Gooooood Lord Almighty! I went here today on a little lunch date with my beautiful lady, and let me just tell you. I'm not entirely sure of how they cook their food, but they definitely sprinkle a little black magic in the mix. I'm a "spicey" kinda guy, and well I went with their Sesame Spicey BBQ bowl today. It had a delicious savory flavor with every bite I took, but I haven't gotten off the toilet since I left the place. If your looking for something to fulfill you, but also help you lose about 15 pounds, then I recommend you go to this place. This is not a negative review at all! I wasn't very impressed with Gusto. On the positive, service is really quick if you're in a hurry. The food is good too. The negative is that there are very few choices to customize your meal. They have 6 sauces plus choices of rice and greens, but the sauces are premixed with certain vegetables. So if you don't want tomatoes in something, for example, you have to pick them out. So check out the menu before stopping by to make sure the sauce you might want still looks good. As far as the sauce, I got the sweet soy sriracha which they label as being moderately spicy. I didn't find it very spicy, to the point that unless you don't like any spice at all then you it won't be too hot for you. So stop by if you're in a hurry and want something at least reasonably healthy with greens and veggies read more

The rice was almost cold and the meat was like a few chucks for $11.50. It's not worth it. I left the cook went his car on the side of building. I love the pick-a-base, pick-a-protein, pick-a-sauce model, as it allows each family member to get something they should like, and I can get mine spicy! It's nice that they have recommendations, as too many choices that all sound mouthwatering usually leave me confused as to what I should actually get. Recently I enjoyed the chile sesame bbq chicken on greens. Yes, it's a salad, but so much flavor and such a ratio of protein to greens that it doesn't feel like one. It's filling, but leaves room for those sweet potato chips that come with every meal. This location had plenty of parking for an early dinner on a Sunday. We sat on the fake grass patio so that our crazy children could roam without bothering too many other diners. Yelp has done it again. My first time trying Gusto and I am so pleased. The staff was super friendly and explained everything to me to help me make a decision. Xyelle took my order and he was really patient with me and took his time explaining so I would know what I wanted to order. Thank you for that. The restaurant was open and bright and it smelled amazing. I loved being able to see my food being prepared right in front of me. The staff communicated so well. That was key in making sure my order was correct. They actually seemed to get along and it appeared they truly enjoyed working there and working together. I really liked that. The food was SO good. It was fresh, well- seasoned, and tasted SO amazing!!!! It looked really good too. The presentation was so on point. It was neatly wrapped and clean. When I opened it, it was like opening a present. That first bite....OMG. That first bite was heaven. The flavors meshed with the ingredients. I ordered a wrap with shrimp and chile mango lime.....I loved it. I will definitely be back. I really enjoyed myself and my meal. My meal came to right at $13 and included the wrap with shrimp and sweet potato chips; also yummy. There is ample parking here and it is right off Ponce near the Ponce City Market and another shopping center. This chipolte style healthy Tex mex infused place rivals and I'd say beats waiting in line at chipolte and let's you get out of your flavor comfort zone with so amazing varieties. Each well portioned meal is paired with 100 cal sweet potato chips --think terra chips. And if you're into sodas they do have the hundred flavor soda stream as well. Had a lunch date with my boyfriend today so I ran across Gusto with the help of Yelp. It's close to my workplace so we decided to eat something healthy. So this is a really nice place, very modern and has a "loft" vibe. It's very open and bright from the tall windows so we dined in and enjoyed eating by the window. It wasn't crowded at all during lunch time, so we were able to walk right in and place our order. Like some of the Yelpers mentioned, it's similar to Chipotle but much more healthier in my opinion. It doesn't have a lot to choose from the menu, it's very simple. I ordered the Mango Chipotle Avocado bowl with chicken and half brown rice/half salad. Got a refreshing limeade and it also came with complimentary housemade sweet potato chips The chips were the perfect balance of salty and sweet and was lightly crisp. This whole meal was super healthy and super light. Leaves u satisfied and happy actually. My boyfriend loved it so much that he even asked for another bag of sweet potato chips to-go. And he doesn't eat healthy as much as I do lol. We both enjoyed our nice lunch date. I will definitely come back again and try another menu item. Luckily it's close to my workplace. This experience actually left me feeling a little upset at myself. Being in Atlanta for a little over 4 years I have never tried gusto! The menu is very straight forward without feeling limited. You have your choice of protein grilled chicken w/ a spicy option, grilled shrimp, Ahi tuna, online menu shows an option for grilled portobello but this was not on the menu in the store. There is also a vegan and vegetarian option. Your next option is if you would like brown rice, salad or a wrap as your base. For those of you that like it both ways, like myself, you can get the 1/2 and 1/2. In this case it means half rice and half salad. Spice levels are always hard to explain but nothing here was spicy. There was more of a tingle than a kick. The flavors are bold without using the crutch of a huge amount of sugar, salt, and fat. This is a local business doing there thing well and should be supported just as ravenously as we do ATL United! read more

I know I couldn't go wrong with the chipotle mango avocado (which she mentioned is their # 1 selling choice), but as a Cali girl, I wanted something different, so I asked about the tzatziki lemon artichoke. I've been to both locations Peachtree and the one on E.Ponce. Both locations are identical with great service and great food! I don't know what they do to the chicken but mans it's AWESOME! Please do not change the recipe I repeat do not change the recipe! So they offer inside and outside seating and they accept credit cards and Apple pay. Drink options are soda, beer, water, tea etc. The have a total of about five or six options on the menu you order a meat then decide if you want a wrap, salad or brown rice. I always get the wrap with chipotle mango chix! You get homemade sweet potato chips with your order that's also very good. Every now and then they throw a special flavor I was lucky to catch one it was called Piemonte or something like that I never heard of it before but they need to make it a regular item it was unreal when I tried it. The same goes for the sweet potato chips, which usually have that nice crunch when you bite into them. Pretty nice little spot. Reminds me of a more unique chipotle- better flavor combos and a more unique and fresh menu. I love that they set it up where you have a lot of variety but the choices are easy. I got a mango shrimp salad- portion was kind of small (about six shrimp) and I wish the mixed greens were a bit more of the healthy kind (think romaine rather than spinach). The flavor was great, though. I really loved the canned wine. I know that sounds crazy, but it was awesome. I got the red and enjoyed every sip. The music was a bit nutz- we went from Disney to backstreet to folk and it was a bit loud. Was entertaining nonetheless. As was the mouthwash station then the bathroom (that's so Atlanta). The place was bright and clean. The service was awesome- a manager greeted us and the cashiers were sweet and the food was served fresh & fast. Would certainly visit again. read more

I can can confidently say that 100% of every meal has been excellent, 5 out of 5. You can get a brown rice bowl, mixed greens, combo rice/greens, or a wrap. Everything is fresh and prepared perfectly every single time. The staff are very friendly and professional--I've seen lots of folks who have worked there for years. The owner is fantastic--he does everything - bussing tables, cleaning the bathrooms, whatever it takes. In the pandemic, they've kept up with good safety protocols and I've continued to go back. Disclaimer: I haaaaaate health food. I will intentionally NOT eat at any restaurant that offers itself up as a sacrifice to the pantheon of health-obsessed moron millennials who eat things that suck only so they can appear brazenly hip and obsequiously vain. Gusto! Is anything but that. It has delicious, healthy, and affordable fast food that is marketed (at least in my opinion) as healthy for fresh taste and human benefit, with no unnecessary side of pomp. I have not one thing from this menu that I would not have gladly consumed even if I was unaware that it was also healthy. I have the staff to be more polite and friendly than is common for most counter service places, and I like the simple vibe here. I would've given 5 stars, but I think they could keep the place a little cleaner. But it's not offensive, just a little less slick and span than It would be if I owned it. I hope this location (and franchise in general) continues to succeed and will encourage other restaurants to focus more or tasty food that is healthy, than healthy food that's hip, but nasty to eat. I'm so glad to see that Gusto opened a second location closer to me! I first checked them out at a Yelp event at their other location in Buckhead and I was impressed from the start. The owner and chef was so down to earth and really passionate about their concept. It is hard to compare Gusto to other restaurants. There really isn't anything else like it in Atlanta. The concept is fast, healthy and convenient. The menu is straight forward and simple but there are enough combination options to where you don't have to get the same thing over and over. Your first choice is your base- rice, lettuce, half and half, or a flatbread wrap. Your second choice is your protein- shrimp, chicken, portabella, or add/sub avocado. Your third choice is "your gusto" which is what makes Gusto so special. You can choose from six different Gusto's that are each concocted of amazing ingredients. My favorite is the apple curry peanut. It consists of curry peanut sauce, an apple, cabbage, carrot salad in a sriracha ginger dressing and roasted peanuts. The Gusto that you choice is placed atop your base choice for a healthy, flavorful meal. This location stands where Chow Baby used to on Ponce De Leon. The space has been completely revamped and it is clean and beautiful. They have a nice patio out front and offer local brews like the ever popular Tropicalia, by Creature Comforts. Parking is usually a breeze since they have their own lot and the service is super friendly and genuine. If you live in midtown, you probably keep seeing this place everywhere. They have several locations that have been popping up lately, and according to their website, they have even more opening up soon. I expected this to be a create your own bowl place, but the ordering process was much more simple - base, protein, and sauce. I ordered grilled portabella with their chipotle mango avocado topping, with a base of half brown rice and half mixed greens. My friend ordered the same base and protein, but with sweet soy sriracha. For the price, I enjoyed my food. I'm a huge avocado person, so for me, the chipotle mango avocado was great - the flavors were just what I expected, and blended together beautifully to create a Tex- Mex bowl. The texture could have been a little better. I did not like how all of the toppings are already mixed into the avocado. When I ordered, I just expected the black bean and corn salad to be spread on the base with avocado on top, but instead, it is all just a big chunk of ingredients in the middle of the bowl. I really like my toppings scattered in bowls to add an unexpected variety of textures and flavors to my palette; every bite in this bowl was exhausting since it tasted like the bite before it. My friend's bowl was fantastic. The sweet soy sriracha sauce had a great blend of not too sweet, and not too spice; the ingredients the gusto comes with tasted fantastic, and every bite I took from his bowl had a satisfying crunch due to the fresh veggies scattered on the base! I am definitely coming back - the environment of this restaurant was great, since they had a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. The rice base is automatically brown rice at no additional cost, and the overall bowl is still a low price. My only concern is that if you are vegetarian, they don't really have a nutritionally satisfying protein for you. This is our first time at Gusto, we brought Simba our 125lbs dog and we sat outside. The outdoor seating area was almost the size of the restaurant itself. That's quite a big space. There is also a tap outside with a bowl for your dog if you didn't bring your own bowl. So, like us, your first visit. You get a choice of either a flatbread wrap, greens or brown rice as your carbs, you choose your protein of chicken, shrimp or mushroom and lastly, choose from about 5 dressing (your gusto). Each meal comes with free sweet potato chips - yumz. I chose the tahini, I would love to have less feta and more cucumbers & tomatoes but it was still yummy. I gave the unsalted chips to Simba. He approved! I took a few slices too and found that they were yummy. We will surely come back, and my next order will be mix greens instead of the flatbread as it was rather heavy for me after I finished my meal. read more

I am sad the soft serve machine was removed a few months ago, but they do have king of pops and a dessert of their own if you have a sweet tooth. I am guilty of having a favorite bowl and sticking too it. When you arrive, you'll have your choice of "themed" bowls. You then select your protein and if you'd like it over rice, greens or in a wrap. I always get the sweet soy siracha w/ chicken and over 1/2 rice and 1/2 greens. Its got the perfect mild kick to it. I came in with my boyfriend for a quick dinner and it was pretty slow (Sunday night around 7:30 pm). I ordered the half/half bowl with chicken and chose the sweet soy sriracha topping (cashier's recommendation) and my boyfriend got the brown rice bowl with chicken and topped it with the chipotle mango avocado. The service was great and our food came out in great timing...everything was completed by the time we finished paying. I really liked mine! It was fresh and had an abundance of flavor. The place was a great alternative to eating at chipotle, although it is slightly pricier (but worth it). My boyfriend, on the other hand, thought his bowl was pretty average and wasn't anything special, nonetheless, he enjoyed it and finished it.
