So I went in and overheard a woman praising them for having THE BEST GYROS she ever tasted.Great price for a meaty lamb/beef gyro. Wished they added lettuce and tomatoes and more sauce. Didn't realize until I brought it home. Taste of meat good.. the feta I had them add was a bit overpowering and took away from the meat. Would recommend without. The exterior and really, the interior as well, really don't make this place super attractive. That said, the food is quite good. Prices are definitely reasonable and portions are ample. If you're looking for ambience, go elsewhere. If you want some good grub and a decent price, made to order, this could be your joint. They have a daily special that you should definitely look into. Call them and they'll tell you over the phone, totally cool like that. All the dudes working in their said hello and were friendly the last time I went in. In-laws had Philly cheesesteaks, which are as big as you get in Philly (and they really liked them), wife had a chicken souvlaki with feta (she loved it), and I pillaged their gyro...wicked good. This joint is not a typical Greek restaurant as they have a limited number of Greek offerings. They serve all kinds of different sandwiches, burgers, fries, that sort of thing--kind of like to go bar food. You can get pizza on the opposite end of the restaurant and they even serve slices there. I checked it out--their slices looked purdy good to me, especially the Sicilian cuts...thems wuh monsta sized! Impressively bad. First thing I noticed upon walking in was the grime everywhere and the greasy, slippery floors. This is two restaurants in one, with sandwiches on one side and pizza on the other. The pizza side was very obviously once a convenience store that now features painted plywood over the reach in beverage coolers; it looks like shit. The oven looked cool, but the slices looked sad as hell. I still ordered one to go. First clue that it was gonna be a fail were the screen marks on the crust. Why have a brick oven and cook on a screen? I also order a cheesesteak bomb, which is a Cheesesteak with peppers, onions and mushrooms. I loved the Amorosa roll, but the thick unmelted slice of cheese on top was a no-no. I don't want to bite into cold cheese on my hit sandwich. They did use fresh mushrooms, as opposed to canned, so there's that. Overall, the sandwich was a 3 star, the pizza was a 0 star and the cleanliness was a 1 star. The staff was friendly, but they did try to impose a debit card minimum purchase, which is not illegal, but does violate bank card terms. My husband and son went around 9 an hour before they close. The woman taking their order was rude and seemed annoyed taking their order. He also had ordered chicken souvlaki skewer since it states on their website menu chicken souvlaki but it is really chicken gyro it needs to be re-worded. When he asked for the skewer she rudely tried ti argue with him about what was on the website. The line cook had told her to give my husband and son a free drink since they had to wait a bit and he probably felt embarrassed from how she was acting and she had physically said to the line cook in front of my husband and 8 year old son " they shouldn't have come in this late ". Wait at the counter was terrible only to have food flung over the counter at me when it was quickly rushed together. This is the Small Greek Salad we received which had browning lettuce with rotten cucumbers which can make you very sick and a terrible taste... total waste of money as I was scared to eat it in fear of getting sick . Service was sub par for what I would consider acceptable and no one was following current county standards with COVId-19 precautions/ requirements. I go to Gyro King usually at least once a week, they have excellent service, get the mail ready within 15 to 20 minutes after your order, and friendly staff. It can be a pain to pull out of the parking lot at rush-hour, which is my only complaint. I am a veryy big fan of the gyros, shlomo gourmet across the street is my favorite restaurant in this town, but these gyros are hard to beat. Get their tzatziki side with it. I don't think their chicken wings are that great, but if you get them buy one get one it's not too bad. The pizza is brick oven and I would say the quality is in between chain pizzerias and mom and pop authentic italian ones. You really can't go wrong with the pizza either. The Philly cheese steaks are good, I would get them all the time if they had a better Monday special for them. the Greek salads with potato salad are to die for if that's what you're looking for, although I like the variety of salads and creativity of the restaurant across the street more. Overall, I highly recommend this place for the most part. 9/10 read more

We've been going to Gyro King since moving to the neighborhood in 2010. They have great sandwiches, gyros and lots of other tasty treats. If you like tater tots, you must try these. They're crispy, salty and amazing. The sandwiches and gyros are huge, typically enough meat for two regular-sized sandwiches. They offer a Monster Gyro, but I wouldn't order it unless splitting with a few people. To make things even better, they opened a brick oven pizza parlor next door, so you can pick up a gyro, tots and a large pizza all in one trip. read more

Yes... The food is really good, but I will certainly miss it because I will not be back. The reason why I will not be back is the menu says my Gyro was going to be $8.50, When they rang up my Gyro, they said well they're getting new menu boards so the Gyro will be $9.75. That's too bad if you would get a drink and a fry with it, but there were no fries, they were extra and I ordered a small drink and it cost me $3.00 For a small fountain drink that is ridiculous. Then on top of that, I used a credit card so they charged me a credit card fee of $50 cents. So my dinner last night was $13.25 and I got a small Coke and a gyro without any fries. read more
