Me and my girlfriend went in today right when they opened. We tried the chicken shawarma, and even though the price is now $16 instead of $12, it was absolutely worth it. The portion was HUGE. When I heard our food was ready and saw the plate, I was like, "WOWWW, that's a big shawarma!" It barely even fit on the plate. While we were waiting for our food, I actually saw the owner bringing in fresh ingredients that had just been delivered. Seeing that right away gave us a good feeling about the place, and it was a nice sign that they care about quality and freshness. After tasting the food, it definitely showed. The chicken was flavorful, tender, and cooked perfectly. There was also tomato and lettuce in the Shawarma the French fries were crispy and paired really well with the meal. Everything tasted fresh, and the portion size definitely made the price feel justified. The service was also very good. Everyone was nice, polite, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Where have all the good shwarma and gyro street food places gone??? Well, this one is still here! Yaaaayyyy!! They have burgers of course but the additional delights on the menu include chicken strips, onion rings, falafel, greek and gyros salads or plates. This is a very family friendly place too if you're into taking the kids to clean fast food joints with simple yet effective diner tables and chairs. Heck, why not? Less cleanup right? We had 2 gyros, and fries.. simple.. and they did not disappoint! The sandwich ingredients were fresh and well constructed. I had sauce in every bite, and a fresh splash of tomato to match it... pure poetry of past greek town fast food escapades. Our fries were hot, crispy, and enough to share. We absolutely love this place! The food is excellent! Tonight we ordered the chicken kabob plate which comes with rice, hummus, pita bread and a salad and tons of FRESH COOKED chicken. The chicken was perfectly cooked and not at all. Also tried the falafel again and it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect! This was too costly $38.93 My boyfriend ordered: Vegetarian Platter (No grape leaves, no babaghanouj) Falafel Wrap (Garden salad w/ some falafel thrown inside) Baklava (tiny squares that equal 2 bites) The food was extremely bland without any sauces or spices. The rice tasted like nothing yellow rice. Maybe we got the leftover lunch special before dinner starts. Excellent service and delicious food! I bought food for 50 people, every was delighted and there was plenty!

My daughter and I absolutely love coming here. The food is great and it's a family friendly environment with tons of options for the most picky eaters (like her) lol. My fav is the chicken kabob and it even comes with hummus and pita bread. Her fav so far is the kids cheeseburger and fries. She loves that she can customize her burger with her own selection of toppings from the bar. Food is so good it made her dance lol. Great service every time. The price for the burgers ranged from 13-17$, which I initially thought was pricy but given the size of the burger made sense. Came with fries too. Burgers were really good. Decent Mediterranean fare. My gyro was well made and tasted great. The fries were cooked properly, but they got a smattering of pixie dust flavoring and no shake... so you'd get one "standard" French fry and then there'd be one that was doused with the seasoning and it was just too intense to enjoy. I did not get a burger, but I saw a bunch go by and they looked well assembled. Next time I will try the lamb chops as they looked particularly awesome when an order went by. Bathroom was pleasantly clean with a good stock of consumables. For me, I was staying at the Alpharetta Aloft, the restaurant is very near and much better than out-lot chain fare. Express Burger & Mediterranean Grill as the name implies serves up the Americano familiar and traditional Middle Eastern at reasonable "your $s matter here" prices. I don't usually eat burgers but the meat is very juicy and tasty... you can always add as much as you want tomatoes, onions, lettuce from the salad Bar... They also have the best baklava's in GA. I want to like this place so much. But I've been here - total of 3 times. And I loved the burgers every time. First time, that night my stomach hurt so much I was in the bathroom for hours. Second time, I didn't get sick. Third time I didn't get sick, but friend is having stomach pains for the past two days since eating it. Express burger if you're reading this, I LOVE your food, but PLEASE CHECK YOUR HYGIENE. I'm so done with me and others getting sick after eating here. [TL;DR] Place is experiencing some growing pains. Off to a decent start. It's different. I love seeing the slow, steady growth of restaurants in the Alpharetta sector -- especially when you're talking about hummus and chicken shawarma. This joint uses a fusion food concept that I guess seems to work well since there are certain crossover foods like french fries that go with wraps and burgers. If you make your way here to the active strip mall this restaurant is nuzzled in, just look for the DSW. It's to the right of it. Make sure to observe the daily special. It was the original burger when I was there. I asked for it medium-well but got it well-done so it might be wise to go one under your normal preference -- at least until they work out their kinks. The chicken shawarma wrap was tastier, and in my opinion, a better choice than the burger, but hey, I experiment with food for you, my readers -- a completely selfless act. ;-) They have a full compliment of fixings for your burger at a self-serve station. It's perfect because they have jalapenos you can ladle on to everything. Anyway, if you're in the area, it's worth checking out. I can see this place being popular for its daily specials with some of the local businesses. For me though, it's not so good I'd make a special trip nor convenient enough to drop by for lunch. read more

This place is HALAL!! My family only eats halal, and so they really liked this place, and will be back to try the many other options on the menu. The staff and owner are extremely nice and friendly, and the set-up and decor are very welcoming and cute. Great for families. The food here is good and reasonably priced. Some items are more of a hit than others - ie the chicken shawarma was much better than the beef shawarma. I got the macho burger; it was pretty good, but cooked well done, as my family culturally likes it and is accustomed to, so specify your preference, which I should have done, so my mistake, not theirs. My sister got the beef taco bowl, which was huge and tasty. As I mentioned, this place is HALAL and has a lot of variety, which is a great welcome to the Muslim community. Went there for a late lunch with family , a few notable things about this place are the you dress your own burger from scratch and offers a decent amount of condiments and toppings to choose from . I have family in the restaurant industry so I apologize for writing this because I feel like reviews can make or break a place. I am not trying to "break" this restaurant. However, we left about 30 minutes ago and both my son, and myself feel SO sick! My son ordered a cheeseburger, and he ate no more than a couple bites because as he put the burger up to his mouth he said, "this smells like poop." And I had the falafel pita, and the pita tasted stale and the pita itself was stiff. The falafel were way too oily and there was NO taste, except the oil. I could not even finish. My husband ate the philly cheesesteak and it was pretty good (a pretty hefty size for the money). Except as we were leaving, he even said he didn't feel great. I hope this gets taken into consideration and can change. Also, it was 8:25ish when we got in the restaurant, there were only 2 families who were there before us, and one that came after us. And the trash cans hadn't been emptied for days, it seemed. There was no room to even dump our trash. The tables were dirty. The restaurant didn't seem well kept and that was unappealing BEFORE the food was even presented to us. read more
