured we couldn't go wrong with that...and that is where it went terribly wrong. The Huntington acoustic electric that we bought wasn't super great quality but we figured with the warranty Guitars and More offered it would be covered if anything went wrong. Only 6 short months later the entire bridge separated from the guitar pulling up pieces of the guitar and effectively making it useless. The glue that connected the bridge to the guitar was obviously faulty. I thought, no problem it is covered under the warranty. We drove the 40 minutes to get to Guitars and More only to deal with an employee who knew nothing, couldn't give us any answers, and had to call the owner, Adam. Adam, without even looking at the guitar determined that it had been dropped or sat on. Seriously!? Wouldn't we know if that had happened? My son treats his guitars like his babies, it was very obviously a manufacturers defect. I was told that it would cost me $100 to have it fixed (it was a $140 dollar guitar) and that it would never be the same. So what exactly does the warranty cover? It doesn't cover manufacturer defects, their employees can't even recognize a defect when they see one, and apparently it doesn't cover if you sit on or drop the guitar either. Bottom line, the warranty is a gimmick to get you in the store. I know the low prices are tempting, but this store sucks to work with and sells cheap junk for instruments. read more

I've been to quite a few music stores around the valley and I was most unimpressed with this one. The store is messy and uninviting, there are no recognizable name brand instruments, and the ones they do carry don't seem to be very high quality. Whoever was working the desk didn't offer a greeting or any kind of help, and I had to stand directly in front of the register for a good 45 seconds before he noticed I was ready to purchase a strap. Lastly, my receipt was handwritten and completely scribbled, except for the words "NO RETURNS" that had been printed clearly and underlined. You would do much better to take your money elsewhere. read more
