Been coming here since I was in high school, and whenever I am back home in Portland this is one of my family's go to gyro spots. We usually order the gyro nachos because we all love the fried pita chips! Over the years the portion size has decreased but the portion size is usually more than enough for 2 people to share in a meal. Generally takes about 15-20 minutes for food to be prepared so we either order ahead or go to Fred Meyers to complete our shopping then come back to get our take out!

I picked this place because my friends suggested it, but I was disappointed overall at my experience. We ordered to go and picked up our order. Food - got the Lamb Gyro. Ample size for the price. However, boring bland flavor, but good enough. Nothing memorable. I've had better at other places in town that is packed with more flavor. 3/5 Cleanliness of restaurant - tables were dirty and not wiped. Napkins and straw wrappers on ground. 3/5 Service - when we got there they had our order under the wrong name. Then I noticed after 20 min of waiting they handed out orders to go to the wrong people. Not sure why they just assume and not actually call out people's names to pickup their order. One lady walked back in and found the right person to give their order to. My order went to a different person but we caught it in time. My food was messy to eat and I only got a single napkin. I was not at home eating it but at a nearby bar. Just wish a had at least one more napkin. 2/5 Ambiance - I would just take it to go. There was loud music playing and a TV with big dark slot on it and the place felt dirty. Furniture was old, cracked, and dirty looking. 3/5 I might try this place again when I'm in the area just to give it a fair chance, it it isn't something I'm excited about.

I went at around 5pm on a weekday. There was only one table being used and it was just me besides that. Environment: it was a very small place. They have about 6 small tables, with 2-3 people maybe and since their name is '2 Go,' I assume they want you to do take out :) Staff: very friendly, nice, and welcoming! Food: we ordered take outs. 1. #13 Shawarma wrap with lamb and beef. It had 1/2 tzatziki sauce and 1/2 spicy garlic sauce. Wrap means a very thin wrap vs the typical pita bread. It was charred nicely on both sides. There was a heartiful of meat inside along with veggies such as tomatoes and lettuce to lighten the heavier meats and onion and sauces that helped season the whole thing. It was really good. Not too salty and it was a good amount for $9.99. I would come back here again for this wrap for sure! 2. #23 Gyro 2 Go plate with lamb and beef. The rice was deliciously made and they gave us a good amount of lamb and beef. The slight downside was that there was more beef than lamb. Anyways, the salad was refreshing and their hummus was amazing! It also came with a big, light, fluffy pita bread and for $15.99, it was a good deal! We also asked for taziki sauce and tahini sauce on the side. It was my first time trying tahini sauce. Nothing outstanding but it is made out of grounded sesame seeds. It wasn't bad but the other sauces were a lot more flavorful. Overall, I was very pleased with both of my orders and can't wait to try more. It was fresh and still very warm even when I got home! It wasn't mushy or overcooked and appreciated them carefully cooking you food, which took about 10-15min for the three things we ordered.

Food is AMAZING!! The staff is super nice and friendly!! Super close to work so perfect for a quick lunch!

Been coming to this place for years, I love them because of their generous portions of protein making them a great place to eat after my workout. The owners are very nice and I enjoy the music they play in the restaurant. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a legitimate gyro spot

A super lowkey spot with great bang for your buck Mediterrean food. While we're there soo many people came in to pick up big orders of takeouts. Their menu is pretty straightforward: sandwiches and platters with variation of meats. I thought their Super Sandwich with Lamb Gyro was alright. I did like how full it was and how it's crispen on the outside. But the Gyro 2 Go Plate was a winner for me. Every component was delicious and fresh. The chicken was very well-seasoned. Pita bread was soft and warm and both the hummus and cucumber salad were delicious. Definitely plenty of food to split or really fill up one person. Oh, don't skip out on their Spicy Fries with feta cheese. Worth every bite. Very crispy yet light fries drowsed appropriately with their super good Spicy Garlic sauce. Man, that sauce was good. Creamy yet bright and tangy. This is a solid spot for a good meal!

Gyro 2 Go is my "2 go" place for Mediterranean food. They have a great variety of dishes, delicious flavors, fair prices and friendly service. I haven't had the opportunity to dine in as I discovered them in the last 2 years through this pandemic but their take out service has always been pleasant. My favorite dish is the Gyro 2 Go plate as it has hummus, salad, rice and your choice of protein. I like how you can also select the sauce that is drizzled on your protein because I know not everyone is a fan of tzatziki sauce. The naan comes on the side and is always hot and fresh, even through take out. I haven't tried other dishes yet because I'm so hooked on that one dish. However I'm very curious to try more as I'm sure the other dishes like a classic Gyro will be just as good. Highly recommend and always feels good to support local businesses!

Supposed to be lamb kebab, but it's not. It's boneless lamb chops, and it's chewy and not good at all.

This place used to be good. Not anymore. I ordered lamb kebab plate and it came out with boneless lamb chops (see the photo). These chips were chewy and had no taste at all. Their rice was covered in fried onions and I absolutely hate fried onions! There is nowhere on their menu it says that rice comes with fried onions! Very dissatisfied and disappointed. I will not come back and will go for lamb kebab to different place called Grab-a-gyro on SW Barbur Blvd.

I've been to Gyro 2 Go twice now and I feel like they are going to be part of the regular rotation. The staff is super friendly and the food is great! I tried the Lamb Super Shwarma which is great if you're hungry. Had absolutely zero complaints. Ingredients seemed fresh They have gotten my order right every time which is nice too since I always do something like omit onions. Definitely nice to use the online ordering on their website to just cruise by and pick it up. Will definitely be back and hope to start working through the menu! read more

Very generous portions of fresh, delicious food from an incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The chicken gyro and falafel pita, both with 1/2 tzatziki and 1/2 spicy garlic, were affordable and without any skimping on quality! Fries were fresh and well-seasoned. Cozy and clean inside, and you can tell they're timely with cleaning and restocking their soda machine. Picked up takeaway but will return to dine-in very soon. read more

Meh... On the wrong side of Beaverton at dinner time and didn't really want to ride to Hillsboro to hit up my favorite Gyro joint...that was a mistake on my part. It's not so much that the food here wasn't good...just more along the lines of not as excellent as that other place that I like to go to. The fries were hot and super crispy but the oil was dirty so specks of what I can only assume are granules of burnt falafel were all over the fries like some type of seasoning. Not bad...just from a visual perspective, not great. They lacked any sort of spice or flavor...and got really boring...I saw pictures of fries with sauce drizzled all over them with feta cheese...I missed out on how to order them like this...but I imagine if you were to figure that out...they'd be a homerun...they definitely need something to liven them up...and maybe clean oil. The Gyro was a huge let down...it's what I was craving...and it's what was an underperformer. There was a healthy amount of meat...the pita was soft, but maybe too soft as it was falling apart from the soggy mixed salad of veggies that were seeping into the bread. Almost as if they washed the veggies but didn't dry them and then tossed it with a dressing of sorts. Liquid ran down my arm and was hard to contain. The meat was delicious and flavorful, and as I said plentiful...but combined with the veggies it made an awful mess. I saw others in the restaurant eating theirs with a knife and fork...I'm not that refined :D Overall, it's a good place to stop and eat if you are shopping at Freddy's and don't want to mess with another stop...but this is more of a fast food Mediterranean restaurant than it is a place you're going to take friends and family to. read more

This place is so freaking good! It is definitely my favorite Mediterranean restaurant in the Portland area. I try to come here at least once a month and I'm always introducing my friends to it. It's located right next to Fred Meyers so lots of parking spaces! It's a small restaurant, but plenty of booths and tables. I typically get the spicy garlic fries and beef kofta plate. The fries are delicious, perfectly crispy and topped with their spicy sauce and feta cheese. Get the small size if it's for yourself or sharing with one extra person. My friend and I made the mistake of getting the large order and we barely made a dent! The beef kofta is seasoned just right and so juicy! They have the best saffron rice that comes with every plate along with fresh cucumber salad, pita bread, and hummus. The portions are huge and most definitely shareable. I always up end togoing my order and it lasts me for another one to three meals! The staff here is awesome and very friendly. read more

Dropped by Gyro2Go on 2 separate occasions and had a good experience each time! My go to order here is the veggie meza because I'm a glutton who wants to taste a little bit of everything. It comes with falafel, baba ghanoush, dolma, hummus, salad, and a giant pita so literally the best of ALL worlds. I also grabbed the Greek fries once because who can resist FRIED POTATOES. Overall, I really enjoyed the food but sometimes feel like the salad is a liiiittle on the bland side. I usually end up dolloping my hummus or baba ghanoush on it to make things a little bit more flavorful but honestly you get a ton of food for the price and can easily make two meals out of one veggie meza. The Greek fries are delish and come with a dipping sauce that's great too! Prices are really fair and honestly this is a great place for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. Parking is easy and you can order over the phone or online then pick up your order to go or just walk in and place it. Service is nice and I've always had a good experience when dropping by. Try it out if you're in the area and have a hankering for gyro/falafel/dolma, etc. read more

The feta salad was amazing. Just the right amount of lemon and tasted amazing. It could've been a meal unto itself. I ordered two gyros and had to wait a long time for them. They were really good but so overstaffed that I practically needed to take a shower after eating it. I had to dump the whole thing out in a tray and eat it with a fork because it was so messy.I would've preferred less food inside of it for an easier experience. read more

Went here for dinner last night with the yelp reviews in mind. And it did not disappoint. I got the gyro bowl and added fries and husb got the gyro 2 go plate, both with lamb and beef. Both came with a pita and portions were good. All the food was seasoned well, cooked well, and lots of flavor. I'm always wary of the veg portion of a gyro/gyro plate, but my bowl was fresh and crisp (and honestly, I wouldn't have minded if there was more). The fries were really crispy and were seasoned deliciously. And the spicy garlic sauce was delicious. I would put that on anything and everything it was so good. Definitely am wanting to come back and try more from their menu, especially, the falafel! Do not sleep on the spicy garlic sauce, but also get the tzatziki. read more

Very laid back but plant of flavorful dishes! You walk into a storefront type of establishment seeing big dishes at affordable prices coming out of the kitchen right in front of you. The gyros are huge... but you can get them even bigger! I love small quaint little places. That means they work harder for your business because they aren't touristy. Plus, it's very personal so the waitress isnt begged down with overloaded demands. The ambiance is pretty plain but the music definitely makes your shoulders jump. I love it! You get all of this color on your plate from the green and the meat is hot and tender. Last but not least... IT'S AFFORDABLE!!! One word... FALAFALS!!!! oh my gosh! They are delicious!!! I couldn't help but constantly dip it in the hummus and enjoy! I could have just a plate of those and hummus; I'd be thoroughly satisfied. Definitely coming back for dinner one day. read more

Excellent Covid precautions. Food only available for takeout. The bag with the order was artistically personalized with my name, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the falafel sandwich was just mediocre. The falafel balls themselves were mild in flavor, and the sandwich itself was overall quite bland. The fries were frozen product that lacked good potato flavor. Things I didn't try but took note of: Their gyro/schwarma meat looked low quality. On the positive side, there was a hotel pan of freshly made rice that looked enticing, so perhaps other items on the menu are more flavorful. read more

Got an order for takeout today. I got a classic gyro meal with fries and a drink. I got a falafel app and a hummus app for my bf. It was PLENTY of food for the two of us and everything was absolutely delicious. Even after the drive home the pitas were warm and so so good with that hummus! I saw a prior review that complained about "black specks on the fries" so I just want to mention that the fries are seasoned and that is what the black flecks are. They are delicious and go perfectly with a gyro sandwich! They also had to close early when I was there due to lack of staffing. There were two people working and they were so busy but the service was great. They did a fabulous job!! Can't wait to come back and try the other mouth-watering menu items! read more

Absolutely delectable gyro sandwiches!! I ordered the jumbo because I wanted feta on top, but the regular size would have been perfect. I'll have to try asking for feta added to the regular next time The combo upgrade for only $3 (maybe $3.50) is fabulous, and their fries are absolutely amazing. I might become a regular just for the fries. This is definitely my go to gyro place from now on! read more

APPLE PAY!! I have been driving and walking past this store since it opened and never stopped. My bad. A few nights ago my wife and I were in the area and pressed for time, saw Gyro 2 Go, and stopped. OMG! It was delicious. I had the Jumbo chicken gyro - tons of meat, very flavorful, and just great. My wife had a combo with a regular sized chicken gyro, fries, and a drink. Same response. The fries are also perfection. The service was happy, helpful, and efficient. I highly recommend Gyro 2 Go for anyone jonesing for this kind of food. And if you missed it, they take Apple Pay!! read more

The shwarma literally didn't need to be chewed! The rice was fragrant, soft, and light; a perfect complement to the perfectly seasoned gyro meat and tangy tzatziki. The big plate of it meant I have a joyous snack to look forward to later. As good as that all was, the baklava was perfect end. Dense where it should be dense and flaky where it should be flaky. Food is generally good. This experience with Sied (that might be the wrong name, muscular guy) was unnecessary and disrespectful. Stepped out side the counter essentially to raise his voice at me and try to intimidate me. I think this place is great and I'm bummed it took me so long to try it out! The Shawarma plate is my go-to and it's huge. Their taziki is really good, probably my favorite thing there! We went here last Sunday at 6:00 pm and received terrible service along with sub-par food. The girl helping us initially was nice but very timid with customers. The food took about 20 minutes, and there was a sign by the register stating that it could take that long. However, when the order arrived, a different girl brought only two of the three gyros we ordered over. When we asked about it she said that she didn't know and "literally just walked in." She went to check with the cook and I overheard him say that he will "fly it". At no point did she come back to tell us they were working on the order, and we waited about another 7 minutes. When she brought it over she said, "Sorry for the wait," and started to walk away. My boyfriend then said that service was not very good. She immediately blamed the poor girl at the register, stating it was her first week and that she was in training. When he told her that it was her service, she stared at us for a second and then said, "...okay..." and turned around and walked off. No one came to ask what was wrong, no manager got involved, and this employee did not do a very good job of "hiding" behind the partition to tell the other two employees what we said with a smirk on her face. ***Additionally, when you pay with a card you are prompted to add the tip before knowing what type of service you will receive. read more

Best Mediterranean food in the area and I have tried them all... from high-end full service restaurants like MEC to the food carts down town. Their hummus is a standout item, highly suggest ordering some hummus if you go. They told me they make it from scratch and you can tell! Their falafel is another phenomenal item at Gyro 2 Go... crispy on the outside and green from the fresh herbs on the inside. Also made from scratch. I always order the Gyro 2 Go plate #23 with chicken shawarma and spicy garlic sauce. It comes with hummus, a cucumber tomato salad, rice (the rice is the yellow rice, iykyk) and chicken. The reason is they delete the reviews which are honest and less then 4 stars. The guy who has tattoos and works in the kitchen has a zero customer manners and talks extremely badly and told me to get out of there because I didn't get my order right. Food was very very salty, if you want to get high blood pressure, welcome to eat here. I paid for food here and my review is authentic, before you contact yelp and pay them for good reviews only. Also, maybe get a professional training ? Clean your toilet and restaurant and serve good quality food with customer service which is professional. Good gyros are hard to come by in this neck of the woods but Gyros @ Go is delicious! I just got the gyro combo to go, I got a hefty meal for $6.95 (I couldn't even eat it all)! The meat was as tasty as it was plentiful and the fries were were awesome (honestly, I wasn't expecting much from the fries, but they were seasoned wonderfully and has great texture).
