So, after driving past the "Our chipotle is better" sign so many times I finally decided to skip out on Chipotle for once and hit up Gusto. GREAT DECISION! Parking in the back is plentiful and shouldn't be a problem. The place itself is very clean, modern and also spacious. I came in with my boyfriend for a quick dinner and it was pretty slow (Sunday night around 7:30 pm). I ordered the half/half bowl with chicken and chose the sweet soy sriracha topping (cashier's recommendation) and my boyfriend got the brown rice bowl with chicken and topped it with the chipotle mango avocado. The service was great and our food came out in great timing...everything was completed by the time we finished paying. I really liked mine! It was fresh and had an abundance of flavor. The place was a great alternative to eating at chipotle, although it is slightly pricier (but worth it). My boyfriend, on the other hand, thought his bowl was pretty average and wasn't anything special, nonetheless, he enjoyed it and finished it. I have been to the Gusto! location in Buckhead, but wanted to try the Ponce location out since it's much closer to my house. this location is right across from the Kroger on Ponce and has a decent sized lot - much better than the chipotle nearby! I arrived around 9:45 on Friday night (they close at 10, which is nice if you have a late event like i did on a night) and was instantly welcomed by the staff. i was very indecisive and couldn't decide what sauce to add to my rice and chicken and the staff was very patient and helpful. if you are unsure of what you want they will offer you a sample. the kitchen manager was very friendly and nice. i ended up selecting brown rice, chicken and tahini. it was great!! i haven't had any food here that i haven't liked. the customer service is what really won me over. i love good food, but if the customer service is bad i won't return. i will definitely be back!! read more

I've tried ALMOST all of their "gustos", but I'm obsessed with the Tahini, Cucumber Feta and the Ginger, Lime, Peanut. Their grilled chicken has the best flavor. I didn't know what to expect as I hadn't even looked at a menu for Gusto until today standing in line. I ordered the 1/2 salad 1/2 brown rice with shrimp and chipotle mango avocado for the "Gusto!" They are known for their bowls, but their flavor options are so different than anywhere else out there and feel way less Tex mex. The location is great because it's super close to Ponce City Market, so my husband and I walked here for a quick, casual dinner after a day around PCM and the Beltline. Similar to other fast casual bowl places, you go to the counter and pick your base, toppings, and protein choice. For the bases, I love that you can get a half and half mix, as all rice can be a little too heavy. They have a decent selection of protein (although one day, I'd love to see an addition of some sort of red meat like steak, carnita, or the like) and the topping choice they have are sooooo good. I got the Chile Sesame BBQ which was killer (it rates as an above average spice level--I am a moderate sissy when it comes to spicy food and I found the spice level to be just about perfect) and my hubs got the Sweet Soy Sirracha and loved that one too. I had some hesitation to come here to eat, especially given down the road there's a Chipotle. After having gusto I don't think I would be going to Chipotle that often anymore! For what it is, it serves some pretty good food. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! One may judge these places as just some quick eatery, but the food is definitely fresh and pretty flavorful. It has a wide variety sauces, toppings, and protein. I personally love the chicken and chipotle mango combination. The chicken is well done and honestly for the times I've been it has never been dry or over-seasoned. The rice is well steamed as well so no complaints on that end. Each order comes with a bag of sweet potato chips, I'm personally not the biggest fan of sweet potatoes but these are quite good I'll give them that. The ingredients are definitely very fresh and the dishes are definitely healthier than Chipotle's. Service hasn't been an issue here and the ambience is great. It's very open and clean. Also shout out that they have a Coke Freestyle here, which I personally enjoy for the sparkling water! Gusto is definitely the place I go when I'm in need of a quick eat. They have ample parking in the back of the restaurant, as well as the back lot is connected to the back roads, great during traffic times. I wanted to like Gusto more than I did. They have a Chipotle-style ordering system but not as many topping options. Also, they're way more expensive for what you get. The wrap I got was about half the size of what you'd get at chipotle. Maybe I shouldn't be comparing it to chipotle so much but I can't help it, the concept is very similar but at the same time...ehh. Great place to grab a healthy bite to eat! A really delicious alternative to Chipotle. I'm usually not a fan of mushrooms, but I really enjoyed the ones that Gusto offers. They're not slimy at all, and have a smoky, umami taste and pleasing texture. I got the sweet soy sriracha gusto, which I highly recommend! You could tell that the ingredients were fresh, and the sauce was amazing. The sweet potato chips that you get on the side were the perfect accompaniment to my meal.
