Really like this place, had take out once and went there to eat in last night. Food is great, more Middle Eastern than Greek, the meats, salad and rice that come with the dinner entrees are really good. The fried Kibbe (or Kibbah as the guy at the counter pronounces it) is excellent as well. It's a fun place and the people are very nice. Also got to watch an Armenian cooking show on their TV, which was fun. Would highly recommend this place, and for an added bonus they also own the place next door that makes crepes and waffles for dessert. We went to Gyro Star for lunch today. We ordered 3 Super Gyro's, a Gyro plate and 2 lemon Cakes. This place just keeps getting better and better. The gyro meat is phenomenal and has always been every time we have come. The portions are great size and very filling. I am a creature of habit and always get a gyro every time and it has never disappoint. Worth stopping in and eating it there. Honestly food tastes better when you eat it there than when you get it to go. It is still good to go just better when you get to eat it right when they bring it out to you. read more

I love Gyro Star, it is one of my top favorite Greek places in Washington. I go here frequently because of the fast service and the amazing staff, who are always very nice and attentive to the needs of their customers. There is always music playing and even when it's a rainy day out, the atmosphere in here is welcoming. They have a desert restaurant right next door that they also run. I have never tried their deserts before but based off of their baklava and gyros I bet it is just as good and I am excited to try a crepe or two there as well. read more

The people who work here have great customer service and are fun to be around. The atmosphere is calm with upbeat instrumental type music. When I realized my order had things that were not what I expected that were extremely kind and understanding, additionally quick to fix the dish. Food was great. Phenomenal beef. The pita bread on the side by itself was simple but soooooo good, mixed well with the rice. I haven't had alot of pita bread but boy did I love it. Best Greek in town. The service is excellent and all staff are a very very kind. We always go to Tacoma for Greek but when this place opened and we tried it, we knew we didn't have to leave Bremerton anymore! Seating is limited but if able to grab a table, it's comfortable and aesthetically appealing for a small space. When me and my friend walked in we were immediately greeted warmly, and let us take our time on ordering. The person taking our order has a bright smile and sociable personality, which made me feel welcome. Our food came fast, I got the gyro fries, which were perfectly made, a nice spice blend in the meat and a perfect sauce to go over it. I dunno about you but I'm coming back soon. read more

We make a point of visiting this restaurant every time we have business in Bremerton and frequently order to go when we are unable to. My husband loves the mixed grill plate and I always get the hummus plate with meat! The shawarma and gyros are amazing as well. My husband and I were only in the area for a day and after an event we needed something quick to eat before hitting the road. Service was friendly and helpful. We're recent transplants from Seattle and are happy to have found this gem of a restaurant in our new neighborhood. We've tried the gyros, shawarma, kabobs, and the mixed plate and truly enjoy it all. Oh and the hummus is fantastic, you can't go wrong! I am obsessed with Gyro Star. The staff are always very friendly, their Falafel and Cauliflower sandwich is the best thing on this planet. The inside is really welcoming and they even have a waffle and crepe shop next door accessible from inside Gyro Star. I have never heard a negative thing said about this place, and for a good reason. The food here is amazing! I usually get the classic gyro. It's delish - the pita is soft and warm and it's quite a bit of food! The Greek fries are amazing and their chicken shwarma is also quite good. There isn't anything I've tried here that I didn't like. I've always had lovely, quick service. The food was amazing. Mohammed was very kind and humble. The service was wonderful and gave us plenty of time to order. I couldn't get enough of their lamb.
