We have been eating at Gino's for more than 15 years. We first came here for a Friday night date - and then returned every Friday for date night for the next six months. We tried almost every item on the menu. My favorite is the stuffed shells. Husband's favorite is the sausage pizza. After 6 months, we ordered take out or ate in every month or every other month for a Friday night date. The wait staff was and still is the best - friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Tonight, during this quarantine, we carried out one white and one sausage pizza. The cashier was friendly and quick. We miss Nicole, our usual wait staff. We ordered large pizzas so we could have leftovers next week. They were as good as we expected, with the same tasty crust. We ate every bite of our two slices apiece. We will keep the rest in the fridge, or freeze for later in the month. We've done that before, and leftovers are just as good as fresh. #YelpsBigNightIn @YelpTampaBay

Be mindful of the hours as they are wrong. The US 19 location closes at 8 every night. They also apparently have a rule that they dont do slices after 3 pm? I've had slices before after 3(2 days ago The lady on the phone said " I can do one slice" That made no sense as you make pies all night and you can't just take 2 slices off a pie and add mushrooms? Sad to hear they treat repeat customers like this as I love their pizza but this was ridiculous. What a stupid rule to not do slices after 3.

In my book a good pizza starts with the crust. I hadn't been to Gino's in forever. He used to be a customer of ours at Club Chicago where I DJed in Tarpon Springs. I was going weekly to Leo's Italian Grill before but, Leo retired recently so, I had to find a new place to get a pizza. I tried 3 other ones and none of them had a good crust. I decided to order a Pepperoni Pizza from Gino's yesterday and I'm impressed with the crust and the pepperonis. The crust had a good taste to it and the pepperonis were placed on the pizza perfectly and tasted good! This was a Great Pizza! I will be ordering another pizza from Gino's NY Style Pizza next week!

Not only was he funny and genuinely enjoyable to talk to, but he provided excellent service from start to finish. He definitely added to the overall experience. We started with the smoked fish spread, which was excellent. It had a great smoky flavor, and serving it with jalapeños was the perfect touch. I had the fried seafood platter, and everything was lightly battered, crispy, and full of flavor. It was so good my wife kept reaching over and picking at my platter! She ordered the lobster roll, which was a great-sized portion and absolutely delicious. Great food, great atmosphere, and an all-around great experience. We'll definitely be back. Big shout-out to Cory for the excellent service!

Predatory worker compensation structure - Be aware…read more We recently dined here and noticed the tabletop signs explaining a mandatory 20% "commission" added to every single bill. When speaking with our server, she informed us that management classifies the waitstaff as 1099 independent contractors, meaning they receive a $0 hourly base rate from the restaurant and rely entirely on this mandatory guest fee for their paycheck.I have a physical copy of the check showing this automatic fee. While the sign claims this "supports our team," classifying standard restaurant servers as 1099 workers instead of W-2 employees is a massive red flag that contradicts federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines. Independent contractors set their own hours and operations; servers do not. Furthermore, a restaurant cannot legally leave a server's direct hourly base wage at zero by relying entirely on automatic service fees.We love supporting local staff, but we want our money going to businesses that respect basic labor laws and compensate their employees legally. Hopefully, public pressure will force management to fix their payroll structure. The server said the restaurant was on the verge of bankruptcy and had to make changes. Sadly they chose to break the law. On that note the service was lovely, the food very tasty. I asked to sub corn for flour tortias and she was able. We don't directly live in the area, and its been a while since we've been here. Its always good, with good portions and not a chain. Its so unfortunate.

Service was great. My only complaint is the 20% service charge added to the bill since there was only 2 of us. I totally get adding 20% when there's a large group but how do you justify adding this for 2 people. Maybe pay your employees a living wage so they don't have to depend on the tips? Because of this, I'll think twice about returning.

That's changed since moving to the Gulf Coast of Florida, where the fish at the local restaurant today was probably swimming yesterday. My "go-to" seafood now is a grouper sandwich which I order blackened but NOT fried. I've sampled grouper sandwiches from many local dining establishments, but my favorite is from "Carvor's Fish House" A couple of important notes: 1) Carvor's is only open for LUNCH. Their hours vary, so you'll want to check the website, but they typically close at FIVE PM, with the last order accepted at FOUR PM. 2) Carvor's has NO inside dining The patio is tree-shaded with extra umbrellas but if it's really hot, you may be uncomfortable. 3) Carvor's has COUNTER SERVICE. You go inside, order your food and THEN go back outside and select a table. When your food is ready, a server will bring it to your table. 4) This is downtown Dunedin, and parking can occasionally be a challenge on Douglas Street, but FREE parking is available in the city parking garage across the street. Pictured is my "blackened grouper" sandwich. A refreshing change from the usual French fries is their homemade chilled tomato, cucumber and onion salad. Delish!
