I called Monday and they were able to get me in at 4:30 on Tuesday.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've seen both of the vets here (i learned they are brothers) and both have been knowledgeable and helpful. Always answered all my questions and made me feel like my cat is in good hands. She had a toe ulcer and needed an antibiotic shot, wound cleaning, and a cone - i included a photo of the invoice for transparency. Some other reviews mentioned pricing as an issue, and although it wasnt a cheap visit ~ i dont think the prices are astronomical. Medical care and having pets in general is expensive, but it's definitely not the veterinarians fault. They also recommended we get "MiconaHex+Triz" wipes from amazon for some cat acne she had on her chin and recommended we switch to a ceramic or glass bowl to prevent bacterial growth. First time coming here. My girl pit bull (6 years old) was seen by Dr. Franklin. for possible UTI concerns. [[HIGHLIGHT]]AMAZING GUY !!! Had a great experience with gully today for my dogs dental! They were very understanding about the weather and actually got him done first since I was staying in the area (I live about 40 min away). No issues with communication, people in the office are very friendly, and I loved that they took and sent before and after pictures. Price is definitely reasonable and they broke down both the high and low end of the cost, and I think it actually ended up being less than the low end I was quoted. I went this morning for the booster, and the receptionist charged me for the booster. She said that there's no fee for the exam (she's not getting an exam). Critical: Professionalism Very cold. Two months ago my 14 year old dog had to be put down. They let one person in because of COVID. The room was cold and it was just me and the vet. My husband was not allowed in. I thought "this is ridiculous but it is what everyone is doing. WELL ITS NOT! My second dog also 14 years had to be put down yesterday. I called Roy Gully. They told me NO ONE is allowed in with their pet now. They wanted me to hand my dog off of 14 years to strangers and let her die by herself. Broke my heart! I said "no" I cannot do that to her. I called around and found the I-20 Animal Medical Center. They are open 24 hours. Both my husband and I were escorted into a family room with a warm feeling where you can say goodbye to your dog. The people were so nice! The vet was wonderful! The price was the same if not a little lower. I am upset I did not know about this place with my first dog. Shame on Roy Gully pandemic or not, our fur babies do not understand. They call themselves a "Vet" but are not very sensitive to the animal or families feelings. We just tried Gully animal Hospital for the first time yesterday. Our cat, Wallace, was experiencing some not so great symptoms, and after 24 hours of keeping an eye on him, we decided to take him in. Unfortunately, our regular vet did not have any availability, so when we received a recommendation for Gully, we thought we'd try them out. They were so wonderful and managed to fit us in same day! When we got there, they were very busy, but still were extremely thorough and kind. The vet really took the time to talk to us and explain what she was seeing on the X-rays, as well as clearly communicated her thoughts for next steps. We had to go back this morning, and we saw a different vet who was just as wonderful. We will absolutely be back here for all future Veterinary needs! I also want to give a shout out to Lauren, who is one of their technicians (and office managers, I think). She is an ANGEL. I really can't say enough wonderful things about her. She's so gentle and loving with the animals and is an absolute pleasure to speak with. Overcharged with no explanation I decided to call the manager when we got home I was put on hold for 10 minutes then found out they had no manager today. Very expensive for minimal amount of service and exam. Will never go there again!! They do not explain truthfully what they are charging for and the front desk is not on duty to provide customer service. I needed to take my pup to the vet as soon as possible and thankfully Gully ALWAYS has availability. My regular vet didn't have openings till a couple of weeks so I went onto Gully's website and I was able to get an appointment the next day. They were super sweet and patience since it was my first time being there. Tex was a bit scared at first but after going into the room he was relaxed, the veterinarian Katie was also very nice and generous to him and me. Super gentle with Tex which I appreciated deeply. I was prepared to go in and pay about $400-$500 but I only ended up paying half of that so it wasn't expensive at all. i'm pretty upset with gully. i've had okay experiences here but more unpleasant experiences than good ones. my cat got spayed today and i would have loved to know before the fact that she would need to stay overnight. gully has awful communication issues and it shows at every visit. whether it be a lack of information, charging me for an e collar when i literally brought my own, or scheduling me at one time and not a soul coming into the room until i've been in the room for 50 minutes. there's been more than 2 occasions that i set an appointment time with them and they verbally CONFIRM it with me and still send me an email confirmation with the wrong appointment time. They suck and i would rather give my money to people who care to tell their clients what the hell is going on. WORK ON YOUR COMMUNICATION. if you don't read anything i've said, then at least read that last sentence. read more

Still, in this case, the people who use Gully Animal Hospital in Arlington, Texas, have the right to know how badly we have been treated and the staff's incompetence at the Arlington Veterinarian Clinic. We lost our dog a couple of weeks ago. I was out of town, and my wife was alone. She called Gully in a panic to try and get her in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The receptionist was rude and lacked compassion and caring.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our dog was sent to heaven that night. I won't go over everything she said, but what a disgrace. Dr. Franklin was great, but the office staff needs to be more efficient and aware. As of 9-22-2024, they recently sent us home with the wrong prescription for our puppy. Our dog has been experiencing diarrhea since Monday morning. Our initial visit was fine. I filled the form for being there first time. They called us to get weight and put us in a room. The initial woman was nice. Then the doctor comes in with a teenager that I think is the technician. After talking to doctor, she suggested that I do blood work and diagnostic tests. All that totaled 315 usd. I agree since it is our only dog and, as you know we love our pet. The visit took a complete 360 turn the moment they brought fluffy back from blood work. They took him away and less than 3 min they are back and IMMEDIATAELY our dog is visibly going to the right and falling. Even the woman that brings him back notices it and says what happened. He is clearly not right because his back right leg has no strength. He almost seemed drunk and going to the side right away as if his leg was broken or injured. At this point, I am getting extremely concerned so I opened the back door and asked to speak to nurse. The nurse came back and told me that all they did was to take blood from him and that was it. She stood there and watched him with me and although noticing the difference, there was not much she said after that other than "we just sat him down to take his blood". She even offered to give him an inflammatory medication at no charge. ** I was not asking for free nor I'm looking for free service, I'm just bothered and concerned that I came here to treat the diarrhea my dog is having and only to leave with another problem because it is clear that he can't even stand on his own. Call it coincidence or whatever but this is not right After nurse came back and left, the technician or assistant took a complete approach to me. Although I am looking at my dog concerned, there she is with her credit card machine as if all she cared about was for me to pay and leave quickly and no more questions regarding the issue. Obviously, I still have a lot of questions but her demeanor at this time is negative. He face says it all. She went over the medication so fast, clearly not happy and her intent at this time is to rush me out of there. In my mind, I am still having a hard to time understanding what is going on with our dog. I told her that I needed diagnostic paper work to see what they found and or suggest (the typical paper work that you get when you visit a doctor). I immediately showed my frustration and discontent about this place as I am walking out that I called you as I am driving back home. I am not sure if this a normal routine at this place or if this is how you treat your customers but this is not right. People do not come in for a diarrhea and expect to leave limping and not standing dog. This is not normal. On top of that, if you dare to show your frustration, you will be treated as an unwelcomed person. This was obviously not a positive experience for me and I do want to people to read this as this can also happen to them. If you love your dog or pet, be extra careful. Horrible. I had my recent rescue in for bloodwork, she came back positive for heart worms. Not a surprise. The vet called me about 10 days later asking that I bring her back in they were getting false positives from the lab. Ok I brought her back same result positive. Here's my issue I was charged again for a heart worm test .. I asked the tech checking me out why ? She said that was the lab not us.. so 1. They don't stand behind their labs work??? Why would they continue to use that lab? and 2. The tech was extremely rude ! She just kept saying MA'ME MA'ME...I couldn't even get a word in.. so bottom line I paid twice for the same test they didn't stand behind the first time and I paid for someone to be blatantly rude and unprofessional so they would hand my animal back over.. crazy! Came in today after calling 6 other vets in the area. The reasons why I turned down the other vets was because I wanted a place with a relatively low consultation fee, and be able to bring in my dog Bella today. I called Gully's at 12:03 p.m, asked what their consultation fee was and it was $45 with 25% off for new clients (making it the cheapest out of the 7 total calls I made). Then I asked if they accepted walk ins, and the woman on the phone said yes but their appointments are prioritized first. She was able to set up an appointment for me at 12:30 p.m., and told me I had till 1:00 p.m. to arrive there. Bella was hit by a car last night, but luckily managed to leave the scene with only reddening in her right eye and a cut next to it. I made the call not to take her to the ER after observing her and googling symptoms of internal bleeding. Physically aside from the cut, she seemed perfectly fine. Although I still wanted to make sure her cut was properly treated and to get checked out just incase. I got there at 12:30, didn't have to wait very long to get assisted. Dr. Franklin was fast and prompt. Bella ended up needing stitches and had to be sedated to do so. I was given some medicine and pain killers to give to her daily also. I didn't hear anything about the cost till it was time to pay, which sort of bothered me but I was glad to see that the total didn't exceed $200. My total came out to be $175.69. I was going to pay whatever the amount either way, but it'd be nice to know the costs before doing any procedure. Just in case I didn't bring enough/have enough money or something along those lines. Nonetheless, the fact that I was able to get Bella treated so quickly right after making the call to Gully's blew me away. The whole process took about an hour and 15 minutes. read more

I've been bringing my dog here since 2016, even after we moved out of the area. I travel a lot, thus necessitating boarding and making sure vaccinations are up-to-date. He's always been terrified of the place (I boarded him here, once, and he's been leery ever since), but the staff have normally been kind and efficient. He had a routine exam for vaccinations on July 7th. As usual, Cooper started shaking once we crossed the threshold. We waited in a room for a really long time, which amped up his anxiety. He was finally seen, we checked out and went home. That afternoon, I received an alert from Gully that Cooper was due for more vaccinations by August 5th. Really?!? Less than a month away and not ONE of the four people I dealt with that day could've mentioned this?!?!? Well played, Gully - you sure know how to rack up those "exam" charges. (The exam is a joke, anyway. They glance at his teeth and listen to his heart jack-hammering away from anxiety). Today, the appointment took over 50 minutes and we had less than 5 minutes face time with the vets and techs. I expressed my disappointment in them gouging us for an additional exam, which was met by each person with a shrug and "Eh - whaddya gonna do?" attitude. Terribly disappointing. Brought in my Molly and she had a heart worm test (it was negative). But when we left, we can tell Molly was feeling bad but we didn't know what it what. Two days later we saw bruises and blood spots under the skin, we brought her back. They said nothing they can do, not even a sorry!The nurse did a poor job poking her veins. I take my grumpy mastiff and my two kitties to Gully since my former vet in Southlake quit private practice, and have been very pleased with them. Dr. Kirkpatrick is my regular vet but I've seen Dr. Franklin also when Dr. K has been out of the office. I don't think I've seen any of the other vets here so can't really say. My mastiff is rather injury prone and keeps having to go in, and they always fix him up well and usually for less money than I'm expecting it will be. They've always been able to get him in very quickly for an appointment, usually same day or next day. I've never had to wait when it's been an 'emergency'. Dr. Kirkpatrick is very accommodating to my scaredy-dog, and is as minimalistic and non-threatening with him as she can be, and Brownie's gotten to the point where he tolerates her care pretty well. Dr. Franklin has a more "direct" approach (meaning, he didn't care that Brownie was growling at him but insisted on petting him anyway so they "didn't leave on a bad note". My cats *knock on wood* generally just need routine care but everything's always gone well here for them. Their prescription prices for things like heartworm medicine are surprisingly competitive. Brownie's heartworm pills are significantly cheaper now than when he went to other vets. I'm actually surprised at reviews calling them pricy (maybe compared to Banfield? But not compared to other vets) and I've never felt rushed here. The office is always clean and attractive and the techs are very nice too. read more

The customer service Lisa is very rude upon answering my inquiries. I basically asked her the fee they charge for the problem they did not fix first time. She raised her voice told me my cat's condition progressed to something different which need different treatment plan, I know it is not true she did not see my cat, I was the one with her for 10 days after first vet visit, the symptom is the same. I took my cat there for upper respiratory infection thought one antibiotic shot would do the job as I had the same problem before took her to my old vet, problem solved. So this time at gully, we have to go back another time for the same problem as nothing improved. The policy of requiring a scan of one's drivers license (not just to see it as proof of identity to use a debt/credit card) is ridiculous! There is no legitimate reason to keep a customers identity on file! This increases a customers risk of having their identity stolen. My weenie dog was playing with his sister, a lab, when he suddenly cried and stopped moving. He wouldn't put any weight on his front arm so I thought it was broken and knew I needed to get him to a vet but this was a Saturday night and I refused to go to one of those emergency places that are open 24hrs because from past experience, they charge $2000 for doing basically nothing. I looked at all the vets in the Euless, Hurst, Bedford areas but none were open on Sundays. Thankfully, I found Gully's website that said there were open on Sundays! I didn't even care that they were a 25 minute drive from my house. I called first thing Sunday morning and they were able to get me in at 1pm. The office was clean and nice looking and the front desk was very friendly. The technician was so kind and Dr. Shank seemed smart. Turns out my dog had dislocated his elbow and the vet had to pop it back in. He's back to normal now. For the exam, x-rays, an injection of doggy morphine, and two different types of medication, the cost was about $200 which really isn't bad. Just wow! Overall outstanding place. So long story short my dog got lost and ran over his leg and never thought I would see him again. Neighbors across the highway have found him, and this happened on a Saturday. We looked around everywhere for any location open on Sunday's, and this is your place! They even offer 25% your first visit. I tried to place an appointment immediately but it was booked until Tuesday, but we called and they squeezed us in at 12pm for Sunday! (So always call for an appointment, they offer walk ins but this place is never not busy) Then even longer story short the surgeon was on vacation and everyone told us our dog's leg would have to get amputated. They even offered us other doctors that use to work there for a more affordable price. We checked in with them but they all said the same answer. Until we finally waited for the surgeon to come back and he simply amputated his toes. Saving my dog's leg. The staff is amazing. They really do care about you and your babies! Took my boy in after noticing that he was very stiff and not able to move, was not eating or drinking very much. We had no idea what was wrong. After whimpering all night Saturday, we had to do something. Found this place and was able to get in. Doctor Brad Franklin examined him and thought is was an injury to his back or neck. Prescribed anti inflammatory and pain med and said to give it 7-10 days. Did not ask for pricey blood work or X-rays. Saved me hundreds. He was right. The best experience thus far with a veterinarian. I was concerned by dog had an infection and the three other vets I called either did not answer or had nothing available until four days from the day I called. Gully first off answered the phone and scheduled my Golden same day, 1.5 hours from the time I called. We get there and the entire staff absolutely loves dogs and is incredibly friendly (I am sure they love cats too, I didn't see any of those nasty fur creatures while I was there). Crazy part, they call us back to a room ON TIME. Vet assistant comes in almost immediately, gets our info and says the Dr. will be in shortly. Less than five mins Dr. Gully comes in, looks my Golden over, gives the diagnosis and treats my dog and we go home. If you are looking for a good vet then look no further, this is the place. read more
