The repair took less than an hour and came ahead of schedule:) they were reasonably priced as well. The worst service ever. If there was a options to give a zero or less i would. I had a tech come out to work on my tredmill that had some noise. The tech said it would need a new motor, well i was told by the owner danial that it was going to cost around 700 for the part and installation. I told them i would think about it and get back with them after i paid 179.00 for the tech to come out that spent 15mins to determine the problem. This tech left a mess of grease all over the floor, tredmill and my front door. I told the tech about the mess and he said that he didnt use grease he used lube. Wtf. I asked if he will clean his mess and he gave me a answer i couldnt believe. ( you can use a soapy hot towel it will come out) wow i was in shock. After the tech left i called out another servicer ( GYM PRECISION) i told them what happend with gym doctors. They said they could have someone come out that day and wouldnt charge if the motor was infact bad. They came out and said it was a bad roller and i could use a drive belt too. $220 for everything. They came back the next day and installed took about 40mins. They cleaned up all the mess that gym doctors made. Made my unit look clean well worth my money. Dont trust your money with gym doctors. Call someone else. Trust me, its not worth time or effort or money at that matter read more

I called the Gym Doctors because I had an older FreeMotion treadmill that was WAY bigger and heavier than I thought. I needed to move it from one house to another, and after attempting with several different trucks and helpers, it was clear that my treadmill was never going to make it inside my gate or my front door. So, I emailed the Gym Doctors asking about their services and if they could disassemble and re-assemble my treadmill and move it inside. They called me right away and sent someone the very next afternoon for the job. The tech who came out was very nice and efficient. He was able to take the top monitor part off quickly, and moved the two components inside. He set it up and reattached the monitor. It works perfectly as before. He also heard a little kinking noise inside the belt that I didn't even notice myself. He adjusted it to get rid of that as well. While the service wasn't cheap, it was very much worth the price. I recommend Gym Doctors to anyone who needs repairs, moving or adjustments. read more

They did a great job of putting the machine together, but after they were completed Mike pointed out the good features, and the ones he thought were lacking, and showed me how to use the machine to it's best effect. Gym Doctors is great! I bought a Precor elliptical from someone through Craigslist. It had to be dismantled, moved, and then reassembled. It is a very involved process. Daniel responded to my inquiry promptly and I was able to schedule something within a week. The technician, Sampson (sp?) was great. I am a small personal training studio owner. I've worked with Gym Doctors for the last four years and had been very happy with their service, until now. I was doing some upgrading to my studio and needed some equipment maintained and moved. I also needed help installing new rubber flooring. When I called to make the appointment I was very clear with what I needed - Two machines cleaned and moved and new flooring laid down. The person who scheduled the appointment for me did not ask me if the flooring needed to be cut and I didn't think to tell them that it did because I didn't know it needed to be cut. The guy they sent was very nice and when we realized that the flooring had to be cut he said, "Not a problem" and went to work getting it done. He did not have the tools he needed so he took the mats to another location. When he brought the mats back they looked like they had been cut by a blind person using a butter knife. But we made it work. Because it took so long for the mats to be installed he did not get to work on my treadmill, however, before he left he put some lube under the belt. It has been squeaking ever since. I called and talked to the owner of the company and see if they could come work on my squeaking treadmill and I have never in my life received worse customer service. He blamed me for not telling them that the mats had to be cut *I did not know they had to be cut* and then went on to tell me that they "don't do flooring" really? Well it would have been nice to know that you didn't do flooring before your guy came in and mutilated my flooring. Do not use these guys unless you want to be blamed for their mistakes and pay for it by having your equipment ruined. read more

The initial visit resulted in 0 results with the expectation that I would pay again and trust that my machine would be serviced properly. I just had my treadmill serviced by Gym Doctors and I am very pleased with the service. The office staff were very courteous when scheduling my appointment and gave me a one hour window of time that the tech would show up. True to their word, the tech showed up right on time, did a great job with the tune-up, and even showed me how I can maintain the treadmill myself. Don't know what the other negative "Yelpers" are talking about!? I am very happy with their service and will definitely recommend them to my friends! read more

Gym Doctors was great. The tech showed up when they said he would. My treadmill was making a knocking noise when I called for repair. But when the tech examined the treadmill it made one brief knock then wouldn't make the sound again. He walked and walked on it at various speeds and elevations but couldn't get it to make the noise again, so he did a complete tune-up, adjusted the belt and generally cleaned everything. The noise came back once but then hasn't returned. It seems to be an intermittent problem. Next time I'll record the sound on my phone so he can get a better idea about what's malfunctioning. Terrible customer service, made an appointment 2 weeks ago, they never showed up, I called they did not have a clue. They had me 30 minutes on the phone to finally tell me they did not have any record for my appointment. They were defensive. I would not recommend this place at all. My experience with Gym Doctors was horrible. I ordered parts from Icon and when the technician came out they stated there was another issue. The tech proceded to replace my walking belt and then broke my end cap on the treadmill. He then pretended to fix reattach the end cap only to then state that it had broke in 5 parts. I will never use their service again. To add to this review, he was suppose to replace a small belt on my treadmill, I just checked the belt is not even properly installed. read more

They came to fix a year old elliptical that was working fine but making excess noise 5 times over 4 months under an extended service agreement I purchased from Icon,the manufacturer. I received 6 boxes containing nearly 200 lbs of parts they ordered from Icon. They told me twice that the equipment was "cheap",complained that their office had ordered wrong parts,blamed Icon for sending wrong parts or defective parts. On one visit the service person suggested I was the cause when a part he looked at during a previous visit fell off the next time I touched the equipment. After the 4th appointment the machine was left in pieces on the floor. After the 5th appointment,I questioned the technicians ability to competently do the repair,and he hung up on me. I would never trust them to again attempt a repair . read more

Very unhappy, Tech came out (179.00) serviced life fitness 9500hr excercise bike. Replaced battery and everything seemed fine (220.00). About 1 hour later the monitor was still on and I called tech. He said that it should go off and would make a report. Next day, nothing works. I did receive a call from Jeff and informed that the monitor (computer) could not be ordered. I was told that I could purchase something from them minus 179.00. NEVER was the tech sent back to comfirm that the monitor was bad. Good customer service should have included a return from the tech to confirm that my monitor was beyond repair. He was at my house for about an hour, nothing works, and there was never a return visit. 220.00 $ later and I have nothing. I would have been more than satisfied with a return visit and some kind of closure. read more

We have used Gym Doctors to service our commercial fitness equipment for 5 years. They are consistent and reliable in their preventive maintenance visits. We have found that the direct service is often based on the actual technician who comes out. We generally have good consistent service, but there have been times where the technician was not great. read more

I was extremely pleased with Gym Doctors, especially with the technician (Dan R.) who serviced my elliptical (Precor EFX 346). Easy to schedule appointment within several days. The technician showed up right on time, and was extremely knowledgeable about my machine. Quickly diagnosed and fixed both problems, before I permanently damaged the machine. (The previous company I had used several weeks earlier did not fix the problems - same problems recurred after two days, and I think they actually have made things worse by making incorrect adjustments.) read more

The technician was very courteous and professional. He found the problem and advised me of the cost. The incline on my treadmill was not working and was stuck elevated. I told him I did not want to replace the motor but if he could just lower it that would be great. He did exactly that and also checked the belts and lubed them. I was very happy with his service. I had a terrible experience with Gym Doctors. My NordicTrack machine is under warranty. The fan stopped working. After parts were shipped, a technician from Gym Doctors was sent out to replace the fan and service the machine. When the technician left, he told me the company did not ship the right parts to replace the fan, but the machine was otherwise working fine. The next morning I got up early to use the machine, only to find that it had no resistance and I was not able to adjust it. I called Gym Doctors to report the problem and they maintained that somehow the machine broke between the time their technician came out and when I got on it the next day. They were rude and unhelpful. Run, don't walk, away from Gym Doctors. I began the process of trying to get the fan repaired in March 2016. I have been unable to use the machine from the date Gym Doctors came out through today, December 2, 2016. The B.E.S.T. protection plans sold by Sears are a total rip off. read more

I bought a Nordictrack Elliptical May 2014. It started to have thumping noise this past May. Called Nordictrack and they shipped me replacement bearing. Gym Doctor sent their engineer Marvin to our house on 5/27/2015. Several pieces of the machine snapped off during Marvin's process of dissembling the machine to reach the bearing. Then it turns out Marvin did not bring the right tool to knock out the broken bearing because it has "flared". Marvin left leaving us with an unusable machine. It has been like that ever since. I called several times to gym doctor and after maybe a week and a half, they finally put in the part order to nordictrack. Nordictrack then sat on the order for a few more days to a week. After a few calls to them, they finally started shipping parts. Unfortunately two parts are still out of stock. Called Gym Doctor and was told they are not allowed to come out until all parts have been received. (the machine is under warranty) . Now I am on hold trying to get an exception from Nordictrack to get someone to come out and at least put the machine back together so we can use it while this saga takes its course. I wish I had better words, unfortunately it has been an unpleasant experience so far. We are out of the machine and I did not get the sense that either Nordictrack or Gym Doctor cares much about our situation. I will update when there is a development. Hopefully this will get someone's attention and speed up the process. Thank you. -John read more
