I ordered via Door Dash so I can't speak to the atmosphere of the restaurant or friendliness of the staff. Within my order I selected extra sauce and DID NOT recieve it. I also included special instructions to have "salad only, NO RICE" and this was not honored. The food was packaged well with a generous portion size. Gyro Grill does false advertising! We are so upset with them right now. We just spent $52 and they sent four aluminum containers with mushy rice and gyro meat. What we ordered was four gyro platters with salad. They sent no pita bread, no white sauce, etc. I get better gyros from a food cart on the street in New York City. Ordered through UberEats late night because it was the only place open besides White Castle. Was a little hesitant because of the yelp rating, but was thoroughly pleased with everything thing from the delivery time to the quality and portions of food. I ordered the hummus, kibbeh which I've never had before but thought was ok, buffalo wings that were large moist and crispy, and the lamb platter which was just as delicious as those other Guys. Would not recommend this place. Its no where close to the mediterranean chicken gyro plate. They use the low quality rice, where as other mediterranean places use basmati rice. Their white sauce is too sour and they did not put any hot sauce. I payed $6.49 as booking fees and all I got was yelling from the delivery partner and horrible food. I came here today in hopes that I Obtain some delicious halal food and boy was I not disappointed. Their lamb and chicken is probably the best I've had in Jersey. The owner Aldo was very nice and treated me like family even though it was my first time going there. Don't let the fact that this place is attached to a gas station discourage you from trying their food, this place is the definition of a hidden gem. Total shit box. The only reason there is business here is because there's nothing else to eat late night. The prep area is dirty and the food is cross contaminated. The prices are too expensive. The veggies are mishandled. It will take you approx. 15-20 minutes to even order a dish from items that are premade. There's serious frost in the cold Buffett. No steam from the hot Buffett. Even when it comes to the store itself, the chips are dusty and the fridges contain juice containers with mold on the bottom. Total racket.
