Terrible experience. Would not recommend. Had appointment for service on Thursday made 10 days in advance. Friday afternoon still not working on it and then service rep says maybe Tuesday or Wednesday they'll get to it. Service rep never calls back. You just have to keep calling to check on progress every few hours . In the end I just picked it up and took it to Hennessy Ford in Atlanta. The way that they haunt individuals every month, and have the same outcome, EVERY MONTH is horrifying. The lack of communication is appalling. They have the sales team continuously reach out to you to get a deal, destroy your credit, and once they see that it is a hard deal, they stop communicating and goes ghost. This is the ONLY dealership, that I have encountered, that has these disgusting tactics. I will be filing a complaint. I would not recommend anyone doing business with this dealership, and from the looks of it, they're predatory due to the fact that their reviews are discouraging a lot of buyers. PLEASE TAKE CAUTION. The finance manager is also very dismissive. They want you to come into the dealership and wait for HOURS. I refused this, and told them that I wanted to do everything virtually, and I will come in once I KNOW that they have an approval. BEWARE! Gwinnett Place Ford had my car for over 2 weeks and did not fix the problem but still charged me $1,339.00. I dropped my Fusion off on Monday morning November 24, 2025 to fix my RADIO. There was no sound from the radio or bluetooth. A few hours later my service advisor Hayden, calls and says the problem is the ACM. It will cost $1109.26. They have to order the part so it will take two days. Friday rolls around and no word on my car so I call GPF. They say they hope to get to it the next week. I need my car for work so I make an appointment for December 22, 2025. Around December 10 my service advisor calls and says my technician is going on vacation & they need to push my service back. I decide to take a personal day from work to drop my car off on December 11-12. On December 12 GPF calls and says they found out now that the DSP is also failing & it will cost an additional $500. So I drop off my car on December 22 again. Apparently they installed multiple DSPs and none of them worked. On December 26 GPF calls me & tells me I need to open a claim with my insurance company. They don't know what the problem is. It could be lightning damage or it could be rodent damage. My insurance agent tells me the only reason a dealership wants you to call insurance is to total the car. Gwinnett Place Ford cannot fix a RADIO so they want me to total my car. I said no thank you. Just give me my car back. GWF says I have to pay for the repairs that they did. I said they didn't do any repairs. They didn't fix the radio. Why am I on the hook because they didn't diagnose the problem correctly? They would not return my car to me unless I paid them $1,339.00 for "repairs." They repaired NOTHING. Got it back with greasy smudges all around the the fenders and hood, tires rotated to produce mismatched pairs on an axle, and now a vibration at speed that wasn't there before. I have to assume they actually did the oil change correctly... but with everything else being screwed up I"m not overly confident. This seemed like a really good price, coupled with zero percent financing that Ford is offering, I contacted them just to make sure it was available still. They really pressure you to come down there and drive it, which I understand. But usually that's when they pull their special sales tactics. Well, that $42,986 truck jumped in price, the same day, all the way up to $51,680. Interestingly, tonight, on the website, the truck is back down to $42,986. How about that? Don't waste your time going there. I took my F150 there because it was consuming oil. They reprogrammed the PCM based on a service letter that stated this was a known issue for that model year truck. After they finished with the truck 3 days later, they said bring it back after 1,000 miles just to verify the truck was no longer using oil. He told me he would have me in and out quick since it was just a follow up. I made the appointment and took the truck in. Now they tell me that it will be another 2 or 3 days just to look at the dip stick and tell me if it consumed any oil. Plus it will be another service fee equal to the amount I paid the first time. What the hell did I make an appointment for. Find somewhere else to take your ford, or probably better yet, just don't buy a ford to begin with. I wish I didn't. read more

I think their service and parts are way overpriced. People there are great. They are able to fix what is wrong with your vehicle, but unless it is under warranty, it may be worth while to check out other repair facilities. Also, in addition to the prices they charge, they add on 3% for credit cards and another approximate 7% for "Shop Charges". Also, they are great for adding things to the phone estimate without telling you in advance, like oil additives, etc. Nuff said!!! read more

Hayden provided great service that exceeded my expectations! I've been to the other Ford near Mall of Georgia and it seemed like a very disorganized operation. I simply chose to come to this location bc it was more convenient, but I wasn't expecting anything different from before. Hayden is knowledgeable and informative, and he demonstrated genuine interest in ensuring that the service my bronco received was executed correctly. When he noticed that my air pressure was off, despite me insisting that is was no big deal and that I can take care of it myself, I only gave in bc I could tell how important it was to him. Ok so i thought that my bad experiences with Ford were over and that something as simple as a new battery and oil change on a 2020 transit van would be easy. I dropped it off and then the service advisor called me back and gave me an estimate totaling over 4k dollars. All of the sudden i needed new brakes and rotors and a multitude of different things. I couldn't afford it but for safety sake i asked if they could just replace the pads until i could afford the rest. He said no that they couldn't be responsible for my vehicle not doing all the work and was sent on my way. A couple days later i was concerned my brakes with fail so i went to see if another shop would just change the pads and since the inspection was free i figured what the hell. These guys pulled off the front two tires and said there was nothing wrong with my brakes and even took the brake pad off and showed me how much i had left and it was a lot atleast 20k more miles and i asked about the rotors again he showed me how smooth it was and in perfect condition so i figured it was the rear brakes again after removing the tires and looking evening was in perfect working order and no work was preformed. They also didn't charge me. So how is it that the dealership came up with a 4,200 dollar quote? Easy they know the general public doesn't know about cars and they use that to up-charge-us the consumers and we are none the wiser. I took my vehicle in for service on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. I had an appointment and my assigned service advisor, Alexis Jordan, was nowhere to be found. The service advisor who greeted me looked high and low for her and couldn't find her. Another service advisor wrote up my service order to get me started. Still no Alexis. I get a text about the service needed and a request for approval to start the work, which I did. In the meantime, I get a rental for use until my vehicle was ready. Also, I am hearing nothing from Alexis about the status of my vehicle. It is now Monday, September 12, 2022, and I call the dealership to get a status on the repair. I get an operator or someone who takes my number but not my name and says he will send a message (to Alex - I had to correct him to tell him that it's Alexis, whom I have yet to meet). I had to stop him before he hung up on me to give him my name. I also asked him to route the message to the service manager (which I doubt he'll do). The system does not show that any work has been done on my vehicle (although I have proof via text that I approved for the work to be started). I am extremely disappointed in this dealership. This review deserves 1 star simply because management reached out to me. Alana and Charles responded and followed up with me on my vehicle. I dropped my vehicle off on Sep 30, 2022 at 9am for a full service (oil change, tire rotation, vehicle vitals report) with the service department. The agent Manny was handling my service and told me my vehicle would be done by 5pm or the next day at the latest. I had to report to work on Monday in Columbus. Not to mention I live in Marietta and drove past atleast 4 other dealerships to come here because of the reputation they once had. Saturday came and I began to call (see attached photo) when I heard nothing from Manny and no one picks up, I called all day Sunday no one picks up. Monday comes and I finally reached Manny, he advised me that my vehicle had not been dispatched to work on and it's just been sitting and he will "get right to it" and my vehicle should be complete the next day (Tuesday). At the end of our conversation I advised him that he needs to better communicate with me on the status if my vehicle. Now, I had been taking an Uber everywhere even asking friends to drive me to Columbus because the dealership didn't give me a rental. The next day (Tuesday) not a word from Manny, Wednesday came still nothing and I finally requested to speak with management. An hour later I get a call from Alana (supervisor) and tried to help resolve the issue. Manny finally gave me a call back and said they didn't complete the some maintenance but the oil change is done. He asked if I want the maintenance completed, I said absolutely not im coming to get my vehicle. None the less, I probably won't be back and im just very disappointed on how this was handled, not to mention I WHOLE HEARTEDLY believe the oil change was not done, nor the service. Sitting in the #3 position in line for service since 6:45am, "Aldo" said to me, "I'll be with you in a second", then they went to the #4, #5, etc. car in line behind me, checking them in, then driving them around and past me as I am made to just sit there. I asked "Aldo" if the "second" he quoted me is over, but he said, "You can see how busy we are, we'll be with you". I went inside to wait here where it is warmer (current temperature is 30 degrees). "Aldo" continues to serve other customers. I just now asked another employee for help. He said I do not have an appointment. I have been having electrical issues with my 2012 Ford Escape recently and scheduled an appointment with Gwinnett Place Ford for 9/6/23. I showed up about 10-15 minutes early and waited for my appointment time and spoke with a service rep who told me that even though I was setup for an appointment with all of the information that was requested when I was setting up my appointment including make, model, trim level, and mileage. Not only was the vehicle that they set the appointment up for incorrect, but when I showed up I was told that they would not be able to look at my vehicle to determine what the issue I was having was. I decided not to raise questions about this and I would just take my business elsewhere to a smaller shop that we use pretty regularly. I did however need some Ford specific parts and decided to go ahead and try and order them through the dealership. The service rep got me the model numbers that I needed for the end covers on the windshield and told me that we could go ahead and order them and they would give me a call back once the items had come in, which should take about a week, and I could pick up and pay then since they were only $20-$25 each. I gave them my name and phone number again since they had already cancelled the appointment that I did show up for and waited but never received a call back. I called in today 9/18/23, 12 days after my initial ordering of the items, and asked for a status update attributing the delay in a call back was due to the material not coming in or possibly being on backorder and I would just have to wait a bit longer. No, when I gave the person I got on the phone with my information, they had no records of my parts being ordered. So, not only was my appointment for a diagnosis scheduled but not kept because they did not want to assist with the issues that I was having, but the parts that I was told would be ordered never were. How can you as a representative for one of the largest vehicle manufacturers in the world, present yourself like this and have such an apparent disregard for your current and prospective customers time and money? I now have to order these parts through a different avenue and wait again since I was lied to by Gwinnett Place Ford. WARNING--DO NOT BUY 2011 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER AROUND $15,000-$16,000 Terrible experience with dishonest scammers. I came in to see a 2011 Toyota Highlander that was priced far below market value online. When I showed up, Geo, a salesperson, told me they had "made a mistake" because the car still needed $2500 of repairs, but he would honor the price I saw, thus giving me a 4 thousand dollar discount (if you read other reviews, you'll see they do this a lot). He also took off an additional $997 fee, which made my dad who was with me very skeptical. Geo told me he just wanted me to have the car because I was so excited. Overjoyed I was getting such a great deal on the car, I signed the paperwork to purchase the car with an agreement that I could take it to a 3rd party mechanic before officially closing the deal. Geo immediately started acting strange and told us to ignore anything the mechanic might say about transmission fluid, and he showed me on the Car Fax report where it had been changed. Sure enough, the first issue the mechanic found was a problem with the transmission fluid. However, the issue was not that it hadn't been change recently enough. The problem was far more sinister and dangerous. The transmission fluid was overfilled 5-6x what it should have been. The mechanic explained to me that this problem is severe and can lead to early transmission failure, early degradation and destruction of parts, as well as over heating and other costly and dangerous issues. They immediately told me not to buy the car, and they had no motivation for telling me that other than to keep me safe because I had no reason to fix a car I was not going to by. This was a red flag because I had read other reviews about early transmission failure of vehicles others have purchased here. Also, Geo had told us to ignore anything the mechanic said about transmission fluid, which makes me believe he knew something was wrong ahead of time. So I get back to the dealership with my dad, who is furious about Geo trying to pull one over us, to talk with Geo. Geo sees the report from the mechanic and immediately starts laughing at my father, insinuating my dad and I are stupid for listening to the mechanic "who gets paid to find things wrong." Instead of arguing with him, we left and terminated the deal. Now I KNOW they were lying because they just reposted the car for basically the same price as before it got serviced, showing they know this car is a lemon. Geo made me believe I was getting a $4,000 discount, which is why I was so eager to purchase the car. But it was a lie. Additionally, there is $2500 with of damage they haven't even fixed yet on the back of the car that they didn't even mention. When we came back, another salesperson was drinking out of a pocket flask on the job--another red flag. They were 3 weeks behind also... But Michael understood my predicament. Michael got my truck checked out, found the problem, ordered the part. Jump forward 24 hours later, the part is replaced. My trucks running great. And it was all still covered under warranty. And my happy butt is on my way to North Carolina!!! No. No. No. Do not purchase a used vehicle from this dealership. Their inspection of used vehicles is poor quality. I was sold a Cadillac SUV XT5 that had a faulty AC system --I found out weeks after I purchased. I did purchase a warranty for the car. However, the dealership couldn't honor the warranty because they don't have the necessary equipment to repair the car. The deductible for warranty is waived if I took it to Gwinnett Place Ford. However, they wanted me to drive an hour and take the car across the street to a GNC dealer & pay the $100 deductible!! I have taken it to a dealership to learn the car needed a new thermostat, evac system done and new battery! These are all issues that a dealership should address when taking in & selling a used car. Shame on you Gwinnett Place Ford---you took the cheap way out! I had to pay $800 for repairs AFTER the $1700 warranty you sold me would only pay a portion of the AC repairs. If you are reading this, please go to a different dealership to purchase a used car. This place is shady when it comes to selling used vehicles. read more

RIP OFF ARTISTS!!! On Monday July 31st I brought my 2008 Ford explorer in for a radiator leak. The service advisor had me wait 4 hrs to tell me it would take 2 days before they could do diagnostics. 2 days later I call back and they haven't looked at my vehicle. later on that afternoon I get a call from the service advisor telling me I need a new radiator and it will cost ovet $2100 dollars!! I told him there is no way in hell that I'm going to pay that much for a radiator. They charged me $188 dollars to diagnose a known radiator leak!!! I picked up the vehicle and brought it to goodyear on Lavista road . Goodyear only charged $438 to replace the radiator. THERE IS NO WAY that I will ever step food in the Gwinnett Place Ford service department ever again!! You would do well to avoid this place like the plague. They are ripoff artists!! read more
