Meh... On the wrong side of Beaverton at dinner time and didn't really want to ride to Hillsboro to hit up my favorite Gyro joint...that was a mistake on my part. It's not so much that the food here wasn't good...just more along the lines of not as excellent as that other place that I like to go to. The fries were hot and super crispy but the oil was dirty so specks of what I can only assume are granules of burnt falafel were all over the fries like some type of seasoning. Not bad...just from a visual perspective, not great. They lacked any sort of spice or flavor...and got really boring...I saw pictures of fries with sauce drizzled all over them with feta cheese...I missed out on how to order them like this...but I imagine if you were to figure that out...they'd be a homerun...they definitely need something to liven them up...and maybe clean oil. The Gyro was a huge let down...it's what I was craving...and it's what was an underperformer. There was a healthy amount of meat...the pita was soft, but maybe too soft as it was falling apart from the soggy mixed salad of veggies that were seeping into the bread. Almost as if they washed the veggies but didn't dry them and then tossed it with a dressing of sorts. Liquid ran down my arm and was hard to contain. The meat was delicious and flavorful, and as I said plentiful...but combined with the veggies it made an awful mess. I saw others in the restaurant eating theirs with a knife and fork...I'm not that refined :D Overall, it's a good place to stop and eat if you are shopping at Freddy's and don't want to mess with another stop...but this is more of a fast food Mediterranean restaurant than it is a place you're going to take friends and family to. read more

This place is really good! I highly recommend the Gyro Sandwich (lamb & beef), or if you're feeling really hungry, get the Jumbo Gyro because it includes a larger portion of the meat! Their fries are also a great side because they're crisp, salty, and includes a sprinkle of sumac on them! This place is so freaking good! It is definitely my favorite Mediterranean restaurant in the Portland area. I try to come here at least once a month and I'm always introducing my friends to it. It's located right next to Fred Meyers so lots of parking spaces! It's a small restaurant, but plenty of booths and tables. I typically get the spicy garlic fries and beef kofta plate. The fries are delicious, perfectly crispy and topped with their spicy sauce and feta cheese. Get the small size if it's for yourself or sharing with one extra person. My friend and I made the mistake of getting the large order and we barely made a dent! The beef kofta is seasoned just right and so juicy! They have the best saffron rice that comes with every plate along with fresh cucumber salad, pita bread, and hummus. The portions are huge and most definitely shareable. I've been to Gyro 2 Go twice now and I feel like they are going to be part of the regular rotation. The staff is super friendly and the food is great! I tried the Lamb Super Shwarma which is great if you're hungry. Had absolutely zero complaints. Ingredients seemed fresh They have gotten my order right every time which is nice too since I always do something like omit onions. Very generous portions of fresh, delicious food from an incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The chicken gyro and falafel pita, both with 1/2 tzatziki and 1/2 spicy garlic, were affordable and without any skimping on quality! Fries were fresh and well-seasoned. Dropped by Gyro2Go on 2 separate occasions and had a good experience each time! My go to order here is the veggie meza because I'm a glutton who wants to taste a little bit of everything. It comes with falafel, baba ghanoush, dolma, hummus, salad, and a giant pita so literally the best of ALL worlds. I also grabbed the Greek fries once because who can resist FRIED POTATOES. Overall, I really enjoyed the food but sometimes feel like the salad is a liiiittle on the bland side. I usually end up dolloping my hummus or baba ghanoush on it to make things a little bit more flavorful but honestly you get a ton of food for the price and can easily make two meals out of one veggie meza. The Greek fries are delish and come with a dipping sauce that's great too! Prices are really fair and honestly this is a great place for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. Parking is easy and you can order over the phone or online then pick up your order to go or just walk in and place it. Service is nice and I've always had a good experience when dropping by. Very laid back but plant of flavorful dishes! You walk into a storefront type of establishment seeing big dishes at affordable prices coming out of the kitchen right in front of you. The gyros are huge... but you can get them even bigger! I love small quaint little places. That means they work harder for your business because they aren't touristy. Plus, it's very personal so the waitress isnt begged down with overloaded demands. The ambiance is pretty plain but the music definitely makes your shoulders jump. I love it! You get all of this color on your plate from the green and the meat is hot and tender. Last but not least... IT'S AFFORDABLE!!! One word... FALAFALS!!!! oh my gosh! They are delicious!!! I couldn't help but constantly dip it in the hummus and enjoy! I could have just a plate of those and hummus; I'd be thoroughly satisfied. Definitely coming back for dinner one day. read more

Went here for dinner last night with the yelp reviews in mind. And it did not disappoint. I got the gyro bowl and added fries and husb got the gyro 2 go plate, both with lamb and beef. Both came with a pita and portions were good. All the food was seasoned well, cooked well, and lots of flavor. I'm always wary of the veg portion of a gyro/gyro plate, but my bowl was fresh and crisp (and honestly, I wouldn't have minded if there was more). The fries were really crispy and were seasoned deliciously. And the spicy garlic sauce was delicious. I would put that on anything and everything it was so good. Excellent Covid precautions. Food only available for takeout. The bag with the order was artistically personalized with my name, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the falafel sandwich was just mediocre. The falafel balls themselves were mild in flavor, and the sandwich itself was overall quite bland. The fries were frozen product that lacked good potato flavor. Things I didn't try but took note of: Their gyro/schwarma meat looked low quality. Got an order for takeout today. I got a classic gyro meal with fries and a drink. I got a falafel app and a hummus app for my bf. It was PLENTY of food for the two of us and everything was absolutely delicious. Even after the drive home the pitas were warm and so so good with that hummus! I saw a prior review that complained about "black specks on the fries" so I just want to mention that the fries are seasoned and that is what the black flecks are. They are delicious and go perfectly with a gyro sandwich! They also had to close early when I was there due to lack of staffing. The shwarma literally didn't need to be chewed! The rice was fragrant, soft, and light; a perfect complement to the perfectly seasoned gyro meat and tangy tzatziki.
