They never get my orders correct, order at least once a week and every time it is completely wrong or missing, Food is delicious that is why I keep going back, but enough is enough, they make us drive the food back and let us leave un happy, we ordered buffalo/bbq chicken wings well needles to say there were not any bbq on it, brought them back they said we had the wrong container, went home and brought the other order back and told manager to try the wings he refused, he insisted he put bbq on them, told them they just did this last week, refused to make new wings, will never order again until they get their act together, then get home and the forgot our fries. read more

This is a great place for takeout or delivery. They have a catering menu and I bring one of their Greek salads to family get togethers and everyone always loves it. It is loaded with feta cheese and potato salad and always tastes super fresh. Their pizza is really good as well. Their gyros are good - but I have had better. not a single mask in sight, and they look at you like you're crazy if you come in with one on. workers don't wear masks or gloves of any sort and the place just looks dirty. didn't feel comfortable eating from there so i had them cancel my order and got out of there as quick as i could. it's a shame because they have great food and i prefer to support small businesses, but lack of respect towards their customers by exposing them to their germs, is a deal breaker. you can have personal beliefs and separate that from your business, decent people do it everyday. i doubt i am the only lost customer and with small businesses like this, every customer counts. sad they can't recognize how serious this pandemic is. read more

Best Philly Cheesesteak around here. Decent gyros. Been going here for 30 years I think it's been. They haven't always been the cleanest and best but since the new owner got it probably over a decade ago at least, it's much better. They seem to have loyal staff that have been there a long time so it's nice to know it's not always some teenager screwing with your food. These guys are super nice, been there for years and work hard. My only gripe is 20.00 minimum for delivery. That's a lot for one person to have to order to get delivery and if you're at 19.25 - they don't ever say "yea, close enough". But that's just the guys following the boss' rules so what can ya do? To help our small business restaurants stay afloat, we picked up the Wednesday special 2 for 1 gyros today. We understand the price has increased and are willing to pay more. But what we dont support is that neither the cashier or chef wore masks, there was no support for maintaining 6 ft distance, and no other customer wore masks. The food was good. No issue there. But the blonde curly haired kid at the counter didn't pack everything we ordered. Got home, discovered the spanakopita missing - had to drive all the way back from Dunedin to get it. Kid at the counter says, "Oh, YOU forgot your spanakopita." Husband says, "no, I did not forget it. YOU forgot to put it in the bag and I had to drive all the way back from Dunedin to get it. What will you do to make this right?" Here is how Gyro King makes such a big inconvenience right - "all I can do is offer you a free brownie." Not good enough. Sadly, we will not be back, though the food was good. This is a typical fast food greek restaurant with the usual greek fare and a hint of Italian take out. At first glance you may not think much of it but you have to understand that the place is mainly take out and soon realize it's not the place for a first date. That being said, I really enjoyed the food. I am a big salad eater and I loved their Greek salad with potato salad on top which I understand is typical. Been here many times in the past & come here about 3-4 times a year. They have outstanding burgers & REAL Greek salads with potato salad at the bottom. Very friendly service which shows they are family owned. This time I got a small mini Greek salad & chicken melt with fries, they have plenty to choose from on the menu. Greek salad was great as usual but I could've done without the chicken melt, fries are potato fries with a sweet taste to them, unusual & different but good. The chicken melt was not good, it seemed the chicken was boiled or something to that nature. The toast was great & the sauce that went on it but the chicken was chewy, rubbery & at times hard to sink yur teeth into. I will not be getting that again. If yu are trying to get out of the parking lot headed north, good luck! Not their fault but hard to make a left turn leaving. The other thing is they have a tip jar on the counter but also on the receipt as well, am I suppose to tip for them making my food? I don't leave a tip but then I feel guilty, I don't know why. HUGE portions, so delicious it's just not fair!! I got a Philly cheese steak pizza style (something they have on the menu) with marina, cheese, and pepperonis on the Philly! The steak was cooked perfectly and i had to eat it in slow motion it was so good. My boyfriend got a chicken gyro. Fast, cheap, yummy. Key is to not order the BOGO items. The First visit, we had the BOGO cubans...hence the previous unhappy review. This time we were HUNGRY and got a reg. gyro, Jr. Gyro, 10 mild wings, and cheese fries (Oink oink)!! The large gyro was too much for hubby to eat, the Jr. Would've been perfect for him. But the taste was dead on perfect. They had a lil sauce inside to flavor the meat, and a small side of sauce to use while eating :) The wings were AMAZINGLY crunchy! We were looking for a take-out place while staying in Palm harbor. As usual we followed what yelpers suggest. We ordered gyro monster and buffalo chicken wings. The gyro was loaded with meat. But too much sauce inside made the taste so weird and pita bread so saggy. The chicken wings were ok and didn't have much flavor. It seems that those wings were not marinated. Maybe just fried and dipped in the buffalo sauce. And we didn't get any blue cheese and celery. We ordered potato salad but got Greek salad. I love this place and eat there 3 times a week. Don't let the name fool you. They have many more items than gyros . I am a regular with chicken souvlaki on a pita rotating with a turkey sub which is amazing. The crew is friendly and sincere. Never again will I eat here. I have eaten at Gyro King multiple times, and always been satisfied. Probably a 3-4-start place. Until today. I ordered a gyro and a large soda. I asked for a little (and I emphasized a 'little' extra sauce, as their gyro tends to be heavy on the meat, and IMO a little dry, with limited condiments and sauce). The guy said 'Oh, extra sauce, we put that on the side'. Fine, whatever. The bill was $11.25, which i thought a little steep, but I was really tired and hungry, so I said nothing. The sandwich was ready before we finished the cash transaction, which is not a good sign, meaning the sandwich was pre-made. The sandwich was fine, but as always at this place the condiments (tomato, sauce, etc.) was really thin. 4-star. Then as I was eating, I looked at the bill. They charged me $0.75 for the 'little extra sauce (a pre-filled 4 ounce container of sauce, when all I wanted was a 'little' extra. They they charged me $3.25 for the soda. The styrofoam (ick, I hate styrofoam-have they not heard of pollution) cup was huge, 32 ounces. But not only was this WAY over-priced (this is more than 7-11 charges for their largest soda, a Double Gulp, at 64 ounces,) it was more than the printed menu price (the board at the ordering area says $3.00-I double checked on the way out). So, they charged me $1.00 ($.75 + $.25) too much, for a pre-made sandwich. They got me this time, but never again. read more

I dont think I ever had a complaint, great pizza, wings, philly steaks... but today I ordered the Friday special "COD and Fries with Slaw" and when I got it home and took a bite, it was not COD, sadly it was Swai.... I heard there are places substituting this cheaper fish but I would hope they would advertise without naming the fish, if you say COD, I expect COD... and yes I know the difference... I would have given a lower review but like I said this is my first time disappointed. And I did call the manager and he did say he would take care of me next time I was in, so i dont want to anyone to think they are not trying to take care of the matter, my preference would just be to serve what you advertise please, I can still taste that damn cheap swai in my mouth.. yuk..... read more

Big dumpster in front of the entrance that smell horrid. That ruined my appetite right off the back. I waked in and the floors were sticky. I have tried the gyros on two occasions and they are not very good in my opinion. Both times the meat was over cooked and dry. I also tried the pizza which was also just bland and not very impressive. Worst experience ever. I had left work to go to a doctors appointment and we wanted to eat so my mom called in an order of Greek Salads to Gyro King which they said would be ready in 15 minutes. An hour goes by and I finally get out of my doctors appointment and we go to Gyro King. The girl at the counter rings me up and I pay for it, thinking she'd give me my salads and Id be on my way, nope! She pushes me aside and starts helping other customers and Im standing there waiting for her to hand me my salads. I can literally see my order on the table behind her but she wasnt handing me them. So about 10 minutes goes by she finally hands me my salads. So I go back to the car and notice she didnt even give me forks. I go back in and the lady is busy chatting with one of the cooks and I have to basically yell to get her attention. I ask her for a couple forks and she gives me them and then goes wait, we forgot your pita bread... so im like okay... The pita bread wasnt even ready I had to wait for him to heat it up... cut it up... for like 10 minutes and Im just thinking WTF i need to go back to work I dont have time for this... after 15 minutes the girl finally hands me my pita bread and im just like jesus AGE christ I just wasted like 25 minutes that I couldve been at work. I will never order from this place again, this is a place that is not for you if your in a rush. read more

Close to the house, buy one, get one gyros on Wednesdays. Cannot beat it. Great fries, easy to get in and out. I only had one issue with the Wednesday buy one get one. An older gent was in front of me, it was minutes till the time when the buy one get one kicks in. He was covered in drywall mud and paint and had a physical condition that made me feel for him. He wanted the deal, but could not wait two minutes as he was having difficulty standing. They refused him the second sandwich. I lost a little respect for the establishment at that moment, And felt compelled to say something about it. But I didn't. I do not think that I can ever forget that day, that moment. The man said nothing, he walked, as best as he could, to his vehicle, and drove away. He was needy, but a few minutes early. Give him the friggen sandwich, for the love of Pete! I know rules are rules, but, cmon, use your heads. Lots of people in line saw this, not just me. Maybe I'm just too sensitive. Great meal, any day... Great deal on Wednesdays. I saw that this Palm Harbor, FL restaurant advertised "Brick Oven Pizza" and wanted to try them for the first time. I have had Brick Oven Pizza in the past and just loved the difference in taste. I ordered my pizza and planned to wait since I know that it usually takes a very short time to cook. I came back only to find that my pizza was still in the oven and that the "Brick Oven" was just a regular pizza oven with a faux brick façade. Not a true brick oven at all. I had the opportunity to watch as the lone employee answered phones, took orders and rang up customer and then went back to Hand Stretching the next pizza. I saw where his hands were before he did this but did not know where they were before that! His hands were not washed in between. Once home, we ate the pizza but could not figure out what one of the overpowering tastes was. We still don't. We had a couple slices remaining and put them in the fridge since pizza always tastes good the next day. This, however, left such a poor taste from the night before, it went right into the trash the next morning. Not only were we misled by the "Brick Oven" advertising, but after watching the other pizzas being made without proper hand cleansing and then having the taste be very disappointing including the crust (which could not hold the weight of a slice), this will never be given a second chance. Disappointed all around. They also may want to clean the windows periodically. Pretty dirty place all around. read more
