I am revising my previous review due to TERRIBLE customer service. We have been going to or ordering from Gino's ONCE A WEEK OR MORE for the past 20 years. AND tipping them 20% for every pick up. Tonight ended our relationship with them, however. After having one of their employee's (Andrea) argue with me on the phone about a $2-$3 salad, she then verbally confronted my husband the moment he walked through the door to pick up our order. And the acting manager (Kyle) hid in the back & didn't even acknowledge or defuse the situation. Seriously guys?!?!!? Twenty years of WEEKLY business and you argue & debate literally a handful of lettuce with a loyal customer that has supported you throughout the years....throughout Covid??? Apparently the hundreds of dollars we spend, excuse me SPENT, there over the years weren't appreciated at all. And neither were the generous tips we gave for carryout. Yep...because of your poor, argumentative, & confrontational customer service, you have now lost good & loyal customers. If you're looking for checkered tablecloths & candles dripping over old Chianti bottles, go someplace else. While Gino's is known for its great pizza, don't overlook its Trattoria style authentic Italian cuisine. The mussels marinara are unmatched as are the piccata dishes. All of pasta sauces are from your Nonna's cuchina and the gnocchi rivals my own mother's especially with the chunky marinara. Prices won't strain the budget. Staff is both effusive and efficient. Okay, so it is the weekend of the Valspar golf tournament so crowds are higher than usual. GF and I are observing Lent-no meat Fridays-and ordered 2 pasta dishes(Her:Manicotti Me:Eggplant Parmigiana) for delivery. 30 minutes later the order arrived and I can state both dishes were DELICIOUS. Sauce was flavorful; both dishes were still warm( kudos to delivery) and even the salad consisted of romaine lettuce ( which can be 'iffy'), sliced tomato, cucumber,black olives and a slice of red onion. We'll try the pizza next time, but Gino's is a Go-To for satisfying food when you want delivery in Palm Harbor. We have been eating at Gino's for more than 15 years. We first came here for a Friday night date - and then returned every Friday for date night for the next six months. We tried almost every item on the menu. My favorite is the stuffed shells. Husband's favorite is the sausage pizza. After 6 months, we ordered take out or ate in every month or every other month for a Friday night date. The wait staff was and still is the best - friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Tonight, during this quarantine, we carried out one white and one sausage pizza. The cashier was friendly and quick. We miss Nicole, our usual wait staff. We ordered large pizzas so we could have leftovers next week. They were as good as we expected, with the same tasty crust. We ate every bite of our two slices apiece. Be mindful of the hours as they are wrong. The US 19 location closes at 8 every night. They also apparently have a rule that they dont do slices after 3 pm? In my book a good pizza starts with the crust. I hadn't been to Gino's in forever. He used to be a customer of ours at Club Chicago where I DJed in Tarpon Springs. I was going weekly to Leo's Italian Grill before but, Leo retired recently so, I had to find a new place to get a pizza. I tried 3 other ones and none of them had a good crust. I decided to order a Pepperoni Pizza from Gino's yesterday and I'm impressed with the crust and the pepperonis. The crust had a good taste to it and the pepperonis were placed on the pizza perfectly and tasted good! This was a Great Pizza! Nothing like pizza the night before Thanksgiving, lol. We tried Gino's & the cheese pizza was just average. The crust was not crisp on the bottom but almost spongy. There was plenty of sauce & cheese. But the sauce didn't pop with any flavor. The cheese was also very plain. This really didn't remind me at all of the pizza I get in NY, even though the restaurant has NY in its name. The workers were very kind however. I reviewed this place a few years ago. I got hung up when I tried to order so I went elsewhere. I unknowingly gave them another chance when I ordered from them on a food delivery app a month or two ago without realizing it was the same place. To be fair I am updating to say their food was pretty good! We got the Grandma's Pizza and it was good, it had a crispy medium thin crust (they describe as extra thin pan) with a thick cheese layer and then a strip of sauce on TOP of the cheese with some fresh basil on it. It was a little plain (app didn't allow to add on any toppings) but that's just because it was a plain cheese pizza. But the crust and the reverse order actually made it better and it heated up nice the next day. I see from other reviews that the service is still an issue so the food delivery apps are probably the way to eat there if you like a good service experience. read more

Had to change our review after this not so lovely experience -- we've been ordering delivery from Gino's for a few years but 15 minutes after I called in an order I received a call from Gino's telling me they would not deliver after all. Seriously? If they told me they were having delivery issues when we called that would be one thing, but to call back after 15 minutes? Not cool! Then to add to the mess, they still charged my credit card which I now have to go through the process of disputing. We'll be ordering from Queen's from now on! read more
