New favorite lunch spot! I know this chain has been around for some time now, but I recently discovered how amazing it is and I've been obsessed ever since I took my first bite. It's a fast-casual vibe offering delicious protein bowls, wraps, and salads. My favorites are the Chipotle Mango Avocado and the Ginger Lime Peanut bowls. I usually stick with grilled chicken and brown rice, but sometimes I'll get the shrimp and a half lettuce - half rice base. Honestly, all of their flavors are incredible! Now, don't even get me started on their sweet potato chips and queso on the side. The chips come complimentary with any bowl, wrap or salad, and now they even offer their new BBQ flavor. The original is still my favorite, but the BBQ is great too. The original seasoning is just out of this world, and if you like BBQ flavor I highly recommend trying them. I didn't even know I liked sweet potato chips until I tried them. They are crunchy, and the perfect mix of sweet and salty. Their queso is the perfect pair for the chips, and it's truly some of the best queso I've ever had (which I really didn't expect). I love having the ability to quickly grab something healthy, filling, and fresh!

    Bone chunk.

I have to say, I like everything I've eaten here. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it's the second time I found a big bone chunk in my bowl. I almost swallowed it.

I'm so obsessed with their umami tofu it's THE BEST! Absolutely delicious vegetarian options! Free parking at Avalon (the deck beside Whole Foods is closest). I also always get extra sauce and never charged for it which is nice! The restaurant is always clean and staff is quick and helpful. Great place for a quick healthy dinner!

The ginger lime peanut bowl was exactly what I was looking for ... something HEALTHY and DELICIOUS! It came with cucumbers and red peppers along with carrot and sprout pieces. The brown rice and sauce coming on the side kept me on track as far as staying healthy. The sauce IS very good though and has a subtle zing. The chicken seemed to be a mix of both dark and white chicken and I wish there was an alternative to the sweet potato chips. Chips and still fried... you're not fooling me I was served right away by friendly staff and they had upbeat "shopping" music playing, keeping in line with the Avalon atmosphere. The place was exceptionally clean with staff cleaning the floors and tables constantly. I only gave 4 out of 5 stars because the price is a little high. $15 after a $1 tip is kinda steep since I don't eat chips so will be giving those away and most of the meal is rice. Also - I find this all over, so not Gusto's fault, but the checkout almost forces you to tip 15% or more since the staff is smiling in your face while they show you the screen to sign and 15% is the lowest amount (unless you tip nothing or edit a custom amount). I really wish they would get rid of those things, but I certainly get it. Overall - GREAT PLACE FOR QUICK LUNCH.

Things you should know: I. LOCATION Within the Avalon. There's a massive & free private parking lot out front of the restaurant. II. SERVICE Quick III. QUALITY We're raving fans of the freshness and flavor in all the dishes here. I recommend trying the unami tofu. After living in Chamblee and West Midtown, often going to those nearby branches, we're happy to see there's one at the Avalon by our new house. We will definitely be going here A LOT. IV. CAPACITY Plenty of available seating for a Thursday evening

I love that Avalon has options like Gusto! for shoppers who want something relatively quick -- and healthy at the same time. I'm a huge fan of the bowls craze - today I tried their "Ginger Lime Peanut" based on the staff recommendation. She said most popular is the "Chipotle Mango Avocado" but her personal favorite is the Thai bowl. She didn't steer me wrong - very fresh, delicious & tasty! GINGER LIME PEANUT - $10.95 I did 1/2 and 1/2 (brown rice + mixed greens) for my base, and picked grilled chicken for my protein. The bowl also includes red bell pepper, cabbage, cucumber, carrots, scallions & roasted peanuts tossed in a lime vinaigrette. It also comes with ginger peanut dressing on the side which made the salad even more extra tasty! All the veggies were super fresh. The bowls also include a bag of sweet potato chips which were a great complement too! Overall super impressed. Staff were super nice too. I'd read mixed reviews for some of the other Gusto locations but this one has rave reviews - I will definitely come back for my next Avalon shopping trip!

Stopped for lunch after a Doctors appointment. Parking was very hard to find which is nothing new at Avalon. The restaurant was nice and clean, they were busy for lunch but they had plenty of open tables. I opted to get my food to go, U ordered the grilled spicy chicken 1/2 brown rice and salad Mediterranean bowl. It was as delicious as the first time I tried it. The bowl looks small but I had a hard time finishing the entire thing. All the ingredients were fresh, the chicken had a nice spicy flavor and the avocados were creamy. I was glad to have given this restaurant a try for a second time.

Looking at the other reviews, people really love Gusto! in the Avalon. I bought a Taziki Chicken Bowl for a family member. She said that it tasted average at best. She said that the Boar's Head salads she purchases at Publix taste better than the Gusto! bowl or salad. I grabbed a can of Recess blackberry chai hemp infused sparkling water, because I thought it looked unique and my family member might enjoy trying it. I wasn't paying close attention, but when it rang up, the cost was $6 for one can. Later I went online to do some research and apparently a six pack of this beverage can cost around $50. The beverage is supposed to help you relax. So, while the place appears all cool and trendy with its corner location in the Avalon, the taste of the food didn't wow my family. Therefore, we probably won't be back anytime soon.

Great food and customer service. Taste a lot like Chipotle, but their queso is much better than Chipotle's. The chocolate chip cookie was soooooo good! I would literally go back just for that! Haha

I enjoyed my visit to gusto! located in Avalon. It has a very interesting concept. You can choose from a preset list of mixed sauces. I liked how they have pictures of each one which helped in my decision-making. Then you choose your protein. And lastly, you pick your base between rice, mixed greens, 1/2 and 1/2, or flatbread wrap. We chose the Chipotle Mango Avocado and Chile Sesame BBQ with grilled chicken and a 1/2 and 1/2 base. They mark down your order then prepare it fresh. The one thing I wish was that they had a glass counter so you can watch as they prepare your meal. Both meals tasted really great. The flavors all went together so well. And I'm glad they offered a 1/2 and 1/2 option. I think each offers a different experience for the meal. Parking can be a little limited at peak hours. But you can always park a little further away and make the walk. Or if you're already shopping at Avalon, even better. Be sure to give them a try!

Upon heading home from the pottery barn and all that jazz about home furnishing. We stopped off to get something healthier to eat. This place hit it right on the head. The many is laid out like a poke bar, your base, your proteins, and your fluff. Really really tasty morsels and the greatest hit was that with every meal you get a small paper bag of WARM freshly made sweet potato chips....

There was a football game on so we kinda looked at it from time to time. Even though it was my birthday the restaurant didn't do anything for me. Didn't like it so we know we wont be ordering that again. The food was ok, nothing to complain about there. I don't know why I didn't take a picture but I had the B&B Burger with smoked bleu cheese. Coming into it, around early dinner time hour, it was fair to say a slow evening for a Saturday. This provided us a fair chance to be able to not feel rushed during this experience. Server and food runners were on point. Server knew the menu and what to suggest as popular meals and what his favorites were. He also informed us that food was made from scratch and the ribs were already sold out! Bummer as that would've been a go to choice! The restaurant it self seemed cleaned and a sleek look to it. The atmosphere felt like a casual new age, better, slightly more upscale and elegant version of Applebees, if that makes sense. Homey vibe but elegantly casual? Off rip I ordered a sweet tea which was phenomenal. It tasted like it has a slight peach undertone to it, and it was the right amount of sweet. I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp as my appetizer and the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and brussels (I dont like coleslaw). I was told the bacon wrapped shrimp was a new menu item. For $19? They were cool. The fried chicken was really good. It was still steaming hot inside, when I took my first bite. The chicken was tender and had a good crunch to it. The brussels were okay. I typically like a more sweet glaze on my brussels but they did the job. I liked the mashed potatos, they were a little runny; the gravy made up for that though. I'm not a biscuit person but the biscuit that came with this meal was very soft, fluffy, moist, and had butter throughout. It was a bummer the only choices of hot sauce available were Tabasco and Cholula. I usually like Texas Pete, Crystal, or Louisiana hot sauce in my chicken. I WILL say, the monkey bread was SOOOOO good. So soft, warm, with apples and vanilla ice cream. If I knew it was this good I would have ordered 2 to go. Ultimately everything my was good, I had a great experience, and lots of leftovers.
