Pretty much just a terrible company. Yes they have parts, yes they are at insurance cost.. and yes this is a junk yard, expect junk yard management. They Lies, cheat and steal your money! I bought an engine from Gundies, and had it installed at a trusted ASE certified shop. After spending $1000 on the engine and another $1400 in labor, the engine was leaking coolant all over the floor. They would not refund my money, and blamed it on the shop I had been going to for 15 plus years. Not only do they have horrible quality control, but they do not have integrity and are not honest business people. Lastly, their staff was rude and overpriced the engine (there were competing garages selling the same engine for $600, but theirs had "lower" mileage. I check up the VIN in car fax, and the engine had 220k miles instead of the 113k they listed. AVOID GUNDIES AT ALL COST! They LIE, CHEAT, AND STEEL YOUR MONEY. Gundies has a huge selection of parts, which is great for the body shop I work for. What's not great is the parts continuously being delivered in terrible condition (though being said to be at least B quality), or flat out wrong. I got charged $20 for shipping and invoiced for a left tail light, but was delivered a right side one. Asked for a front door on an extended cab truck, received a door for a regular cab truck. Those two examples are thing that have happened just in the last MONTH. Your only job is to get me the correct part I ask you for, in the condition I asked for. And they can't even do that. If an insurance company tells me to order a part from Gundies in the future, I will refuse. read more

I called to see if they were interested in taking my car for scrap or salvage since the engine didn't have compression anymore, and I had the strangest interaction which led to the man hanging up on me. I waited all weekend to get a hold of this place, just for one of the rudest phone interactions of my life. I found a part for my car on Gundies site for 124.00 I phoned to see about getting it and the person named Dion who answered the phone was about the rudest person I have ever encountered. He quoted me 100.00 more then what was listed on line and when I told him his price on line was less he said to bad I wont sell it to you for that i started to ask another question and he slammed the phone down. I phoned back a equally rude employee answered the phone. Great selection- Had 2 different Ram trucks with broken back windows. I couldn't find them anywhere. Gundies hooked me up and at a great price. I needed a tailgate for my Jeep Patriot, I found Gundie's on the internet. They had exactly what I needed but it was in Bellingham, a long way from where I am in Oregon. They took it to their Battleground facility at no extra charge, where I picked it up, a perfect part! Correct color, saved me a lot of money! ($1400 less than a local body shop wanted). I had never heard of Gundie's until a month ago. While trying to get some hard to find parts, a local dealership suggested I give them a call. I called and spoke with Ian Smith. He said he had the parts in stock, but due to the lateness of the hour, he would need to call me back the following day. I never heard from Ian the following day, so I called the day after. He confirmed he had the parts, charged my card and advised me that I would have the parts the very next day. The parts didn't come the next day, or the day after, so I called Ian and was told that it had been busy and the parts hadn't shipped , but they would ship that day and I'd have them the following day. Again, the parts didn't come the next day or the day after so I called back and Ian advised me that UPS mistakenly shipped to the wrong address. I asked for the tracking number and he said, Don't worry, I'll handle this and have it re-routed to you and you should have it day after tomorrow. Several days later I called after I still had no parts. I spoke with Bob, general manager and he said his policy was for his people to fix their own issues. Before I could advise Ian was the issues, Bob had put him back on the phone. Ian immediately cut into me telling me it wasn't his fault and I wasn't going to chew him out. I didn't call to chew anyone out. I called to find out exactly why he has dropped the ball a half dozen times and what his manager was going to do about it. I also said if it's UPS's fault, I want my shipping charges reversed, matter of fact now that it was weeks since the single day promised, I just want the shipping reversed regardless of who's fault It was. Ian said, "How about I refund you and get the parts back". I asked how that helped either one of us and advised him at the point of charging my card, we were in a contract that we BOTH had to agree to dissolve. He said he would have the package re-routed to me and I would have it in two days, again I refused the tracking details. I took it upon myself to contact UPS, they advised that they had no shipments in this time from that zip code to my zip code 90 miles away, and no shipments to the incorrect zip code Ian claimed it shipped to. Both Ian and Bob showed how a lack of service and most likely education can negatively impact your business and reputation. They asked why I was making suck a big deal for $200. It's because I wanted what I paid for and if it's only $200, why didn't you behaving like true adults and after weeks of not following through on one action, why didn't you refund the money and still deliver the parts. That's what top shelf service is. Well, at least you know what to expect from Gundie's and it isn't service. Some guy named Dan "helped us" and when I asked a question about what was included in the price, he looked at me like I was an idiot and responded in a very condescending way. Not sure if he is a sales person, but if so he failed in most regards to good selling... I would know as I make about half a million a year in cybersecurity software sales and teach courses on the subject. Always easy to identify when someone behaves in a way that exhibits personal insecurity and a superiority complex. DECEMBER 8TH After careful discussion with the sales rep in Battle Ground I thought the explaintion on my end about the parts I needed was clear and understood. I was promised these parts would be in before the end of the week from Bellingham and would be called to come get them. DECEMBER 11TH Called and left two messages regarding whereabouts of ordered parts. No response DECEMBER 14TH Called again leaving messages inquiring about parts. No response DECEMBER 16TH Drove up to get my long overdue parts after finally reaching someone by phone early that morning. They told me half of my order had been sitting in the bin since the previous week but nobody was informed they were there. I get there AND theses are not the window brackets I had gone to great lengths to explain and verify all understood but the regulators. Now, before I paid the $150 some dollars for said parts, the shop they came from was called to VERIFY they had both and they were in good condition. I only received one. Only sending half the order, I expected half my money should have been refunded once they figured out their issue. Not knowing (apparently) that the financial company I had used to pay with does real time automatic posting to accounts they told me the refund had been posted and it was the banks hold up. Gundies waited until the 17Th to refund the first half of my cash and as of the 22nd of DECEMBER I am still waiting for the rest. I understand I was a small order for these guys, and on a pretty rare part, but the total clusterphuck from start to still no end is frustrating and disgusting. Tell me to piss off and wait, whatever but don't lie to me while also trying to constantly pass the buck. I probably won't see the last $70 some dollars they are "in process" of refunding now for some time but oh well... I've seen that a lot of people have rated these guys poorly so I wanted to take the time to write a positive review. I order TONS of parts from these folks for a large body shop in the NW. I always get great service, and great parts at REASONABLE costs! I was in need for a v10 in my 15 year old truck, and they found me an engine with 20k on it. They delivered from Bellingham to BattleGround for easy pick up. The motor was clean and as listed. I had zero problems purchasing or returning my core. Jeff took great care of me and the product was put nicely onto a pallet and not tossed in the back of some truck like other vendors. These guys are one of my 3 calls I have to make to source parts. I wish I could give them a zero stars. Had to deal with them in regards to an engine. Was told it was already pulled and on a shelf so it should ship the next day. I waited until the second day and then called back. The person Ian who I talked to was too busy to talk to me but had another employee tell me he promised it would be out the following day. The next day it does not arrive and I call back again. He was too busy to take the call so another employee had to talk to me and played ignorant of the entire thing. I told him he said it was pulled and was to have arrived two days prior. I can leave now to pick it up. Suddenly the engine was on their truck but the truck broke down and it would be another day. That makes it four days for a next day delivery. The fourth day I called in the AM and was told it was on the way and I was the first stop. Yeah, well then why four hours later when I call back I am told it was on the truck and the truck was about to leave? I said I would pick it up but was told it was too late as it was already loaded. No surprise when it didn't show up that day either. Ian, the numerous other employees and their manager who I was also lied to by can shove that entire wrecking yard up their collective asses. In my opinion they are liars. From my experience I view them as unprofessional, untrustworthy, con men who also over charge. A week after ordering the engine it suddenly arrives. By then I had already called Budget Auto Wrecking in Everett, WA and not only got the engine the SAME DAY but they also charged a couple hundred dollars less. read more

I recently called Gundies to inquire about headlight assembly replacements for a Toyota Camry. Gundies is an auto recycler that removes parts from wrecked cars and re-sells them. The person on the phone (Clay) said they had the parts and that I would have to pay for them in full before they would be removed from the salvaged vehicle. With this in mind I inquired as to how much of the assembly is included when they remove it from the vehicle. Headlight assemblies can be dismounted from a vehicle in such a way to include or exclude certain parts so my inquiry was very valid. The person I was talking with (Clay) was a complete cad over the phone. His reply was simply, "it's unbolted". What does that tell anyone? I reiterated that I was curious as how much of the assembly was unbolted. He cut me off and again replied dryly, "It's unbolted". The quoted price was $100 each for used parts that I had to pay for before even examining them. This on top of being treated as an idiot for asking any questions of "CADious Clay". I would pay twice the price before giving this establishment my business. As it is, I found them brand new on line for $105.00 each. Asked all kinds of questions that were gladly answered. I get it that the reps aren't able to answer every question a person might have, but being obnoxiously rude and condescending in inexcusable. It definitely cost them a couple of hundred bucks today. Don't buy the junk these guys sell. They make you pay for your parts without seeing them, for good reason. The pump they got me looked more like it spent 20 years on the ocean floor than being in 'good shape' as described by the sales guy. I tested it when I got home and to their credit it did work, but made some awful noises. But when I went to put it in my car... it didn't fit. There were two different mounting brackets for this same production year in my car so I was very specific about needing the later, 2nd style and was repeatedly assured this would fit. It doesn't. Guys make you feel like your in good hands. You aren't. Save yourself the trouble and go to Bham Auto Parts or partsgeek. Now they're trying to charge me a hefty 30% restocking fee for their mistake! I went to gundies in graham, WA. Looking for a set of genuine Toyota alloys wheels for my 06 corolla. The front office there said that all the Toyota inventory was at the Bellingham yard. That was disappointing since I already drove 60 miles to that location. They said they had a full set up in Bellingham. Bingo. 90 dollars each no problem. I drove up there a couple of days later from Poulsbo WA. I asked if I could look at the set wheels they had They said No. Just a picture on the Computer screen. Summary of experience. Called re: a quarter panel. 12/2/13 returned the cut-sheet that was sent to me, called to follow-up part not cut asked can they send a picture to confirm cut location is good, responded yes, advised me that car had to be drained & they have to do what they need to do Clay advised well it's our fault for the delay because we took a few hours to respond (days ago.) re: the location of the cut. Advised that it should not have delayed anything when we went back & forth on the phone & we sent a cut sheet as to the area we wanted the cut made. (very sarcastic & lax-a-daisy attitude.) On 12/9 called to follow-upto confirm that the part has been cut & shipped. Part was suppose to be cut & shipped for delivery 12/13. Clay began to to make excuses as if again it was our fault that the cut had not been made. When I corrected him on his statements he just said well try to get it done asap. Called on 12/11/13 Part still not cut, 12/12/13 called to follow-up again part had been cut and will go out today. 12/13/13 Org scheduled delivery date. Spoke with Clay frustrated with my call, will ask his shipping guy for the information & call back. Called back and said it shipped and will be here Monday. 3:05 Monday 12/16 called Clay advised me it is the same status as last week. Asked what is that reminded him of our conversation & then he said well the day is not over, it should be there before the end of the day. Asked for Carrier and tracking # will call his shipping guy & call me back. Called me back said"they were about as helpful as me. The part left the Sac dock & is out with the driver. Driver does not have a phone to call to check status." I don't know to many freight companies that don't have CB's in there truck or drivers that don't have phones. If they didn't already have my money & I was able to find the part elsewhere I would have not done business with them. As a first time customer and business owner myself I am very disappointed with the service that I received. O, I must say Judi was very pleasant & professional as she processed my payment. read more
