I have been using Gym Doctors for about 6 years to service my treadmill. Recently I asked them to come and take it apart to make it more manageable to move to a new apartment and Jason (who is amazing--always) discovered that my frame was cracked. He went above and beyond to help me come up with a solution as the treadmill needed to be moved that day and I decided to scrap it and buy a new one from them because I trust them so much. I could not be happier with my experience with Gym Doctors. I have been going to the gym regularly for 20 years and, when everything closed, it took me months to accept there would be NO GYM! I had to take matters into my own hands. I wanted a gym-quality exercise bike, as I figured that would continue to be functional and appropriate for many years, no matter the level of my fitness. My search for reasonably priced models led me to several sites but Gym Doctors was local and appeared to have a great customer service policy. I contacted them for a quote and received an answer almost immediately - after business hours! Daniel explained that the (cheaper) model I was looking for was backordered and suggested the next-priced model, which was actually a much more robust, commercial level bike. They ordered it, it came early, they assembled it and even disassembled a piece so we could fit it in our SUV. They offer a free delivery and assembly service, but I wanted to pick it up, and Daniel gave us a discount due to that! I had a great experience with the mechanic who assisted us during pickup and feel confident in his skills after watching him disassemble part of the bike. He demonstrated and explained everything to us, which was super helpful for reassembly, and he even helped us place it in the car. Everything about the ordering and pickup process was smooth, straightforward, and friendly. The customer service was excellent and quite professional. The price was exceptional. (And yes, everyone was wearing a mask, if not gloves) I am so relieved to know they are there if and when I have service needs. Finally, the bike Daniel suggested, and we ordered, was far superior to the model I was initially interested in and I could not be happier with my purchase. I'm so glad I he suggested it. What a find! We assembled our ProForm 5000 ourselves in late 2020, covid restrictions. I decided to have a professional look at it because it was just noisy and not smooth. And because I never really trusted us in the first place! You know what your treadmill is supposed to sound like? It's supposed to sound like NOTHING, who knew?! The service technician was very attentive trying to get our old treadmill to operate. It did work after service but intermittently slowed down. We bought a new treadmill there weeks later. It was delivered and installed in 3 days. They hauled away the old one. I'm happy with our new treadmill and hope it lasts another 10 years. read more

Excellent service. Found the company on Yelp, they were close and had good reviews. Called and explained that my Bowflex Max was making a knocking sound and wouldn't change resistance. Bowflex sent out a replacement servo motor and I needed someone to install it. Technician was there the next day, took the machine apart and fixed it! Can't ask for better than that. read more

I called about my treadmill making a specific noise and the treadmill needed its first service. They sent someone out and he addressed the noise and oiled the belt. A little more than 30 days later (the time at which you are not covered for a return visit) the noise came back. They said the tech only waxed the belt but it sounds like it needs to be replaced. So they want me to pay another $100 for someone to come out since its past the 30 days but this is the whole reason they were called in the first place and the first call cost $189! They are giving me attitude about the whole thing when they should have just done the job right in the first place. Seems like a scam to fix something temporarily until you are past the 30 days so you can get more money for a return visit. Sad. read more

We have been looking for a repair service on fitness equipment for a long time and I am so happy we found them! The other company we used was bloody expensive after new ownership! I am giving the Gym Doctors five stars because they did an exemplary job fixing the problems with my elliptical, including problems that I was not aware of. My elliptical had been making a strange grinding noise during use, and I could not figure out what was causing it. The Gym Doctors sent two employees to look at my machine, and they arrived within the scheduled time. They quickly figured out the problem (loosely attached joints) and explained it to me. They then fixed the problem and also other issues involving the elliptical's screws. My machine now runs smoothly and quietly - no more grinding noise. The Gym Doctor employees not only competently fixed the problem, they were polite and professional in communicating with me. The base price of a repair is $189, which may seem pricey but not if you consider the cost of replacing the equipment. I was also saved the aggravation of exercising with a noisy machine that probably bothered my neighbors. I highly recommend the Gym Doctors. read more

I called for repairs of the Elliptical machine. The Gym Doctors answered the phone every time I called and quickly responded with quote for the repairs. Eventually I visited Dan and his team at Gym Doctors to take a look at treadmills and elliptical. They gave good offer and got it delivered the same day. You guys are awesome team. These guys are amazing. I have an older treadmill that starting operating incorrectly. I'm semi mechanically inclined so I took a stab at repairing it, including replacing my main control board. After I couldn't figure it out I called the Gym Doctors. Emil took my phone call and after talking to me for about 5 min said "It sounds like someone set your treadmill to Kilometers", I hesitated because I couldn't see how the problem could be that simple. He offered to send a technician to come to my house, perform its routine service and diagnose my problem, which I happily accepted. He also offered to send me an email, with instructions on how to check the machine and calibrate it should I have the desire to try one last time. He instructions were so basic I tried to do it, and much to my surprise he was dead right! my 7 year old inadvertently had changed the settings to metric. I was so excited I called and offered to pay a consultation fee and he refused. He just asked me to think of his business next time I needed service or new equipment. Emil went out of his way to help me save time and money, which shows not only his integrity, but the integrity of the entire organization. Gym Doctors has been maintaining the equipment at the condo complex gym for years and despite all the abuse the machines take, they've managed to keep them running strong. Their stickers with a contact number are on each machine, so whenever something comes up it's as simple as calling them and they show up and fix it quickly. I've met a few of their techs and spoken with owner and found them to be professional and knowledgeable. Frankly, I'm suprised to see all the negative feedback. They've kept our machines running and within budget. That reminds me, maybe I should go work out later instead of going to happy hour! read more

This is a great company. I've used their services previously over the years. The techs are always on time and very pleasant and the price they quoted was the price I paid! Recently I had them come out to check my dead Precor elliptical (can't live without some type of cardio equiptment in my house!). I was advised the repair cost will exceed the value since it was over 12 years old, so I opted for their upgrade program, and purchased a new treadmill instead. Get this: the price I paid for service was applied towards my treadmill purchase. Being I'm a girlee girl dealing with a service company, I've never felt that they've tried taking advantage of me. They've always explained my options in plain English and let me decide. They delivered my new treadmill last week (in a timely manner I might add!) and they hauled away the old one for free. I've been on it every day and just love it...no troubles with it whatsoever! Thanks to Daniel and all you guys...you're really awesome! I recommend them highly. Daniel from Gym Doctors is incredibly rude and condescending. After a year of failed attempts, they still haven't fixed my elliptical and refuse to refund my money. They told me just recently the my equipment was "plagued with electronic and mechanical issues due to poor design" but somehow couldn't be bothered to tell me this when they repeatedly requested more money for more parts. They either don't know how to fix it or they tell you it needs new motherboards, rollers, belts etc that feel suspiciously like unnecessary replacements. Don't use these guys - unless you want snarky comments about what an idiot you are. read more

Chad came to assemble our treadmill and brought his own tools to do the job versus using the tiny wrenches supplied with the treadmill. He really cared that the job was done correctly. I had ordered a treadmill from Dick's sporting goods thinking that the big box stores had it together and and after having to reorder another because the box was destroyed in shipping....I was then told that install could not happen for 2 1/2 months! My experience with Gym Doctors was A+. My elliptical of 8 years had slowly started to not run so smoothly. I've been using it a lot more often during the pandemic. I called Gym Docs to see if they could repair it, but it was not a high quality elliptical to begin with and the tech I talked to was very honest about how much it would cost to have it evaluated and repaired, and it was not worth the cost. I thought more about it and decided to invest in my health and get a better quality machine. I called Gym Doctors again - and the sales person helped to find a machine that would be available within a shorter period (weeks rather than months) and put it on order. It took a little longer to arrive, but this is a challenging time for all deliveries, perfectly understandable. The team that arrived for delivery wore masks, were very friendly, took my old machine away and quickly installed my new machine - from arrival to fully setup on my 2nd floor within 1 hour. Not to mention free delivery and haul away of my old machine! Super awesome. I did my first workout today, and this is going to be GREAT for my health. Very happy, thank you! read more

I have a 12 year old treadmill which I love. When it broke, I assumed I may need a new one. Nope! Chad from Gym Doctors performed a diagnosis and all it needed was a new belt and spring. Like with car repairs, we depend on the honesty, integrity and skill of repair people with our exercise equipment. Chad had all of that in spades. Without such integrity it is easy for consumers to be ripped off. My treadmill is fixed, at a very reasonable cost, by a pleasant and competent person. After purchasing a treadmill and spending hours putting the beast together just to use it a few hours and encounter issues was frustrating to say the least. Long story short Norditrack set-up Gym Doctors to service the machine. During my initial interaction to set-up the 1st service call I had a not so friendly rep on the phone. He made me feel like I was inconveniencing him. The 1st available appt. was a week out. He said they were booked solid and short staffed. The tech arrived on time and found the issue. The issue wasn't what the Norditrack rep. thought it was. So, the problem couldn't be fixed until the new motor was delivered. Since the Gym Doctors started the service they take over and coordinate ordering parts from the manufacturer. The part came a week later. This time when I called I spoke to a friendly female that made the 2nd service call appt. This time it was a week and a half out due to them being busy and short staffed still. The same tech from the previous appt. arrived before the scheduled time which was fine by me. He spent an hour getting the machine up and going again. He explained what the issue was and gave me tips for future reference. The tech was great A+ for him. He was friendly and knowledgeable. The company has a long wait for service appts. and the 1st rep. was rude on the phone. Misc. info: Closed weekends. read more

We have a small fitness room in our house with a couple of pieces of cardiovascular machines and a weight machine that we paid an arm and a leg for. Recently our treadmill is been feeling funny and just didn't feel safe to use. My girlfriend found these guys online and based on our initial phone communication we decided to have them repair our equipment. The service was truly a class act. The service guy Mike was very nice and professional. He arrived on time, and then asked us about what we've been experiencing with our equipment, and then got to work. An hour and twenty minutes later, he came and got me to test out our equipment, then we went over the regular maintenance. It would have been nice for the "specialty store" where we spent over $12K to tell us our equipment needs to be serviced periodically - which makes sense. I tested out all the equipment and everything felt like new again. Finally, Mike charged us for only an hour of service and we shook hands and he went off. All in all, great service for the price. Chad came to my house on time, was super pleasant and serviced my service dog's treadmill. A pulley had slipped & he figured out the problem in the first ten minutes. He listened to my concerns, explained what was needed to solve the problem and made the whole experience very nice. When I called to book the appointment the man on the phone was courteous and helpful - I was quite upset because finding someone to enter your home during covid to fix a dog treadmill versus a people treadmill was a tall order. Michael was excellent from start to finish. we called him for a repair of an Excercise bike and was extremely thorough and is a great guy and loves a chat. A day after he fixed everything we found a small noise coming from the front wheel and Michael came straight back- no charge. Michael worked on it until we found the issue. I have been a customer for two different fitness items--an elliptical and a recumbent bike. On both counts, Gym Doctors has been a fantastic find. First, we had our elliptical repaired by Gym Doctors. They were quick, fixed it right, and were much less expensive than anyone else. Then, I purchased a recumbent bike from them. I really like it, the bike works just like new, and it was considerably less expensive than others I saw of the same quality. They helped me load it in my car, and were very easy to work with. I work for a Rehab Company with four office in the Bay Area and they have been extremely helpful from start to finish. I dealt with Aaron. He was knowledgeable on product, specs, pricing, etc.. He was professional, courteous, friendly and prompt with his communication, including verbal, e-mail and proposals. The equipment can either be leased or bought out-right, which I appreciate. I love the freedom! These guys do a fantastic job of maintaining the equipment and we can always rely on them for any minor repairs. I am in the process of selling my house. I need to have a functional trainer moved so new carpeting can be installed. I need to have it stored in the garage and eventually have it assembled at the new house. The store where I bought them had quoted me a price where they want me to pay $300 just to have two people drive an hour each way. I was desperate and try to get a more reasonably priced. Gym Doctors gave me a reasonable rate. Chris came in within the time slot of the schedule. He nicely stacked all the weights and cleaned everything up. Overall a 10+ service. I'm one happy customer. I called Gym Doctors based on some positive reviews I read. When I called, I told the woman I spoke with that I had a LifeCore Fitness VST-4 elliptical that wasn't working properly, it felt like it was constantly in a locked position. She told me it would be $189 for the service call. I did say to her that I didn't want to spend $189 on the service call if parts were no longer available for the machine and that I was under the impression that despite there still be a website, LifeCore Fitness was out of business. She assured me they were not out of business and parts were still available. With that I booked the appointment. A very nice young man arrived, took the elliptical apart and showed me that the tension cable had snapped which is why it felt like the machine was locked. He too said this should be easy and that he should be able to return in a week to replace the cable. He put the machine back together so there weren't parts laying around the room. All great! I was happy that this was going to be easier than I had expected. A week later I get a call from Gym Doctors and the guy on the phone tells me he can't get a tension cable for the elliptical and that LifeCore Fitness has gone out of business. I told him that the repair man didn't think there would be a problem and that I was really upset since the original woman on the phone told me they were still in business with parts available otherwise I wouldn't have spent $189. He continued on talking about cable design and length. I told him the repair man measured it and took pictures. So he finally said to me, do you want me to try to find a cable for you. Yes that's exactly what I want. That was well over a month ago and I've never heard another word from him. I would be very cautious before using this company. If you know parts exist for your machine, by all means use them, the repair guy was great! I however feel they looked to score a quick $189 from me. read more

I called Daniel and Lvm to ask about servicing an elliptical that had a broke. He called back within an hour and unbelievable customer service. Explained to me what it would cost to replace the part and then happened to ask him if he had any used ellipticals instead. For what I would have to pay in servicing an old elliptical for a little more money Daniel that same evening delivered an amazing elliptical to my house and took the old one away. I hired Daniel and Al twice and am very pleased with Al's work and Daniel's service acumen. Al assembled one weight machine for me and later took apart another larger weight machine.
