Look i never had a problem with these guys until now, yes good is good but THEY DO NOT CHANGE THE GREASE, after trying these guys for the first time, my husband threw up 3 times after eating the breaded whole wings. he had the sweats, throwing up and not feeling so good. Yall should be really ashamed of y'all selves for selling old greasy chicken and other foods. i will be going to the health department and make sure you weep what you sow. you should not be open if you can't properly clean your kitchen and change the Grease. read more

Two people working, one cook, one counter. I've eaten here before, wasn't impressed, but it had been clean. No customers but the dining area had dirty tables and floor. The menu at the counter was filthy and I said something about wiping it off. Dinner came with a drink, but the coolers were barely filled. I ordered 2 chili dogs, and now I'm not sure if I want to eat them . Other than Taco bell there's little to choose from unless I drive further. I once visited a restaurant where, after I ordered my food, a cockroach appeared on the table. My experience at "Gyro King and Wings" in Toledo, Ohio managed to be worse than that - at least that restaurant owned up to the issue when I left without eating any of the food that I ordered, and didn't charge me for it, unlike Gyro King and Wings. My mother and I were in town for a concert on 4/17/2025, and seeing that Gyro King and Wings were one of the few places open afterwards, and both of us being diabetic and needing to keep our blood sugar regulated, we ordered delivery, paid online, with 20 percent tip in advance - the total was nearly $50 (we even paid an extra dollar for a side of ranch dressing for some wings). We ordered just after 11 PM and they closed at midnight, and our estimated delivery time was between 11:30 and 12:06. The food NEVER showed up - we tried calling after the delivery time estimate passed but by then they were closed and didn't answer. We asked the front desk to let us know if a delivery driver arrived, and they never did. We called when they opened the next day at 11 AM - hours after we checked out and left Toledo. The first person to answer was professional, but the manager then got on the line and insisted that his driver insisted that the food was delivered and so we would get no refund. Then the driver was told, apparently, to call us, and he did. He insisted he called the night before but that we didn't answer - I did find we had a missed call - it never rang. Fair enough, that isn't his fault that the call didn't get through - but one call, no text? And even if it had rang, we may not have answered it, as it wasn't a Toledo number or one on the business's website and so we probably would've assumed it was spam anyway - a simple text would've fixed this. His story was that he couldn't find our room - we were just around the corner from the elevator on the second floor and the hotel had a standard room numbering system. He claimed that after we didn't answer his call, the front desk repeatedly tried calling. That was clearly not true. He then claims that the hotel manager assured him that he'd get the food to us, and so he left it with the manager, whom he described as a man. The person working the desk was a woman. I confirmed with the hotel afterwards that only a woman was working there that night, that there was no record of a delivery attempt, and that hotel policy forbids employees from accepting a delivery for a guest without that guest present. The delivery driver insisted that we were lying and kept demanding we turn around and drive hours back to Toledo to check the hotel security camera footage with him, which is ridiculous and, I assume, just a ploy to waste our time out of spite. My guess is that either the driver was lying outright and kept the food himself, or else he simply didn't carefully read the very clearly labeled address (it was written in both the address line and the notes section on the order for maximum clarity) and went to the wrong hotel. (The clerk at our hotel said that this does happen at times with deliveries, since the hotels are all near each other.) Either that, or a stranger claimed to be a manager and scammed the food off of him because he didn't bother to check. Either way, the restaurant didn't own up to the mistake and refused our refund, and so we were out $50 for food we never received. If you're in Toledo, avoid "Gyro King and Wings" at all costs. I have never been ripped off by a restaurant like this before and I'll be glad never to deal with them again. I wish I could give it less than one star. read more

I have never seen smaller chicken wings! They were more the size of a robin than a chicken. The place felt dirty. There was garbage on the sidewalk and parking lot in front of the restaurant. The wings and fries tasted good, but not worth going back. read more

The food was absolutely terrible. The grilled cheese was dry and flavorless, and the chicken chunks were dry, tough, and stringy. Then the mac and cheese had overcooked noodles, lack of flavor, and a cheese sauce that tasted absurdly watered down. I would personally never order from here again. Possibly the greatest deal anywhere I've ever been. They have a wall of 20 combo items ALL FIVE DOLLARS. For once it's nice to go to a place where your dollar can really stretch that's not somewhere terrible like McDonald's. The place is located in a random plaza and seems the be the most popping place around there. When you walk in their menu can be pretty overwhelming to look at. They pretty much have everything you can think of such as pizza, burgers, wraps , wings, sandwiches , seafood etc etc. Knowing this, don't expect the taste to be anything crazy amazing, remember it's only $5. That being said it didn't taste bad at all! I've definitely had worse shawarma paying more. The cashier was extremely nice when taking our orders and the only down side is they do seem to take a little but long to serve but after overheating them I think it's due to them just being that busy since they participate in a lot of delivery services. read more

The food from here def hits the spot. The Hala bowls are sooo good. Spicy if you want. The hala sauce is addictive and I always order more. Service is decent fast and they are nice over the phone. Delivery was surprisingly fast but maybe it was because it was at a random time. The seasoned fries were decent and the Greek bowl was meh- would not recommend. Overall, I would say this place had the best "halal bowls" in Toledo and open late for late cravings. read more

The lady with the hijab is very rude. I asked for something on the menu and could not hear her over the face mask so had to ask a couple times about what she was asking. My girlfriend responded for me and the lady responded aggressively with "That's what I've been asking." We were asked to wait for 15 minutes which we did and went back inside to grab our food. The lady saw us coming in and yelled to the back of the kitchen if the food was ready. The cook said he needed more time so she continued to verbally abuse the chef. He couldn't walk around our apartment complex to find the number after explicit instructions given online and over the phone?? At any rate, they did honor my request for a Greek salad instead of a house salad...But they don't have beets.... coming from the Metro-Detroit area, I find this strange. Over all, tasty and portions seemed right for the price. I will order again if feeling nostalgic of home. I must say that this place is GREAT. My fav. items so far is thr buffalo gyro and their grape leaves. Grape leaves are so delicious and you get a dozen for only $5.50! It's categorized as an appetizer, but one order is enough to fill me up.You MUST order them with lemon and extra gyro sauce, you are gonna want it! A little confused how to rate this place. The food here isn't good.. It's edible but it tastes like mediocre frozen food you can get at the grocery store. On the other hand, I perfectly understand why someone would love this place. It's insanely cheap and a good value and sometimes you're just so tired that you don't even want to take 10 minutes to make dinner. I get it. If I was that type, and was fine sacrificing food quality, I would give this place 5 stars. I have never seen a restaurant have food at this value in my life. The only time I've seen cheaper is at school cafeterias where I got discounted lunches. They have so many meals that are $5 and the portions are so big that I can't even finish it. Little Caesar's hot n ready value has nothing on this restaurant. But at the end of the day, when I personally go out to eat, I go for more quality food. So this restaurant wasn't my cup of tea. I ordered the gyro combo for only 5 bucks to go. I received my order in less than 10 minutes... everything was hot and fresh and delicious. The gyro meat wasn't over cooked and there was a lot of hot fries and a tub of ketchup with the order along with a can of soft drink of my choice. The staff is friendly and you can tell it's a family establishment. They have a variety in the menu and specials written on the wall. The owner in the kitchen and lady at the counter greeted me with a smile so I felt welcomed as soon as I stepped in the restaurant. Five stars. read more

This place really out did themselves! Having never really thought of this place as a pizza place, that has all changed! I order a large Buffalo Chicken pizza last night, as I had company over and we were all a little hungry. This place was close and the price was decent for a large specialty pizza. When the pizza arrived and the guy handed me the box, I was blown away at how heavy it was!! I quickly passed the box around to everyone so they too could feel just how heavy it was. I immediately assumed it was probably really thick crust. However, I was wrong. It was the toppings!!! I have never had a pizza with such large portions of toppings as this one had. The amount of chicken and size of the pieces put on top was crazy. It was literal chicken CHUNKS on top of this pizza! Not to mention the pizza it's self tasted amazing. I was full after 2 pieces!! Also, my guests were raving about it until they left! They were all sure to get the location and name of Gyro King & Wings too!
