Love supporting local and that's the best part of Guler's. They've been in the area for decades and know their stuff. They have a broad selection of appliances and mattresses, everything from value deals to high-end, top-of-the-line items. I needed a new dryer and Mitchell and Scott both were super helpful in helping me find the perfect one for my needs without being pushy at all. Super nice staff that care. They also offer professional installation (and hauling away the old appliance) for $99 which I think is a good deal. Just plan for at least a week out for that. I would leave 5 stars for Scott, sales, and for only one of the delivery guys, Brad. Unfortunately, the other one, Josh, was so obnoxious and vulgar. The one to watch out for and NEVER allow into your house is Josh. He was a little off-putting from the start, while Brad was very casual, respectful, and a good conversationalist. Josh is older than Brad, so you'd think he'd know how to behave; unfortunately, that wasn't the case. We had scratches on the appliance they were delivering, and I think this annoyed Josh. He became agitated and even more off-putting than when they first arrived. When called out on his rude behaviour, he yelled "go f*ck yourself" among other things, then proceeded to tell us how we were rude from the time of their arrival. I challenged him to name any time we had been rude. We were met with silence. I was able to name everything we did to try to make their job easier, move the furniture, move area rugs, hold doors open, etc. He still stayed silent. I assume he realized his behavior was out of control and unacceptable in a Guler's customer's house, but instead of being accountable, he tried, as hard as he could, to turn it onto us and justify his behavior. Brad, the nice, respectable delivery guy, stated to us that we had not been rude. I know he had to feel in the middle, and I'm sorry he has to work with Josh regularly. We ended up returning the appliance and getting a full refund, as we will NOT allow Josh back into our house. We don't even like the fact that he knows our phone number and address. He struck us as the retaliatory type. Andy was contacted immediately regarding this incident. No idea how he will be handling this, but Josh should not be allowed to have contact with any customers. He will destroy Guler's reputation. read more

Thus far, we have purchased a range hood, dishwasher, and refrigerator. (Refrigerator still on order and in transit.) We had to have the hood installed on our own, but the dishwasher was installed by Guler's. The service tech was freaky fast with install, and gone before our window for install closed (9am-12pm and he was done by 10:30am, after arriving around 9:30am). This included haul away of our old dishwasher. I've worked with two sales people, Greg and Mitch. Mitch went above and beyond to get us this fridge and I couldn't be happier (oh wait, yes I can--once I get it lol). We have a 1959 kitchen that we opted to rehab versus reno and as a result are limited to what size fridge we can have. (We did do some tweaks to the cabinets with their recommended handy person, Dan O'berg--highly recommend!) I think what stands out the most about Guler's is knowing they service my purchases. They ONLY service purchase customers. NGL, that's nice and "old school" and I'm here for it! I will never do business anywhere else as it pertains to home appliances. Next up: slide in range. And then, knock on wood, wayyyy down the line, W/D. I think they sell those, but not positive. read more

Would be a NEGATIVE 5. Very eager to say anything to get a check, credit card, cash and say just about anything. After you drop $1500 for dishwasher including 5 year all service and parts warranty and $200 for delivery and removal of the old one they decide to add on $25 for a dishwasher installation kit. After getting payment they tell us it will be 2 weeks for install even though they have 3 dishwashers currently. 1st one was delivered and install person scratched floor installing. Wired it up and started to smoke upon turning on. Went back to Guler's and got another one and same thing happened with the second. Said they will send their general contractor out to figure out the wiring. By now they used up all these dishwasher we paid for and had to wait for 3 weeks to get another. Before the contractor arrived Manager Andy said Guler's was paying for the contractor. After 3 weeks the dishwasher comes and install representative got this hooked up and worked. Finally. Then hands a bill to us for $250 and said it was us to pay for Guler's contractor. Called Guler's and Andy told us to Never ever come into that store again and tell all our friends and others to not come either. Everything is great until payment then Salesman Scott and Manger Andy turns their back. All this and to keep in mind that other appliances we got from Guler's was washer, dryer, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, etc. Within 2 years they have had to come out to repair or replace almost all of these. One of these the repair persond forgot to put in 4 or 5 screws on the dryer and it smoked and almost caught on fire. Usually takes about 2 weeks for them to get the parts and 2 weeks to get on their schedule. NEVER AGAIN AND PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THEM A PENNY. WORST BUSINESS CONDUCT I HAVE EVER HAD. read more

Really do not see the difference between them or their big store competitors, I want to support local businesses but nothing stands out or makes them special enough to justify my purchase experience. Ordered a washer and dryer, which was priced lower online thru Home Depot and Lowe's but decided on Them because they could deliver within the week. Called several times to check on my delivery and was told different things each time. Ended up receiving my units several weeks later. I am writing a second review for Guler, 6 months or so after my last review. This review is based on a service call today. These days, I don't have too much call for the words, trustworthy or reliable. They are not words that I would overuse in any case. However, in the case of Guler, they apply perfectly. We had a problem with two appliances that we bought several years ago. Dale Guler and his team addressed the issues swiftly and to our satisfaction. The key person here was Nathan, a service person who took the time to really understand what the problem was, and to address both issues until they were fixed. He also explained everything completely while being polite and respectful. We had bought all of our appliances for a new home from Guler a few years ago and we couldn't be happier with their recommendations, or with their follow up service. We are committed to buying all of our appliances in the future from Guler without hesitation. read more

Don't bother calling them for service. They had no problem 6 months ago coming to my house to fix my dishwasher and taking my money ($135) for doing absolutely nothing because they couldn't find the problem. They said to call back if the problem came back. And it did. And I called. But now they won't come because they have decided to change their policy to not service anything they didn't sell. I was honestly thinking about buying a new dishwasher from them but now I will for sure go somewhere else. read more

Not only did they deliver a dryer that was not in working order but they took it back that same day and the next day deliver the same non-working dryer again. Trying to support local business but after such poor service, I might as well go to the Big Box stores. read more

I had my new dryer delivered in Winnebago yesterday. The young men (I wish I had asked their names) that delivered it were kind, courteous, professional and communicative. I was so impressed. If you want customer service go somewhere else!!! In October 2016 I spent $4,500 on a Viking Range, not a cheap appliance! Shortly after it was delivered I began noticing problems. The fan was making a grinding noise, the temperature seemed to fluctuate tremendously, one batch of baking would overcook and the next batch would barely cook at all. Then the convection oven, the reason I bought it, was completely off. The left side of the pan would be brown and overbaked and the right side barely being baked at all. The whole point of a convection oven is even baking. They sent repairmen out who confirmed all of the problems and said they believed it was beyond their scope, but they could repair the fan (helpful, but not really). They spoke with Viking while they were here and it was suggested maybe I didn't know what I was doing (??? Just sold a restaurant and tea shoppe, did this for a living! Insulting the customer is not awesome...) I sent an email to our salesperson and the owner expressing my concern and hope for a fair resolution since it wasn't sounding promising when the repairmen left. Not only did I NOT hear from either of them, I received a phone call from "Mike" in the repair shop days later instructing me to call Viking myself and let them deal with it. I said, "Wouldn't it be best if you contacted them since you seem to have a better understanding of all that's wrong with it?" He said, "Nope, you need to call." And that was it. I have been dealing with Viking and not one follow up or acknowledgement from Guler's. As far as I am concerned I purchased this item from them and if it is not a working piece of equipment it is their responsibility to work with me, not pass the buck and ignore....which is what they have done. Hope they have enjoyed my $4,500 because they won't get another penny from me or anyone I can prevent from doing business with them. Common courtesy is free in case they didn't know that....very frustrated! It's January and I still have a Viking stove that mostly doesn't work. Even after Viking was here the items supposedly repaired still do not work and now they are going to put in a new "motherboard" and I am still sitting with a very expensive piece of junk in my kitchen. read more

Service department is ornery, rude, and disrespectful on the phone. Don't expect a friendly conversation as they appear to be inconvenienced by almost every service call they receive. The main front desk is very nice, but once patched through to the service department, be on guard. I shouldn't have to be afraid every time I call a company. Response to service calls is ok and they service the machines in a timely manner, but there is no customer service mindset. I have been cut off in conversation, yelled at and belittled all for requesting the service person to look up my past visit since the same part broke as last time. He rudely said "why would we keep that information". I don't know... Maybe because I am your CUSTOMER and I am trying to give you businesses. (I didn't say anything of the sort but wanted to). The service visits are pleasant, meaning the actual repair men are very nice, just had very bad experiences with the person on the phone every time I call. Cannot speak for the purchasing of new equipment at Guler, just the service department. read more

We bought a very expensive GE Profile stove and refrigerator. Installation was a nightmare. The installer had to come back 2 more times before the water quit leaking. Also, the installer refused to install the tip bar on the range. I called them when I started having trouble with the refrigerator. The man in service yelled at me over the phone. So I'm done with Guler and GE. This is a local business that chooses who they help or not. Not sure why I didn't qualify... I spent a lot of money there. Now I need fridge again, I'm going to a big box store. The service is more consistent. read more
